Congratulations! I was a caregiver for my mom with dementia for 10 years. In 2015, I was prescribed Alprazolam for stress and insomnia. My mom passed in December of 2019. If you don't mind my asking, how did you taper off? I take 1.5 mg at bedtime and it's time. Any input would be great.

Well done! I’m fortunate that despite taking an extraordinary amount of opiates, I have tapered off of them several times. I’ve taken benzos on and off for years, too. I don’t know why, but I don’t seem to form a full addiction to them. There’s a physiological dependence, but as long as I have good pain control, I can taper off relatively easily. I know how extraordinarily hard it can be for some, I admire your tenacity!

@@alcambrola2834Alprazolam should be tapered under medical supervision, OK? You don’t want to send your BP into stroke-ville. This is not an infrequent medical challenge at all and it’s better to be safe-no one’s gonna judge you! Your health care person is gonna help you do this safely. Best wishes, my friend.

@@alcambrola2834 Be very very careful tapering yourself off benzodiazepines. I quit cold turkey many years ago and nearly died from the withdrawals but I was taking much more than your listed amount. Definitely discuss adjusting the dosage lower and lower with your prescribing doctor to closely monitor tapering yourself. Only 2 withdrawals you can pass away from are benzodiazepines and alcohol so it should be done under medical supervision if possible, you got this!!

As soon as I saw her I wondered if she had been drinking silver. In my 35 years as a nurse I only took care of one man who had been drinking large amounts of the silver solution. He was a mess, from the time I met him he lived about a year. Really a shame, he was a very nice guy with a devoted wife and children.
I'll never forget that shiny silver blue coloring of his skin.

Yep. Colloidal silver definitely had a huge uptick in the 90s and he was riding that wave, but he was making his own, so his dosage was ridiculously high compared to OTC supplements meant to support your immune system (though I doubt there is much, if any, research on if or how this works). He was Smurfy.

    • @lindanelson8400
      @lindanelson8400 9 місяців тому +5

@MrsBrit1 Just out of curiosity I did a search on UA-cam for colloidal silver. I was amazed by how many people have posted videos on do it yourself electrolysis for the silver solution. Absolutely no way to determine what the silver content is on their completed concoctions. If this was ever to catch on big time, we'd be seeing a lot more smurfs walking around. Temporarily.
What's the old saying, "play stupid games, win stupid prizes". May as well be drinking arsenic.

My maternal grandmother had cirrhosis of the liver. The woman never drank a day in her life & the doctors were yelling at her to tell the truth about her “alcoholism”. If it weren’t for my parents & the rest of the sisters & brother in laws, they would have kept treating her like crap. This was back in 1990, hopefully things have changed on the outlook of liver disease.

Same thing was happening to my mother. Her liver disease was caused by Rezulin, diabetes med that they knew caused liver damage but would still be profitable to market even with the lawsuits. @@Trinity9775 Yes, exactly. Why I tell people to be persistent when dealing with a dismissive dr. And I've worked with some nurses that were just awesome; down to earth and used common sense. But the awful one's I've been encountering have been at dr's offices. All I can say is thank God my local hospital has where I can get my own lab and xray results, usually quicker than the drs office gets them. Dumb lazy nurse at my drs office I guess was too busy chatting and eating with the girls in the office to actually take the time to read my lab results. Then nastily tells me she's not a dr. when I ask a question if my issue could be related to an auto immune disease since I have all the classic symptoms, but proceeds to tell me it's probably because I smoke lol. Sorry, I'm ranting. That woman just infuriates me so bad thinking how many others she's done this to. And I have to deal with them again and I'm not looking forward to it.

Her son who's my husband, I'm currently separated from is an alcoholic and has been horrible to her using her and his addiction is more important then his family . I know when she's gone it will only trigger more bullcrao bc he's just a weak minded whine ass if you know what I mean. He takes no responsibility he refuses to grow up narcissistic and treats people who confront him like crap. When I kicked him out he told me to "off myself" luckily for our children I could never . Hi Julie!
UA-cam started recommending your videos to me a few weeks ago and theyve been so helpful. I work in a veterinary ER so we see dying patients frequently. Just this weekend we had a patient going through active death and your videos helped me recognize that fact. Unfortunately the owners were not ready to accept this fact and wanted to persue aggressive support instead of humane euthanasia (so so glad we have that option). I tell folks I work with about your videos when we have these situation.
Thank you for all your hard work educating us, and to all the patient families who allow you to use their videos. All of them are going to make me a better vet and better advocate for my patients end of life care. Because at the end of the day, bodies do know how to die and we in vet med are blessed to have a little power over that to give owners a chance to surround their animals with love as they leave.

As for Colloidal Silver if it is incorrectly made it would not be Colloidal Silver. I am in my early seventies and have been making and using my own Colloidal silver for well over twenty years. I use it externally and in moderation internally daily, never any indication of blue. I have enjoyed many health benefits and it has been used worldwide by many for years. It’s not my intention to go into a long rant about it but I couldn’t just say nothing. Julie, you are so smart! 🤓 😁 💖🤗 You hit the nail on the head with this one!!
I don't know if it was already stated by you or commenters here, if it's not new information. But I just found out her cause of death determination was declared from autopsy to be from organ failure.
The causes for the organ failure were from 1) advanced liver disease from alcoholism, and 2) from anorexia. (I am paraphrasing so let me know if I am remembering it incorrectly.)
So organ failure from Liver disease and anorexia, and then the medical examiner stated it was then, complicated by high doses of colloidal silver. So sad.
Now I am for natural homeopathic remedies. But I think they went on their belief, that she was being told during channeling to take all of that silver by Robin Williams. This makes me so sad. They wrote down dose amounts according to information they received from channeling. But regardless of if that is crazy town or not, you should always check safety of ANY substance with a professional. ALWAYS. Medical professionals like Nurses and Doctors can help check if something is safe first. Even pharmacists are trained to know interactions between medications, natural remedies etc. and also take patient's health condition into dosing as well. That's why we can't prescribe things to ourselves. And also your age determines how you metabolize vitamins and drugs as well. ( Sorry, you might already know. :)
I think the colloidal definitely does that process up. But I wonder how much longer she would have had without it? Seems pretty advanced with the liver disease?
I have known intuitive and empathic people. And there are gifts out there. But if she ever did have gifts, I think she went off the rails with all the psychedelics and alcohol she was drinking all day. So... :'( yes don't drink silver!! Bad...
So yes! You know your stuff, as if we would ever doubt you! (Nurses are the best! ;) Very sad, he family felt she struggled with mental health as well.
How many years of alcoholism does it take to be end stage liver disease like this lady? (Without the colloidal silver or other comorbid health conditions)?

I had Gout in my right ankle when I was 5 years clean and sober. The doctor said it was due to my high intake of processed meat. I did eat a lot of fast food at the time.
Anyway, I did have extreme pain, which at the time, was the worst pain I had ever experienced, including back labor when my son was born. NOW, I have neuropathy pain which is 80% worse than anything I've ever experienced. I have neuropathy in my hands and feet and legs up to my knees. I can't touch anything without wearing gloves or socks. Petting my cats is an absolute NO GO! Even air going across my skin; hands and feet sends me through the roof! My medication is gabapentin and I have missed a dose or two over the years, which makes me wanna cut off my legs and arms, SERIOUSLY!

The air from the ceiling fan makes it hurt, much less having something actually physically touch the area. Having it in more than one place on my body would be a living nightmare. Finally, I thought I had a corn that I couldn't get rid of. Doctor thought it might be gout because of the pain. It is tumorous calcification or something like that...indicative of bodily inflammation. Go figure.

On a day in this past Dec., I walked in my mother’s room, she was on her last days of life and we all knew because of her health that she would soon die and to my surprise, she died, her face was a grey blue and her big blue eyes were focused on the blessed Mother Statue that she had on a table close to her bed! I felt as though the blessed mother took her to heaven, never did I see a face of a dead person look like the color of a blessed statue! I would call it a spiritual happening!

Yeah, there are two types of fatty liver disease...the one caused by drinking a lot of alcohol, and the other being NAFLD or non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, which I'd been diagnosed with. Given I never heard of NAFLD until I was diagnosed with it, I suspect it's becoming more prevalent. Essentially, there are levels of scarring or cirrosis of the liver. Once the liver becomes too scarred, it will fail. The liver is usually pretty resilient, but the scarring can do it in.
