The dude at the end made the right call on that - holy crap, that was some SLICK mud! Even the Morrvair truggled quite a bit... 😲
But Matt is right: it takes some driver skills to drive safely in those slick conditions. Mud, wet mud, wet sand, dry sand, snow, wet snow, icy snow, pure ice - if you don't know the limits of your vehicle you're going into the ditch... 👀

And then there is gumbo mud! that sticks to your tires like rolling up a ball for a snowman! You drive in that by keeping your speed high enough to throw it off. (faster than I ever had nerve enough to go). And it is also extremely slippery.

There's a tiny bit of room for a bruised ego when you're home safe and sound without a damaged vehicle at the end of the day, after having called for help. Whereas there's TONS of room for you to sit with your bruised ego, and whatever else got bruised along the way, if you slide off a cliff and are waiting days/weeks for a recovery of a potentially totalled vehicle.

Not fun? I think that depends on what your used to, and what you like.. I spend more time on ice every year than anything else and while it can be a bit hairy, I still tend to love it... Ice is only bad if you over do the momentum... you can stop on it without getting deathly dirty and expensive to get out-- unlike with mud.
Like Matt was saying, experiance goes a long ways toward what you can and can't do, and I'll add, toward how much fun it is!
I think I'd hate that greasy mud... I could probably do it OK because of the ice experiance, but I'd bet I'd hate it. We dont get that here, here its thick gloppy and deep... instant stuck for anything under full throttle, no slidding around.

I worked for a tow company years ago, they had a giant semi sized wrecker, I always liked the recovery aspect, but there were alot of accidents that were difficult to work. Cattle trailer with 70 cows in it flipped on its side comes to mind, ive never seen so much blood and poop in my life. It was all over all the winch lines, tow ropes, straps, I have never felt that dirty ever. People not knowing their vehicles limits has led to alot more than body damage. This seems like a much more
fun environment to work in. Wish I could go.

I have always been impressed with the filming and editing quality of this channel.
I think, when others get involved, it throws off their filming flow and they end up with choppier editing as a result.
I'm a fan of Robby, but they gotta learn how to edit out the fluff. MORR videos have a great ratio of quality content vs video length. I was doing recoveries in Michigan when I was 16 in 1983, with my lifted 77 K5 Blazer. All my friends had 4x4s, Chevies, Scouts, Broncos, Jeeps, you name it, and they would get stuck all the time, I fabricated my first bumpers at 16 in welding class and had a 30 foot anchor chain and hook welded to the front bumper and frame. Only time I got stuck in that K5 is when I drove into holes dug by construction crews I had no time to stop for, and in a pond I did not realize was quite so deep. I once pulled a Ford Fiesta, F150 and F350 out all at once at 4 am, my dopey friend got his Fiesta stuck in the middle of a mud field a mile into the woods, then got his Dads F350 stuck badly, or whatever the biggest longest Ford was back then, then got his brothers F150 stuck trying to pull them both out and broke the rear driveshaft. They were all still hooked together and I dragged them 100 feet to dry ground all at once because it was the only option. K5s were badass. The dopey friends big brother Bubba whooped him for massing up his F150 that night. His Dad never found out he got his big truck stuck, they were out of town. Good times.
