Technically you've got Dory and all the characters she's played and all the characters that Steve Whitmire, Kermit's puppeteer have played. He been Beaker, Statler, Ernie, Lips the Trumpet player, Rizzo,Wembley, Sprocket, The Muppet Newsman and many more.
There is a hole in the couch and underneath it is a tiny cramped space where Steve Whitmire is puppeteering Kermit. Steve has a television moniter in there with him so he can see what he is doing. Another puppeteer is of to the side of the couch puppeteering the arm.

Back in the 70's I was in the British Army in Germany. Sesame Street was the only TV programme in English. One Sunday whilst out on manoeuvres we were all sitting around a b/w portable in the mess tent watching Sesame Street. I have been a fan of Kermit for over 40 years.
i've always felt that jim henson & the muppets show was good, wholesome, family entertainment. not that innuendos that were over the heads of children weren't slipped in quite often. possibly even more than they are today! lol. that aside, they had puppets for the kids (of ALL ages!) and nightly guest stars for the adults. some of my favorite childhood memories are watching the muppets w my dad, mom, sister & our dogs. best actual FAMILY television show ever!!! in my opinion.
