Please do more of these for death guard! As a visual learner I find translating the book rules to the table, really difficult, but videos like these are absolute gold for me!
I'm wanting to use a 6man deathshroud unit with biologus putrifier with archcontaminator to give them mortal wounds on wound rolls of 6 and reroll all wound rolls, lord of virulence for an additional -1ap on wound rolls of 6 and re roll hit rolls of 1 as well as ferric blight on virulence, and a foulblightspawn with revolting stench vats to shut down enemy charges and fight. firsts. And possibly deep strike a 3man unit. And if my characters get in a pinch where they're in engagement, I can use the blightning to turn 3 blight grenades into pistol 6 auto hitting s4 -2ap (with ferric blight) dam 2 plaque weapons.
I have just watched your video and I would like to say great job! One point I will make is that you cannot use flash outbreak to add in another WT from a different plague comapny. Your plague company would have to be "The Inexorable" to use ferric blight you wouldn't be able to use it if your plague company was "Mortarion's Anvil" or "Harbingers" for example Hope this is helpful and keep up the great work!
I like where this is going early on. How to play Red Corsairs would be a nice one. Just reading about them, they seem to be the more tactically flexible and interesting of the Chaos powers....so far.
Just a thought: what do you think about the use a Foul Blightspawn with Plaguechosen in this pairing as well. The only problem I see Deathshroud Having is higher initiatives, the Blightspawn fixes that problem and with Plaguechosen you can give it Arch Contaminator to keep you rerolls
I love Foul Blightspawn and they are one of my favourite support units. They would definitely help, but it's going to be up to you personally as the problem I would have is getting them nearby the Deathshroud. Mine would be either deepstriking, or getting out of a Land Raider and the Blightspawn can't deepstrike, and I don't have room for him in the Land Raider really.
Good video but my issue is that they get shot off the table before getting into melee range. Any good strategies against Ultramarines and getting these bad boys into range?
