Tom FYI, older trucks Do Not Leak , "They just Mark Their Territory"!
Hahah nice 🙈
To be honest , there's quite a few new ones that do that to ! 😂😂
Our fire company had a ladder truck with a Detroit diesel engine in it. The mechanic, an older fella, always said "You only have to worry when she stops leaking".
@@medtechfire22 Yep... my grandpa always used to say that about his old grey Fergie... If she had a few spots under her then she was fine.... Only worry when she stops leaking LOL
What nice people, it just shows you don't have to be nasty to succeed in business. Thank you Tom for uploading it and introducing these Gentlemen
That's very true. They are just hard working and honest.
Unless we're talking bankers ?
well said
@James Howells Hi how are you?
Agreed!!
I could listen to old boys like that blather about simpler days for hours and hours. Makes me miss my Granda! What a pair of wonderful families you are, still doing business after all this time.. wonderful tom, I hope you're very proud
Totally agree. Such wonderful speaking voices, the brothers have 🥰
@Jeff Makepeace Hi how are you?
How many people can say that they have dealt with the same company since 1934. So humble and appreaciative and genuine people, makes you proud to be british when you hear these stories, i could listen to people like this all day .absolute legends 😊 👍👍👍👍👍
“ The Land Rover necked it self” that phrase will stick.😂😂
Old school businessman, thanks you for the order. Kudos.
Great to see two family businesses not taken over by corporate bullshit.
Your dad looked in his element going round the old trucks.
I met Andrew once (recycling project) and he's not changed in 15 years - I must have a look at the heritage centre - looks fascinating
This!! This is what business is about!! Quality, history, humility, humanity and most importantly Relationships!!
Every time you, your father, and Warings get together, magic happens! The history between your two families and the stories you all tell about your day to day life, as well as the history, is a joy to listen too. 10 - 15 minute videos are just not enough!
Hope you had a fantastic time on your honeymoon, I'm sure you enjoyed the rest. Take care, best wishes to you and the families!
Really lovely family, the Wareing's. It's also fabulous that they continue to succeed and pass on the family business to the next generation. Wonderful to see Tom and Dad relaxing outside of their farm duties.
Love to spend an afternoon with the ginge and them two, just to listen to their stories (No offence tom 🤣)
Its great when a company’s that proud of its past it has its own museum . It also give you confidence in what they are doing for you for the future, you know its made to last
@sean pullen Hi how are you?
Andrew has a lovely soothing voice; I could listen to him all day; it doesn't matter what he is saying. He's like everyone's Grandad.
Great to see two families with a long history continuing to do business with one another
Tom I think that tour made your father’s day. Amazing history.
So cool isn’t it!!
A fantastic video Tom, thank you! There's more to life than any one thing, and to capture these kinds of videos and conversations, to see behind the scenes of families that have supported and been supported by the Pembertons over generations is priceless. And great story telling for future generations too!
It really does feel like we're part of the Pemberton family! Much respect to all, thank you :)
Great video Tom, some knowledge those boys have accumulated over the generations. Good to see a young man interested and spending time with them.
Keep her lit.👍👍👏👏
Tom, thanks to you and everyone for a relaxing informative video.
It's refreshing to see business carried out with old style values of mutual respect.
Preserving our industrial heritage is important too.
I don't know what is more awesome, the trucks or listening to them tell their stories.
Great hearing stories from the older generation of a much simpler life. And a lovely collection of trucks. Nice to see.
Tom, your videos bring a big smile to my face. Thank you.
☺️
How wonderful to hear the history of your families working together. I found it all very interesting and so fantastic for a local British company to be thriving, continuing to expand and training the 5th generation into the company (as will, no doubt, the Pemberton farm 🥰).
Great to see someone acknowledging how great our history is! Well done Tom & co.
Tom this was a great video, really interesting listening to them talk about the history and connection with Pemberton's all the way back to 1934. Just amazing 4th generation connection. Your Dad and the Wareings were obviously enjoying reminiscing about the past. Checking out the classic vehicles was icing on the cake. Thanks BC Canada
@John Sebar Hi how are you?
LOVED THIS ! Peter is just as interesting and charming as Andrew. I love how they have preserved the family history and maintained a business that thrives in the 21st century and is the support of now it's 5th generation.
I could sit and listen to them old boys all day! So many stories and tales to tell thank you!
What an amazing collection of vehicles preserved so well for other generations to remember so the past is never forgotten
That was amazing. Could have listened to Andrew and Peter all day!
Tom that’s a great achievement what you doing on the farm your Da must be very proud of you and too expand the family farm the way you are going with contractors that built buildings back in your grandfathers time is something extremely special mate well done 👍🏼
Good to see and hear of the long history of Pembertons and Wareings working together, long may it last.
@Dick Goodey Hi how are you?
Always love to see heritage objects! It’s amazing to listen to all the stories behind it. Wish there was footage of the organ playing!
Brilliant tales of yesteryear.
Love love love it I like the old folks talking about days gone by
love it... my favourite events are old steam rallies that have those old fair ground organs...Thanks to you all for showing us around...It was very entertaining and interesting.
Absolutely love this kind of content. Dont get to hear too many old timer stories. Would be awesome if you could do sunday vids(story time) from your pops or people you know that dont mind sharing.
Could bring this back? What do people think??
@@TomPembertonFarmLife I always love hearing first hand history like this. It's fun to see the cultural differences in the story details and the telling, but also to see how similar some things are coming from a rural midwest American perspective. Great video, as always, Tom!
@@TomPembertonFarmLife Sunday story time every now and again would be awesome. Your dad, the Wareings, anyone really from the older generations you can convince to share their experiences on camera.
@@TomPembertonFarmLife We know somebody who could narrate them............
@@TomPembertonFarmLife Woold likely be difficult to do as a sit down. The conversation will not flow naturally like this.
Thank you so much for taking us along Tom. I could spend my entire day there. For me, the steam truck was just amazing. Like you said, there’s not many business’s can say they’ve grown alongside each other and supported each other for 4 generations. Amazing.
It's amazing how intertwined your two families are.
This is fantastic i could listen to the older boys telling everybody how it was for hours and hours and long my it continue in fact it must not end we need these old boys telling use how it was so that we can appreciate all that went before.
Could listen to Andrew all day 😊
Was down in this area about 3 weeks ago and the first thing I saw as I left the M55 was a Wareings flatbed pickup 🛻.
OMGOSH that is awesome!! I love seeing the history of businesses! Like you said people do not think to do that anymore. It’s sad. Love seeing the Trucks!! Thank you!!
This was fantastic! Love history and to know your family goes so far back with their history is awesome. I'm in the US but I wrote them a note saying how much I appreciated the work they were doing for you all. Great job!
Ginger guy looked so excited and giddy throughout the whole video. Such a special time. Tom, I hope you can appreciate all that is special about this.
the thing i love about this is not just the collection but the storys behind the history of these vehicles and the loyalty and longevity of the company whitch is rare in this day and age
Listening to history from the people who lived it just makes me smile
@Tom Johns Hi how are you?
WOW that was amazing, I could have watched and listened to that all day. Thank you for that one and thank you to the Waring's for letting you make the video.
Thank you for sharing, love listening to ol'timers talk about history. Fantastic video
@Lance de Bree Hi how are you?
All three old gentlemen have there arms behind there back...super cute ginger warrior!!!
That was great Tom. I could listen to the older gents all day long. Reminds me of my grandfather and stories about the early days of the farm. Your dad looked like a kid on christmas morning. Thanks for making these videos while you are away. We all appreciate it very much.
Absolutely love video's like this.. This is what most of the younger generations are missing out on having the old stories from that generation that actually worked to live and not lived to work xx
Best part of Fridays 14:30 notifications. everything stopes 👌🏾👌🏾
🙌🙌🙌🙌☺️
Absolute joy to watch as are all your videos. Pity there will never be people with this to deal with in the future. Modern businesses are sad soulless places. Bring back the old days 👍
Just magical, heritage is something that we need to preserve and be able to look back on, I remember growing up going to the Pickering traction engine rally, they had some similar old steam trucks and engines just amazing things the engineering alone and power they produce was awe inspiring. Loving the videos Tom and the progress on the farm
I love the fact it has a 3 speed perkins engine in it
It’s amazing how many great stories can be told from old lorries
Great to see a family run business that values it's heritage. Getting rarer these days so thanks for the vid Tom, really enjoyed it and the old stories
Brilliant collection and what a family history 👍
Really appreciated this video! Loved looking at Wareings’ old tools, equipment, and vehicles! The history in that one location is amazing…I can’t even imagine driving a steam vehicle!🤗👏👏
I hope you two are having a great honey moon
Beautiful old wagons top work👍really love the ERF
Great video, the old vehicles were the stuff I love but the best bit was the family history link of working together for so many years, the trust in each other, you can not buy that , it develops over time. Can we see the bus next please.
Pretty cool, my father in law, 91, still tells stories of being an apprentice riveter @ Lytham Boat Yard, before becoming a joiner and leaving when they closed to make the ash frames for the bread vans at the old Cooksons Exhibition Bakery near the green in Lytham used to be opposite the Hospital. Also have seen their collection of faster 'heritage' vehicles at car shows and in competition.. 👋👋🤔👍😀🇬🇧
How fantastic and cool, they have all the history in one place, loved it thank you 👌
I need to visit at some point, I love old machine’s and the history behind them 👍
The Wareings are such humble gentlemen. What a pleasure to meet such wonderful men!
Andrew Waring should be a narrator with that voice.
I have always thought that he was the narrator for Wallace and Gromit
@@craigb4719 that's Peter Sallis from last of the summer wine.
@@craigb4719 🤣🤣🤪
Its a Mr. Kipling or Arthur Negus voice. Also very knowledge to-boot. Yes, can listen for hours. All these stories need to be documented before they are lost.
Love this seeing the history of company's, how it all started etc
That steamer truck is a masterpiece! So much history and the calliope! So much history between your families
its really nice to hear the history and how your family and theres have worked together over so many years
That was brilliant! family's working together through history. Wish there was more of this in the world. Thanks Tom always nice to see and hear from your Dad.
Cherish every moment with your elders , cause before you know it , you'll turn around and they'll be gone 😪 , I know this from experience ❤🙏
Love them vintage cars
Thank you for taking us all long. It is just fascinating to see companies history from beginning to present time. The steam truck was very interesting to see.
I could listen to those stories all day. Thanks for sharing!
Thats some good history there, love the old lorry even the Ford Granada. Awesome video mate 👍
@Dave Wats Hi how are you?
Greetings Tom from the US. I Enjoy all your videos. It’s great to see farm life in another country.
That steam truck is really cool!
Tom, where was the farm in Chipping, I lived in Chipping from 1966 to 1978.
Love seeing old trucks from years gone by. Love hearing Land Rover nicked itself.
Very interesting video lovely to hear them talking about their old lorries must be worth a lot of money
Excellent! Love seeing those old truck being kept up.
What a collection. I could listen to there story's alday
Great vlog and your families obliviously have a long history
Terrific, absolutely stunning vehicles
I dont think you'd quite believe how loud those steam trucks are! I was our in a sentinel 2 years ago... deaf for about 5 days after
That is so cool to see a used and restored past ... even the damn welder! Awesome
It would be the same whenever my Grandfather, Dad, & uncle Tom Cobbley and all, when they got together...it was like living history being played out before your eyes...Oh how I miss them...Tom - treasure up these times they will bring smile to your lips when they have passed...and they will also warm your heart...love from Scotland🎇💞🎇😁🎇
What a brilliant video, brilliant company, fantastic group of guys, fantastic to hear the relationship between Pembertons and Wareings going back so far, great to see a company proud of its heritage/ history. Most enjoyable.
Really enjoyed this one Tom, it’s good to see some heritage in a throwaway society.
The older gentleman with the light blue casual collar shirt, is a humble man, who is respected by everyone. Older generation I look up to. Your father is the same. Great partnership with Quality people.
I love these small museums. Love learning the history of family businesses, especially farm/construction type businesses.
Tom I absolutely love your videos and this one takes me back to my teenage years , I started as a welder fabricator for a very small business on a YTS lol I’m showing my age now . They used to have one of those welders in the work shop and by god was it heavy . Keep the videos coming they are brilliant to watch
I remember that ERF when it was new😄
Fantastic video .. really interesting stuff. Can’t believe people give this a thumbs down🤷what’s wrong with people these days .
A true farmers comment ,touches the arches . My Dad's theory was , "as long as the bumper ain't draggin you're good" LOL
" The African Queen" The greatest movie ever!! :) This was very interesting Tom and King Ginge all hail King Ginge!! LOL ;) Great Family the Warings. :) These brothers could narrate a movie of just steele and I would listen all day long!! :) :)
So many happy memories, I remember the trucks being used in Wrea Green club (field) day when I was a kid. It was great to think about happy times. Old Mr Wareing knew my grandparents the wooden floors in woodcote their house came from Wareings. Tom thanks for sharing this made me smile when I needed it.
Always look forward to every Tuesday and Friday and sometimes Sunday video's keep them coming mate 👍
Wow that’s quite a collection he’s got going there
Nice vid tom
nice to see all our local businesses being promoted so well by you Tom, might pop down to wearings to have a look round one day, its only 20 mins away, i also hope all your other projects go well too, keep it up but don't burn yourself out by doing too much tho
Thanks for sharing Tom that's a great collection there the fairground organ is stunning I've a big interest in old lorries vans etc if only they could talk I bet they could tell some stories alot of great history there
