Would this kit work for you? What’s missing?
Knife?
I agree with the sentiment. But, im pretty sure that a forgone conclusion. Js. 👊🏾🧡🙏🏽🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸@averagejoesmiling456
Interesting that of all these I’ve watched nobody needs, glasses, reading glasses, contacts, RX or OTC meds. Foot orthotics, knee braces , compression socks , inhalers, or so,many other items so many folks need just on a normal day
Commie tears and condoms for small kit water bags.
@averagejoesmiling456 multi-tool has at least 1 . Not so large blade but better than 0. Doesn't appear to be a INCH Bag so don't expect that level of equipment ? All these kind of guys probably have 10 different bag kits laying around in different areas of thier house , shed , basement, vehicle its not his only 1 😜
Bill is awesome. Great guest choice 🤙🏻🇺🇸
This dude knows what he’s doing. Well prepared.
This is the most impressive system I have seen on UA-cam . Very practical , no fluff.
The main things I would add is a poncho, 3 quarts of water storage (canteens), canteen cup and stove (much of Colorado is semi-arid), two construction grade trash bags, a sleeping bag, a more extensive IFAK and candles for fire starting and extension! A high-speed communication device! A full-tang knife and a 7" folding saw for wood processing! Last but not least instant coffee and sugar, and millennium bars, good for morale! Thanks for the video!
This is a crazy collab that was needed ❤
I'm with Bill on the gloves: I despise cold hands, so I have devised a layering system for gloves that work for me, and I always have gloves in my kits. Thanks for another great video!
Cold hands suck!
Really wasn’t planned to have all 3. Had cleaned up the back of the truck and just put em in the pack a week or so before this.
@@STOKERMATICyou got a new sub. But, to be honest, next time, please provide info for procuring and assembly. Thanks. God bless. 👍🏽🧡🙏🏽🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Professional advice for us amateurs.
Dummy chord. The time I took my SAK off a dummy cord, I never saw it again.
Nail clippers
My SAK has scissors but clippers can save the day.
Repair kit , esp to repair your bag.
I use larger dry bags that can take my pack + clothing in.
Thanks.
Stoked to be able to share some time with ya!
Great having you!
Nice job Bill! Glad my truck kit looks similar. Love the kevlar twine though. Need to look that up and maybe some magnesium pills lol.
Good to see you on this channel Top.
@@AntiFederalist58 👊
Thanks for sharing the information.
Nail clippers are a life saver. Underrated inclusion. Gotta take care if your hands
Fantastic kit! Love all the seperate pill bottles
Extensive yet practical - for wet wooded environments. Solid practical info - thanks guys!
Very well made and a fantastic collaboration. Much appreciated content. Thanks 😊
Roadflares and duraflame logs are great for starting fires in pouring rain.
Yes they are. There is no such thing as cheating in survival.
an electronic lighter will always be my first choice, and I have one in every kit, bag, whatever... they can come really small, thin, and lightweight... and I can recharge them with so many ways... Bicks will be my second, still many around and a few more ways... I have 5 sets of gloves too... but not in the same bag...
Great collaboration. Cool stuff, gentlemen.👍🏻
Thank you kindly
Always good to have good people in your life!
Thanks for sharing see ya on the next one
I'm going to check out the stream light. A head lamp is real handy. I worked outdoors now retired in heavy equipment and in the livestock industry and I guarantee hands free light is important.
I have recently started to carry a small saw back machete. At 69 my eyesight is not as good as it used to be I carry extra glasses and small binoculars. The binoculars have helped in traffic jams where I could see far enough ahead to help me decide if I needed to take a different route or help me identify coyote or game that I could take in season. I also have a HAZMAT background where binoculars help identify Hazardous Materials placards from a distance.
Great video, thanks
Just Subbed Stoker good knowledgeable dude
During bushfires/wildfires (riot fires etc) being able to access wetwipes to remove soot is a blessing.
You guys got me stoked 😁🤣
Year round wool socks here as well Gents👍
Smart!
I enjoyed this and it brought up things and ways I hadn't thought about. Thanks, guys. I watch his channel too. Take Care and Stay Safe.
Glad you enjoyed it
Good to see stoker on your video. Probably a great guy to hang out with.
In addition to any other frequencies in your radio, don't forget FRS, GMRS, MURS, NWS (Weather Radio) & AMSAT.
The newer GMRS HTs are strong performers. We have a video in the works on them.
My favorite flavor is yellow. My favorite number is F. Thought you should know
Love stoker ! Always enjoy his perspective and knowledge
Works for me. My set up is almost the same as what both of you run.
Good video brothers. GOD Bless and Semper Fi brother!
Much appreciated
Semper Fi!
Great setup. Recommendation for the bag with the Benadryl and other meds is to take a permanent marker and write the expiration date of the meds on it.
Where do live that you feel the need to carry all that gear? EDC: cellphone, house keys, DL/ID, credit/debit card, 100 in cash, pocket knife, small tac flashlight, walking shoes, jacket depending on weather, small pak tissue, 20oz water, done.
It’s not EDC…it’s in my truck (every day)
Just silly, I guess.
Another good video full of useful info. Side note, offset the time tab on your TQ.
What’s a TQ?

Cool, thanks
Bill is awesome!........oh, and I know where he got that Grayl 😉
Good concise kit. Thx
Thanks for watching!
I hate that tape too 😂.. Only Gorilla tape for this 1st Responder ☝🏻We used that Streamlight in the field as well.. Best one in my opinion 👍🏻 Fingernail clippers are the most underrated tool to carry imho.. Honey Smack Diggin!
Love Stoker!! Thanks!
Us too!
Water is an issue here unless its rainy season but I always carry a 30 Pack of Budlight
!😊. Great Vid! Thanks for your service Bill. Thanks for the upload!🍻✌🏻
Lol. Gotta stay hydrated
Very good guys.
Thanks.
The handsfree Streamlight is the "SIDEWINDER COMPACT® II HANDS FREE LIGHT" right?
Stoker is awesome. Thanks for the collab! PNWStrong
Stoker is getting around!
Round, round, get around, I get around!
@@STOKERMATIC 😂👍
Thank you
You're welcome!
The medical tape issue is the difference between cheaper medical paper tape, which does not stick well on wet surfaces like bloody or sweaty skin. Use high grade surgical tape instead.
You’re right about that
The grayl filters last longer if you keep water in the container.
Lots of extra crap, imo. I'd shave at least a pound and add an extra battery and maybe upgrade shelter components. Also missing some type of lock bypass tools...absolutely critical in any urban setting. I'd add a couple of rakes, a full set of turning tools, and maybe a hacksaw blade at minimum. Great video! 🙏
Cool video
Thanks
I would add a poncho liner with zipper, bivy cover and klymit static v .
I call BS on the sil cock versus needle nose pliers. I am currently going through a leaking coolant system that i am trying to schedule time off to make the repair. Until then, i have come across two valve key sizes and the needle nose pliers have worked in both. That covers every building in our county built new after Hurricane Michael came through.
Just wondering if your boots are gortex? If so, don't you find the foot powder gums up the pours of the boots.
Also just curious if you ever pack gortex undergarments and socks for the non gortex boots?
Thanks
Bob
The pores in Gore-Tex are microscopic, and the membrane itself is separated from the foot by the boot lining and usually a layer of Thinsulate, so to answer your question - no.
There are dietary supplements of magnesium (and I've just never tried because of fire extinguishing) but, are they usable? (Viewer lives in an apartment)?
What model of stream light is that headlamp thanks
Bill your kit is scary similar to mine.
Does your pack have a rain cover, or do you carry a large trash bag to cover your gear?
The kevlar cordage sounds interesting!
Didn’t show it, but in the bottom of my pack is a 55 gallon drum liner. Plus having everything in a dry bag helps
@@STOKERMATICYou can also wear a big trash bag as a raincoat, or use it for floatation.
What is the Streanlight headlamp model?!?!
Folks, buy your Sillcock key from a reputable company, AND check it to be sure it is in spec.
Sweet deal ✔️
whats the head light called i need it. thats amazing bc in a post apoctaliptic world finding a battery would be amazing bc 3 types work with it!!!
It's a Streamlite
What streamlight headlamp is that
I'd rather have my whistle on my person than on the pack. However, if you are going to do what Bill did I'd suggest making one shorter than the other so they don't bang together as you walk.
A 10 min road flare will make coffee for a squad in a pinch. ( BTDT ) Squad Leader / Hero on a cold morning in the field.
Ha! That is awesome!
Does cold food not work like.cold water and make your body burn more calories
Nail clippers are an often overlooked item
I carry a mani/pedi kit.😊
Stanford Outdoor Supply sells those magnesium pills.
what is the name of the headlamp ? please .
Streamlite
👍
I wear thick wool socks when its 100°f in the tropics . No problem . 😂
Me too!
@@SurvivalDispatch 🤣🖖🍻🏝🪞
A betaine torch is kind of assume /check it out .
Flares are great to get out of the middle of a mob if you have to.
Last summer I went into the wilderness for almost two weeks, I took Bic-lighters, left the feral rod at home.
Good for you. Keep living the good life
You say you don't carry any water that there is water everywhere around here. But this is a get home bag so assuming you're not around your here shouldn't you have water?
But…I am from around here…
What model headlamp is that
Stream light sidewinder

Sorry sidewinder II
Cowabunga.!
Dude!
Great video. But he wasn't exactly forthcoming with how to procure or produce much of this kit. More explanatory info would be helpful to people. ( especially newbies)
Most of it is available on Amazon.
The Department of Redundancy Department requires 3 or more pairs of gloves.
Ha!
😂
Maybe you should go through the bag more or practise with it abit, seems unused. If u do just disregard this.
🇦🇺😎👍
No baby wipes ??
Definitely had baby wipes in the video 👊
his tourniquet is fake, the real CAT has a gray time tab.
FAKE!
Well, this is the only guy I know that gets jealous, and then acts like a 2 year old, so, see ya!!
