It's like compound action in bodybuilding, all you need is bench press, pull-up, deadlift squat, and press. Five actions in your workout. You will be strong like a Greek god. It's always simple but hard.
Great information! Also, you have beautiful eyes. I’m sure you heard this a million times :-) Please don’t take this in a bad way. It’s all good and I have much respect for what you are doing. Thanks again
El secreto es vivir tus pasatiempos o aprender sobre temas que te interesen en el idioma que quieres aprender. Cuando quieres comunicar una emoción es más fácil que fluya y pienses en el idioma que estás aprendiendo.
“Be who I am but in Spanish.” is a KILLER definition. I appreciate the need for A1-C2 designations in their contexts but I don’t want to “win” Spanish or impress internet kids. I want to be me with as many people in my life as possible.
This is so true! I’ve been consistent for three months and I’ve seen huge growth! I’d also say using different studying techniques and method of input throughout the week is important to not get bored and make it interesting. Some days I’m watching the news, hearing a podcast, using Rosetta Stone, using my Spanish workbook or Language Transfer.
SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK 🙌🙌🙌 You're completely on the right track Josh! That's precisely what I did too. While I did listen to podcasts almost daily, the rest of the week I'd switch between practicing with language partners, reviewing vocab, reviewing & re-writing my notes & corrections, and learning from song lyrics.
I love your definition of bilingual. It feels right. And everything you have said is true. Learning is both easy and hard. it is easy because all you have to do is keep studying and you will definitely keep getting better. It is hard because you absolutely have to keep studying and never give up. With regard to the perception of not making progress, it is a bit like filling a bath tub with buckets of water. The first bucket puts a whole bucket's worth of water into the bath. The second bucket doubles the ammount of water in the bath. But the third bucket only increases the ammount of water in the bath by a third. The fourth bucket only increases the amount of water in the bath by a quarter. The next only by a fifth. The next only by a sixth. Each new bucket load increases the water in the bath by the same amount, but that amount is an ever decreasing percentage of what is already in the bath. As the bath gets fuller, each new bucket seems smaller by comparison. The bath WILL get full if you keep adding buckets. But each new bucket will look like you are adding less and less. It is the same with learning. The more you know, the smaller each daily exercise adds to your knowledge in comparison.
Two things must be present or it is a waste of time. The learn has to want to learn the language and he has to invest the time to learn it. After that the core elements are pronouncing the sounds correctly, understanding the sentence structure and adding vocabulary. If the enthusiasm is there the learner should have a reasonable ability to converse in Spanish.
One of the things that I despise the most is when people bastardise good words (oh so common with Yanks) because of sheer laziness. So your "vocab" earned you thumbs down! Besides, your video was a total waste of time, since you didn't tell me anything I haven't heard in the school already.
Personally I use Anki App because I started with it and just continue to use it, but I recommend Quizlet to my students. It's more user friendly and way more efficient for importing new vocab.
What info are you looking for? How to book? If so, the link is in the description of this video. How does the session run? I ask the student to talk to me about their history with learning Spanish and what their goals are. I then give suggestions for a study plan (including resources) based on that. The notes I take during the session, the links to the resources, and the suggestions for study are emailed to the student after the session.
Lots of stuff will work. You need someone to speak the language with. (italki or a tutor you’ve acquired in a more personal way-that works) You need to start reading after the first month or so. Use any combination of programs out there; Duolingo is fine. 4 hours per day 6 days a week. Be voracious. In 6 months you’ll have an immense amount of any Western European language. Probably you’ll be into B2, but at least very close to the end of B1. Oh yeah, a decent grammar book for reference.
Hey Guy, It's Borhan here! I'm a huge fan of your "Kerry Brennan" UA-cam channel. Your content is always top-notch, and I can see the passion and effort you pour into each video. I believe you have incredible potential to reach an even wider audience with a solid UA-cam strategy. I would love to schedule a short meeting with you to discuss how I can help you grow your channel faster. This is not a sales call, but an opportunity to share ideas and offer assistance. Let me know if you're interested, and we can find a convenient time to chat. Thanks for your time and for creating such amazing content. Keep up the fantastic work!
💯 it’s all about the consistency and small daily tasks that add up to big monumental success!
Coming from the 4th top realtor in the entire STATE for your brokerage!! You know what success is about, lady! ❤❤
Thank you! Great advice. (by the way, you have such a beautiful face, you could model. Danish and French?)
This is my fourth go-round with learning Spanish.
Thanks for the inspiration.
Don’t stop! It’s not in your vocabulary list of phrases. But if you want to learn how to say it: ¡No te detengas! (informal). ❤
