When I came to live in New York City, I was 19 years old and I didn’t speak any English, English is a hard painstaking language to learn that takes a long time to master. I went to school thinking that that’s all I needed to learn English, and I was wrong about that, because all I learned was Grammar, I never had any problems with grammar, then I started learning English on my own by studying and learning vocabulary and idioms. To start learning English from scratch as an adult takes a lot of effort and energy not to mention time and dedication. I speak English as a result of hard work and dedication, and it’s a lifetime endeavor.

I understand only 40% but I’m so glad that I started to understand any person any native speaker, yeah I know that I need to practice more, I’m learning English everyday and each week My English becomes better then the last week I’m happy I didn’t know that my English so improved, but it’s only begin of my life and I have the goal to reach my level

All what you said is true , now i still learn English but when I speak English i find myself have mistakes so i understand what people say with English but sometimes i can't talk .. this not makes me hate this language or feel failure just you should keep practice and be brave to become fluently in English .

Really was a boom for me when you did say languages are for comunicated not for be perfect and yeah if someone is learning spanish like me who im learning english ill never judge then.
