After coming back from Thanksgiving to last Tuesday, I made up about 13 assignments in my music theory class, a lot of which were hour long listening assignments. One was a concert I went to literally the night the final was due with my whole class because we all still needed a concert assignment and one was the take home final which legit took me 10 hours. There were still a few missing assignments, but I brought my grade up to a B-. At midterms, my grade was so low they didn't really even quantify it in the grade book, so I'm happy.

What worked for me in college when I had group projects was make a meeting with the group to discuss what we should all do. I also made sure everyone knew that if you didn't show up you got the scraps of what everyone else didn't want to do, so you were most likely left with the less interesting parts. Still sharing the load of course, but you can't pick the thing you want to do. Helps to get people to actually think about their schedule instead of just cancelling the minute something more fun comes up. If you don't want to put in the effort you can't expect everyone to bend backwards for you🤷♀️

It got worse with those intrusive thoughts after the loss and before my dad passed, I had also been tapering off my meds for more than a year without the help and supervision of the psych, because guess what, they had no idea how to help me with it, and only knew how to just drug me to the point I could not think straight. Essentially, I am on my own now, dealing with grief, anxiety and withdrawals. Friends have all left or turned cold towards me. No persons of authority are compassionate on me. My mom is grieving in her own way. Society is truly cold, and too tough on kind, sensitive souls like me. I would never exercise that kind of apathy on anybody who needs the most compassion.
@@charlottea8555 given the limited time, I have decided to just write and research along the way. I hope that given my truly hard circumstances, an extension to mid-April can be granted.
I'm so sorry you had to go through this, I just can't believe how things are being held. 😢
As a procrastinator myself who did every assignment I ever got in the week before the deadline. I can relate. 10/10 video never stop. Happy Holidays.
Honestly you might be the most relatable person ever. People pleaser, procrastinating, and a pool of suspicious medicine in your bag.
No cause you’re so right about communications assignments 😭 loved this vid!
it’s only rewarding to finish an assignment if there’s like a 90% chance you’ll get a terrible grade on it anyway because it’s 4 weeks late
no seriously its the fuel
I haven’t even watched the video yet so idk if you got all your work done but GIRL. Girl i am so proud of you for just starting it. Like god damn good fucking job???? You genuinely rock. You might have dug yourself into a hole but you put the shovel down and started to climb out. That shit’s hard (speaking from experience.) don’t shame yourself and let yourself feel proud of making the best out of a bad situation (EVEN IF YOU’RE THE REASON FOR THE SITUATION IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!)
THIS WAS SO NICE THANK U SO MUCH
This is so relatable whether it's about group projects or assignments, i always had team members who never want to do anything in project, i had to do all the work by myself and then do my assignments, exams, stress was over the roof, sometimes i find myself about to cry due to all this. Seeing this video realizing other people go through this felt so relatable
Im not even started the video yet, but imma horrified. Now my bio and chem and russian exams that I started to prep for TODAY and have 66 days left do not look THAT impossible. Thank you, seriously.

As a former communications student, watching this given me bad PTSD as I remember getting sick at the end of each semester up until graduation. I am happy you got through this semester with impressive scores given your circumstances and you deserve all the rest you can get this break.

The most music major thing you could do ever is do all of the music theory assignments in one sitting lmaoooo
@@katiemutschler6040that and do aural skills listening assignments in a practice room with a whole group of people
a 10 hour take home final should be illegal. im so glad u made it through

thank u so much
i wanna try this in my engineering semester next semester, estimated chance of succes 0.01%

why is everyone saying this
this feels like old youtube and i here for it
this video being recommended to me felt like a sign from the universe. i procrastinated myself into needing to complete an entire course and a half in four days and seeing your success was some much needed motivation
One time, I fell asleep during what was supposed to be an "all nighter". I slipped my paper into my professor's employee box later that evening. I had 5 research papers due that week. It was a nightmare.
the library doesn't open until noon? girl, the fact you don't have a 24 hour library is INSANE to me. I am in England so idk if it's done differently wherever you are but the 24 hour library is a lifesaver for me sometimes
It depends on the size of the school. In undergrad, I went to a small state university with 5,000 students. On Sundays, the library was open from 12:00-4:00pm.
Generational comeback. I would have given up. College will make you surprise yourself. Love the personality 😂. Checking out your other videos. A win is a win. Better to pass with a C than repeat the class.
c's get degrees!!!!
u r so real. being non-stem doesn't mean being less smart or whatever.. i am EXHAUSTEDD of the language classes. at some point, the language and reading and words just mash up and it's your 7th essay of the first two months and you have to read 150+ pages by that week and also write a creative project and also study the hardest language you have ever learned for a quiz... klajiufhuiahbfdi.
THANK YOU
FRR, y'know what's worse tho? stem AND humanities double major 😭
I distinctly remember when I was so fed up with a chem problem that I looked for any humanities ("easy") work to do, and realized the only work I had was memorizing 80 Japanese kanji 💀when I tell you my heart shattered

This is so funny to hear as a physics student. All we do is calculate stuff and write programs or mathematical proofs. I haven‘t written a single essay in the first semester and everything we do is more or less little work but incredibly difficult to understand. A weekly exercise sheet with 4-7 exercises takes between 3 to 6 hours to complete depending on the class. I‘m really happy to not have to write any essays anymore lol
@@guntera3845mechanical student here. I this semester I had to write 50 page essay theory, derivation of patterns and calculations about thin plates and coatings, 30 page essay about shape memory polymers, 20 pages about modal analysis of the truss, and now one modal analysis essay left. And we also had at least 30 reports from laboratory classes to make. + we had a test every month from every subject (we have 9). In the meantime I should have started my thesis, but had no time. I always wonder how sb can make all the semester work in one week. But it seems like only my uni wants us to do sth all semester.
You're good attitude and editing really turns this from my worst nightmare to actually watchable and fun! Seriously though I hope no one ever has to go through this again 🥲
As a STEM girly, I would spontaneously combust if I tried this
What worked for me in college when I had group projects was make a meeting with the group to discuss what we should all do. If you don't want to put in the effort you can't expect everyone to bend backwards for you🤷♀️
I’m so glad this popped up in my recommended you are great
awww stawp!
As a STEM major who is new here, you made me laugh and smile. Thank you!

You are an enigma. You simultaneously present a baffling naïveté about college, but then you complete a whole semester in 3 days. Get 'em girl, I guess.
as a STEM major this amount of projects and essays terrifies me
Do you guys get less assignments worth more points? I’m switching to a stem major next semester so I’m really curious
@ It depends a lot on the class and prof. My calc 3 class was super chill, tons of homework assignments to pad out the grade (around 70 of them) with 4 exams. I know that some of our OChem classes just have 3 exams, with each being worth 33% of the final grade, making them totally different. You'd prolly be better off asking stem majors at your uni or checking ratemyprof reviews
no wonder u killed that marketing class, the editing in this video is so good
This is WILD I love you
also massive congrats!!!! brilliant work
7:11 I'm a Communications major, and it's not hard, but most of the work asks for the same thing, and it takes so long. The amount all-nighters I pulled just to get work done on top of writing for the schools newspaper website. It was challenging, but I was able to push through and pass all my classes this semester with A's
congratulations!!!
are you kidding this is the best video i’ve seen on youtube in years
thats so nice stawp!!!
I'm a business major, but I totally agree with doing homework for so long that you just feel kind of bland and lifeless and like you have no personality 😂
the fact that she was able to complete 11 assignments in 1h, and get such grades even though she was late on most assignments speaks volumes about whatever field she's in. Holy fuck this is what people are getting in debt for.
Holy shit the editing of this video is so funny, and everything abt it is reltable. ur the type of student that I would try to sit next to in class to hope we get paired for an in class out loud discussion assignment 💀
AHA thank u so much! thats so nice

thats typically how it is for my school too, luckily my professors were super understanding!!! congrats on finishing finals 🥳
Really glad you got your grades up! I honestly think this was kinda inspirational and showed how if you take a few days to "lock in" and at least just START on something you can achieve something good from it.

The way you made this video is so real and satisfying. You gained a new subscriber. You’re very funny and I really enjoyed!
thank u so so much snazzy16!!!
I'm just impressed you got it done in three days, and that the assignments didn't have a subtract a percentage for lateness each day after the deadline type criteria.
luckily my proefessors were super understanding, and the final exams/group worked weighed heavy enough to boost my grade!
your university library opening at midday and closing at like 4 at the end of semester is WILD!! at my uni (in australia) we always had at least one library open 24/7 the week or two before exams
You are literally my new favorite person on the internet. This video was awesome

thanks i needed this. not at all ready for an exam in a week and this motivates me
There was an engineering video that was shown in my school, and it demonstrated a badly designed and manufactured car parking structure.
On the roof, a party was held, and due to the in sync. jumping, there was huge deflection , and the floor was underneath.
For most cases, parking structures are designed well due to license requirements in countries.
But not always the same quality country to country
straight up I've been here, and good for you, you pushed through
This college is a joke 😭 How the hell can you get a 97 when you cram the entire semester into 3 days? I’m in highschool and you miss one assignment, it goes in as 0, no make ups, and your average grade goes down like 5 whole damn points.
fr it makes 0 sense
i saw the thumbnail and i was like 'no way a professor allowed this shit' 😭 i have some very nice professors but this is crazy
It's the major lol
Try this shit with a STEM major, you're so incredibly cooked that you might as well give up. An entire semester's worth of work? It will take well beyond 72 hours (3 days), you have no chance.
yeah it always baffles me how some colleges allows students to do this. but ig the people who go there probably don't care and are just wasting their education anyways.
@CalvinAytch and she didn't even work solidly for those 3 days either!

For group assignments always divide and conquer. List all the tasks and everyone has to put their name beside their task(s).
THANK UU!!! this is so smart & simple
that's like the opposite of the point of group work
@@spookeymotrue but if you don’t do it then you get this
@@spookeymo do u have a better alternative then?😂 .. serious question
@@spookeymo ackshually 🤓 the power of group work lies in the fact that the tasks are divided up and everyone can specialize. SAMEE im taking asynchronous online classes but after mid-november, i kinda just noped out and ended up laying on my bed scrolling tiktok, twitter every day until now 😭 im realizing synchronous classes work better for me (since theres someone holding me accountable and teaching me rather than self-learning) so i signed up for semester 2 live classes. but i cant be eligible for them unless i finish my asynch courses ughh :( so i have 63ish assignments and i gotta finish them over this winter break, and then dedicate all january to PROCTORED exams 😭😭 ik at the end of this, i will be so relieved but idek where to start so this vid will be helpful !!

To me, group projects in college are stupid. I’m the one paying for my education, the responsibility and expectations should be only on me. Why should I be forced to put my grade in someone else’s hands?
Because you unfortunately have to work with other people in the real world
If you think group projects are stupid, wait until you get a job where EVERYTHING is a group project 😂

What college is this?
My community college doesn't allow this late of assignments to be uploaded and even take exams. When we turn in late assignments, every day of the late assignment cost us 10% off from the grade we received. This is for both online and in person classes.
It's less about the college and more about the professors and what they will allow.
