ぱっと見だと客車の違いが判りにくい……。
底面と機関車寄りエンドの表面処理、行先表示、窓割の変更くらいでしょうか。
先頭形状はAGVとペンドリーノの間を取った感じに見えますね
先頭車のベースはアメリカのアセラ・エクスプレスの後継車のアヴェリアリバティをベースにしているみたいですね。客車は7両ですが、TGVに連結されているカフェテリア車両はまた後日…ということでしょうか?

随分今までのＴＧＶに比べてノーズ部分が長くなった感じがしますね。
先頭部分のエッジも効いてるし日本の新幹線みたいに高速時の空気の整流効果での騒音削減とかも考慮してるのかな？
勝手な感想ですが、客車はシンプルでいい感じに思えます。
ただ、先頭動力車がずんぐりしててお世辞にもカッコいいとは思えませんでした。
全長がかなり短くなって、その分客車を増やせるということなのでしょうか。
個人的には、ユーロスター(TGV-TMST)が一番カッコいいなと思っています。
仰る通りで、機関車の全長を短縮することで客車の定員を増やすというコンセプトだそうです。機関車単体で見ると不格好ですが、編成で見ると角度によってはまあまあという個人的な印象でした。

I don't understand, TGV looks so out-dated compared to Shinkansen. Why there are so many patches on the power car?
because the engine is not at the same place on each train
Simply because this train is equiped with all sort of testing tools and sensors that are nor standard for commercial trains. This one came her just for test on the "mach loop". I guess all those tests and measures are already terminated and I hope that tis train passed every test with a OK and it should be close to certification.
This train does not lok out dated, it's more than au to date.
Shinkansen is Shinkansen and TGV is TGV ; both are usefull, and both have old fashoned elements, first TGV are currently scrapped.
This "outdated" train is the fastest train in the world (record speed 575 Km/h). Maglev is not a train, it's maglev a different product with another track system.
Out-dated? 😂😅 it looks really advanced. Remember that TGV is one of the fastest trains in the world. This new generation of TGV is a great product of cutting-edge technology and engineering, definitely not a product from the past.
I don’t understand why you have drawn to this conclusion? totally biased… it’s a brand new generation of TGV, and the older generation TGV duplex has the world record of the fastest train in the world. Neither of them looks out-dated compared to Shinkansen trains.
