Can you attached an external monitor besides the flip screen and add the rhode mic in the same camera? What attachment i will be needing to make this setup happen? Hopefully you make a tutorial on that setup. Many thanks.
I think there are lot of people who like to throw rocks and pixel peep, and aren't actually out there using the camera. You don't see those people online bitching and complaining lol.
The fact that so many people scrutinize this camera made me think it wasn't a good option to upgrade when entering the full frame world. Nice video. Thank you.
Sean, I Just saw your video interview with Tim Schmoyer and I just wanted to say I appreciate your work and you as a genuine person in this space. I'm also a family man trying to utilize UA-cam as means to provide for my family, and hearing you share your story was inspiring, so thanks for that.
Hey Sean, congrats on Canon's sponsorship. Honestly, you're the main reason I have a Canon M6 right now and enjoy shooting videos with it. And also, you're my primary motivator to shoot better videos. Keep it up! 👍🏻
Think Media Thanks a lot! And while you're here, I have a Quick question for when you have time: My channel is about creating better content, mainly for storytelling and copywriting but also some tips about freelancing. Is this too broad for a cta like you do at the beginning: "I help you to become more successful via utilizing the power of words. If you're interested, consider subscribing" your opinion means worlds to me, should I narrow it down?
exactly man i see so many bad reviews about the camera not having 4k. The camera is meant for photography and like you mentioned most people can't even run 4k. To run 4k you need to invest in a good computer rig algo with a good monitor.
Nikon Af tips: put the camera on shutter mode, so the shutter is locked at 1/50th (24fps ofc) and then the camera will set aperture on its own. Set autofocus to wide and not face recognition. With this setup, the lens does not make a single sound (af-p) whilst recording, and autofocus is smooth, not hunting, going back and forth etc..
I gotta tell ya, your camera reviews are the best on UA-cam. Any more yours are the first I look for. So many others gloss over the stuff I really want to know. We’ll done on this one. I was on the fence about the 6d ii but after watching this I think I’m going to buy one. Thank you, and great video.
This video is just what I need it. I want to buy this camera but there is to many bad reviews about it and it makes my desire for it disappear. However this video made me see why I want to buy. Thanks so muchhhhh.
Hey Sean, this video was really informative even for a non-DSLR user, but I just got an sl2, so could you please explain some of the best settings for it?
Hey Sean, Came over from Video Creators. It was really encouraging to hear about faith and about how making videos for the church Youth Group got you started making videos. Keep doing what you do! God bless you :)
Hey Sean! Thanks for another great video. I started watching your videos on this channel as well as "Video Influencers" about two weeks ago when I decided I wanted to start a UA-cam channel myself and finally worked up the courage to do so today! You have earned yourself a subscriber!
Well I'm not a Canon user but I love this video. I'm a Sony user. I have a Sony a6300 and Sony a7ii. And I can say those are great cameras as well. Recently made a short film with a Sony. Now of course the canon cameras are great but you can vlog with sony too and use the app for composing your shots. You're awesome and love your videos 👏👏
You did a very good job with this video! I think the Canon line is still the way to go for vlogging, from the 6D2 - 80D - SL2 - G7XII - and maybe the new M series. There's a camera to meet your need.
Sean that's one nice full frame camera awesome tutorial you put together. Thankful to God he has giving you this platform to help other. I don't think people realize how many hours you guys put into editing how much effort it takes thanks again for all you guys do in your videos I appreciate everything One Love and God bless you and keep crushing it
Just found this video, really interesting... I am a total newbie, never made a video, but I know my 6d mkii has the potential. Couple of questions... How do yuo decide on content? The what, why etc? Also I'd like to know about lighting, what works? How does lighting affect the in camera settings? Thanks for the video, will be checking out more!!
Can you recommend a mic to use with 6d mark ii travel vlogging? Ideally I will walk around street describing the surrondings. Now I might point the camera to any direction from time to time and that might mean sometimes towards me. What I need is a mic that records my voice regardless of camera view direction.
If you're on a budget and can't really afford 6d mark 2 and go for 80d. Would it make a huge difference other than the big change in sensor? Plus can you do a comparison with the 80d and 6d?
Pixel & Bracket GET THE *SONY* and don't hesitate! The Sony has better video performance, settings, and 4k as well. I was going to get the 6d mark ii but went with the Sony a7r iii instead and have zero regrets.
Simple Guys Tech Talk great to hear that, didn’t realize the A7R III was already out (need a camera very soon) and now that I’ve seen plenty of examples I’m pretty much sold on it or a7 III if it can ship soon enough
Hey sean, great video. I have a question regarding the 6d mark ii. I used to take a picture with the gray card with the 70d while recording. However, you cant do that anymore with the 6d mkii. Would you say take a picture on camera mode with auto? Manual? How does that work? Btw thanks for the LUTs. I will prob get it and use the code soon.
Yeah! I might use digital stabilization. I didn’t really know I had that option and since I am using a 16-35 without IS it probably will help me! Thanks!
Thanks so much for yet another amazing video. I really appreciate the helpfulness of the content you put out. Playing with the idea of starting a proper UA-cam channel, and ThinkMedia is where I'm getting my info from! Will look into getting this camera - it looks phenomenal.
Hello Sean, so if you have the camera on image stabilization and you walk with it having the camera attached to the gorilla pod pressed against you, does it come, sort of, very close to using a gimbal? Is it smooth? Thank you so very much for your videos
Great video. I've been making music videos on a T6i in indoor light and it's always been too grainy. So I just pulled the trigger on a 6D Mark II. I think I will really like this DSLR better and I'm excited to finally be getting into using a full frame sensor. I'm well experienced with astrophotography and microscopy so I know how squeeze out clean dark images. I didn't realize EF-S was not compatible so I'll be parting with my stock EF-S 18-55mm. For now I have a Rokinon 14mm f/2.8, Canon 50mm f/1.8, and a Tamron 70 - 200mm f/2.8 which will all be useful and I'll add that Canon EF 24-105mm as well. All your settings mentioned will be helpful for my video work.
Hello. I am a student who wants to buy a camera. But I'm not sure what to buy. The camera I am thinking about now is 80d and 50m, so which one should I buy? As I am an industrial design student and a stage design student, I take many pictures of my work. I will also try UA-cam later. And I recommend some camera lenses.
I always watch your videos my question is in your opinion if you could vlog with any lens for 6dii which one would it be? Would it make sense to invest in 16-35 f2.8 iii and use the in body stabilization on the 6dii?
Hey Sean, I have 6D2 as well. Quick question do you shoot in JPG or RAW? Also I noticed you have your highlight priority on. Does it matter when turn it on?
I use Highlight Priority because Phillip Bloom recommended it years ago... ua-cam.com/video/BuO7mLo_G0k/v-deo.html Yes... I also shoot in RAW... I also about it toward the end of this video.

Think Media I recently got the canon sl2 I was wondering if you could do more videos on it and how do I get the time lapse to work?
Can you attached an external monitor besides the flip screen and add the rhode mic in the same camera? What attachment i will be needing to make this setup happen? Hopefully you make a tutorial on that setup. Many thanks.
Think Media Sony A7III face to face with the 6dmarkII in a vlog style perspective 🙌
Sean you continually kill it, Hopefully one day I get to meet you.
Id like to see maybe an individual video regarding 4k vs 1080p
I just got the 16-35f4 for my 6D II and it’s absolutely breathtaking. Such a great camera, I’m glad people are starting to appreciate it.
I think there are lot of people who like to throw rocks and pixel peep, and aren't actually out there using the camera. You don't see those people online bitching and complaining lol.
I have been binge watching a lot of your videos on cameras. I have finally saved enough money to get one.
It’s really refreshing and nice to hear someone calling the focus ‘depth of field’
The fact that so many people scrutinize this camera made me think it wasn't a good option to upgrade when entering the full frame world. Nice video. Thank you.
We use a 60D MK1 but this video has changed it all! Time to go and play with it all now!. Thanks.
So stoked to shoot with this camera. This camera seems to really have it all. And not for a dumb price. So many options to work with.
Think Media always has the answers when it comes to film making!!!
Another very informative video. Thank you Sean. Keep up the good work.

Hey! Thanks for the tips! I've had over a million views this week and I have been watching your vids for the past year or so. 😊
Hey Sean, congrats on Canon's sponsorship. Honestly, you're the main reason I have a Canon M6 right now and enjoy shooting videos with it. And also, you're my primary motivator to shoot better videos. Keep it up! 👍🏻
Thanks Erhan - love the M6 - keep crushing it bro! 👊💯

Just got a 6DMKII and this was super helpful! Thanks ... can't wait to get making vlogs and west coast Canada films!!
How funny...I'm checking this out to figure out how to set up my camera, and there I was in the video. That was a surprise. :)
Thanks for these videos. I really feel like they come out exactly as I need them.
Nikon Af tips: put the camera on shutter mode, so the shutter is locked at 1/50th (24fps ofc) and then the camera will set aperture on its own. Set autofocus to wide and not face recognition. But I still reccomend Canon for video, because of dual pixel af.

I actually started filming my UA-cam videos with my Samsung Galaxy S9+ smartphone. 4K 60fps has never looked better.
Nice!

Hi bro, make a video on budget smartphone gimbals too. Thanks.
Awesome video.. Thanks!

I thinking too change my 5Dmiii for canon 6Dmii or sony A7iii for autofocus.
It's difficult choice. They got totally different advantages.
Hey Sean, I have 6D2 as well. Quick question do you shoot in JPG or RAW? Also I noticed you have your highlight priority on. Does it matter when turn it on?
I use Highlight Priority because Phillip Bloom recommended it years ago... ua-cam.com/video/BuO7mLo_G0k/v-deo.html
Yes... I also shoot in RAW... I also about it toward the end of this video.
Is it necessary to have 16-35 mm lense for photoshooting or i can get by with 24-105 mm lens?
