From the description you gave, you may have a stuck injector. That would account for the runny oil that smells like diesel. Hope RK is able to get the repairs done in a timely manner for you.
You’re probably right. They did drop off a loaner tractor for us which was awesome.
@@MaynardFamilyHomestead That was very cool! Few stand behind their equipment like that.
Hope you can get it fixed! 🙏🏻
Thank you! And thanks for watching.
One of the reasons I bought a TYM instead of an RK was that TYM makes RK and is a factory authorized dealer/shop. I don't know if RK will even be in the tractor business in a few years (see RK's Montana tractor series).
Sounds like the head gasket popped. Good luck. I own a 37 as well.
After stewing on this a while, I agree with WR Farms that it's a stuck injector. Hope that's all it is!
I may have missed it but I didn't see what the problem was and how the customer service from RK was.....?
It wasn’t outstanding, I went into more detail on this video: Rk37 update! Is the warranty good on Rural King tractors?

I'm very interested to see what went wrong with that 37 I have that same tractor except mine is hydro and not a shuttle hope it's a simple fix.... I did my own 50 hour on mine no problems and I have 120 hrs on it. And as always god bless and stay safe from the buckeye state..
Me too brother. They said you can do your own service, you just want to keep your receipts for proof.
Man I hate that happened to y’all. I’m praying RK takes care of you. That much hay is a blessing! Great content brother.
Thank you sir!
Sorry to hear the new RK is down and out. I hope they take care of you with this issue. That's got to sting only having 240 hours on it 😔
Thanks. I hope it’s just a fluke problem.
I had a friend purchased a tractor from Rural King several years ago. Biggest piece of junk I’ve ever seen. It was considerably less money than any namebrand, but you get what you pay for.
I have the RK55 and so far the sevice has met my expectations. I hope you have as good of luck with your service. I am interested to see how it turns out
Hopefully it's just a dpf filter stopped up. This is one of the things that hampers new diesel engines now and it causes them to do all kinds of crazy things
I really wish they would leave our farm equipment to be. All of the new emissions garbage is creating more problems than it’s solving.
@@MaynardFamilyHomestead I worked around diesels for 18 years at a state highway department and was around everything from tractors, rollers, trucks, loaders, etc and everyone of them were hampered by this at one point. I agree, it is aggravating and causes a loss of time with downed equipment. Hope you find something out soon
I have this tractor with hydrostatic. The PTO horsepower is 29 and I have been told that bailing hay is too much for this PTO?
It all depends on the baler, I have a pretty small square baler and mine works perfectly. I do know you lose horsepower with a hydrostatic though, so it is possible that it might not be strong enough.
any update
Yep, they tried to tell me there’s nothing wrong with it. I’m thinking one of the injectors stuck open which caused all of that knocking and smoking. It’s a little frustrating not having a definite solution though
Go get you another at rural king it should be easy to get that pos repaired
Get yourself a Kubota
Dose he think this comment is helpful. Or he is just a idiot troll.
Personally i love your fan boy mentality. I also love paying for each arm rest individually along with the mirrors.
