    I just realized who you are. I used to watch your tutorials and stuff like yeeeears ago. I remember watching them when I was in high school and I’m 27 now. It’s so cool to see you’re still making videos.
    It’s funny because I was thinking about your old videos recently and I was like, hmm what was that guys channel name again. Then as I’m watching you I see your driveway and I’m like “holy shit this is him”. Crazy. Keep up the good content my man

    Your foot positioning makes the trick look so much better and more natural compared to how Johnny Giger does them.

      The thing is, Jonny Giger's trick is not really a Plasma Spin. I think what he does es called a Hawkins Twist.

    • @AidenCral
      @AidenCral 6 років тому

      No, it is a Plasma Spin. Unless you want to call the trick in question if in natural foot position a Plasma Spin and if in the weird foot position a Hawkins Twist. It's technically still the same trick. (Btw everybody commented beneath Hawkins video that it's a Plasma Spin and there are much older videos on youtube people calling it that.)

      rodneyM7 Yeah I know, but both trick feel completely different. I would totally consider them a different trick.

    If you were try hard enough it looks like you could do a late kickflip after the sigma spin

    I used to practice skateboarding when I was younger, due to the Tony Hawk games and the X-Games stuff I watched. Never could ollie while moving and rarely landed one when sitting still. Did one kick flip and one heel flip and I think a shove-it. That's it. Never seen videos or tutorials explain how the ollie worked, just had to imagine making the board flip, but I'm over it, therefore letting my front foot kinda off the board before I smash the back foot. Always, and I mean _always,_ went sideways when moving.

    Looking at this, I can't help but think this could conceptually be a FS 180 Backfoot Hospital Flip. Like, basically half flipping it, catching it with your back foot, and then wrapping it forward. Is it just the weird pressure foot position that makes it it's own distinct trick?

  • @DreDay1993

    Is that the flip thats on your intro?

    Seems like one of those tricks that would be easier switch.

    • @andruwhoover3434
      @andruwhoover3434 6 років тому

      Ryan Martin its a lot easier in switch, in my opinion. I skate goofy and my back foot just wont flow like that cuz of muscle memory. But when i do it switch the wrap around comes much more naturally, cuz its like a front foot impossible just backwards if that makes any sense at all
