    Great timing, I needed a pack to combine with the VX30 one for the 'Buy 1 Get 1 Free' promo. In my opinion your IRs are by far the best available these days. Cheers!

    Nice! I have a cab just like it and would love a good quality IR to simulate what I can achieve by miking it. Instant buy!!

    I read „scooped“, I buy. ;-) Should be great for some late 80s / early 90s Death Metal!

    These sound great! One question: do you have any plans to release a Fender cab pack compatible with Helix/HX Stomp? Thanks!

    Hey Mikko! Is there much difference between the T-75 in this pack and the original Boaner pack using the T-75 only? Thanks :)

    But the original speakers are the vented ones from 1984 and 1985, and then changed.
    Here are mine. These are the True V1. If your cab is a 1987, it's got the V2's. The way you can tell is that V1's have a drain looking thing covering a larger hole on the back. They are vented.
    If want the OG MOPS Metallica sh*t and they did indeed use g12t-75's, this is the speaker. Not the V2. ;)
    Your stuff sounds killer anyway though!

      I'll check this - I believe the speakers were OG spec but the cab was from '87 IIRC. Thanks for the info. Great sounding cab nonetheless and extremely scooped.

      @@mlsoundlab the g12t-75's were first put in the 1984 cab and continued into 1985. Then they changed, probably around the same time Marshall dropped from 5 power filter caps to 3. I've been down this path very recently, trying to get another tone.
      Whatever the case, the V2 speakers sound much better than the V3's...or whatever sh*tty version they are on now. Johan Segeborn or whatever his name is has a video comparing the V2 and V3's. The V2 is the sound. V3 is way too scooped and fizzy. So whatever the case, you have a great sounding speaker.

      @@mlsoundlab here is the comparison between V2 and modern. Johan also incorrectly id's the V2 as the original. Most people do, because few know about the vented version because it was so short lived.
      If MOPS used a g12t-75, it was the vented kind. This manufacturer stuff really posses me off. If one thing changes, these bastards should change the model number instead of driving me crazy lol.
      Someone stole a pedal from me once.. I bought a replacement for way too much money but it sounded like sh*t... 10 years later, I come to find out the stupid thing had 3 different circuits in it that sound TOTALLY different from each other 😂.

      Do you know of any IRs of these vented v1s like you have?

    • @XChristianNoirX
      @XChristianNoirX Рік тому

      @@ryanmckinnon6465 I've never seen anyone list that... I'm not sure most people even ever open their cabs to see... Most people think there are probably 2 or 3 versions.. Uk and Chinese, or old UK, new UK, and Chinese. There might even be people who don't know at all.
      I think most producers just have a ton of cabs roll through their studio, hear a good one, and do whatever they can to keep it, but don't know exactly "why" the cab sounds good.
