First band had an old green Yamaha drumkit. Remember that so well. Despite Yamz being red I bought it anyway, and got to re-live those early band days. I mean I ADORE that Grit kit (that thing is serious punk magic) but the Yamz kit can accurately be described as "drums that sound good for your band." Whatever you're playing, I doubt you could get Yamz to sound "wrong."
I agree that the Black Beauty had more low end punch while the Black Magic has a bit more of that powerful transient attack. All of these samples were captured so well. Makes me happy 💖
On your next library can you at the benny greb mini hats and ad some more stacks like you have on the meld. That would be amazing! My go to now on production is the benny greb mini hats and the matt halpern sig stack. They sound fit!
I've been ML Drums and it sounds awesome and more human than other software. Just a quick idea, i think you guys should consider develop ML Bass or ML Acoustic which way more affordable but sounds amazing. Just a suggestion. Tq
what I don’t like about sampled drums is they mess up the dynamics like some round robins are weaker when it really goes against the groove. like a vsti bass with random upstrokes.
Completely depends on how consistant the drummer was sampling. So it varies from vsti to another. Also big part of the humanizing is that you are supposed to get some realistic variance but it shouldn't be too obvious unless you have super fast drumming.
I absolutely love ML Drums ! This is my go to library for drums
My Favourite feature is having the different tunings actually recorded for the snares

The M-Custom 14"x5.5" at 290hz is my idea of a perfect snare. These are so well sampled.
Thank you!!! We think so too. 🥰
hey i just bought yamz and meld a few days ago, loving it! are you planning on doing a tama drums expansion? lars ulrich signature sounds maybe?
Essentials is based on Tama! But I think we might have something Tama-based on the to-do list as well. 😊
hey guys! ive been using ML drums for so long and i love it! wanted to ask if you are down for a collab?
I just picked up Yamz and this preset is bad ass. Thank you!
Glad you're digging it!

@@mlsoundlab have all the libraries but no idea how to load this preset file
Instructions are all in the description, but let us know if you have any trouble loading it 🙏

Btw, why does the A-Noobie hihat look bigger than the rest of the 14" hats, even though it's supposed to be 14" too?
Must be an optical illusion 😢 We'll look into it. 😂

Love the snare selects on yams. The only shame is there isn't samples with the snares turned off, that would have been cool af
Thank you for the suggestion! 🙏

Why are there no numbers to create a drum map. There is only the key letters and that is difficult to use to drum map.

Would appreciate the mixed preset too
The preset below has the final mixing on it already! That process was long and will be the next video. 😉
SD3+pop punk expansion ✌️
So the answer isn't throw a distressor on it and call it a day? 😜
Don't tune the drums, don't fine tune mic positions - boys... we have a distressor!! 😂
