Chill. I love these sit-down interviews on different locations. Most interviewers put people in small, claustrophobic, inndoor offices.

Yea me too. The lighting system they are using on this version of Anvil Next engine is SUPER advance for these new gen consoles and I'm glad they focused quite a bit on this and material textures, physical based renderings as these elements combined makes this version of Anvil Next really pop out and contribute greatly to that "feel" of dark, bloody yet haunting smoky beautiful French Revolution. Its clear the art direction did fantastic job here and really understood the "feel" of the era. Kinda bummed PS4 version getting gimped in a minor way due to weaker Xbone but not as bummed as others are on this. Although I do hope for a post launch patch on PS4 to make it native 1080p as it can easily be pushed to that on PS4. Finally 30fps is a realistic expectation though for this game due to the advanced lighting, textures ane most importantly reactive A.i. Also this game art direction and setting is more suited for a 30fps solid lock for that feel.
This game is b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l. Yes, even at 900p. There is a lot more to visuals than the resolution. Take for instance, Shadow of Mordor. It is 1080p and you can bet your ass that this game will look better.
In motion our eyes can tell the difference between 900p and 1080p. So if the scenery is beautiful ,in which the historical building models and lighting are, it will look better ot just as good as 1080.
You're right, it is beautiful, but the comparison (which is becoming quite prevalent, for obvious reasons) does a disservice to both games. The visuals are in service to the plots and art direction of the respective franchises; saying one looks better than the other just creates inflammatory debate. The irony is, the only reason these comparisons are happening is because Shadow of Mordor turned out to be a great game, and didn't fall by the wayside and get forgotten like so many others before it -- so, let's see how they stack up in the gameplay department. For my money (as a fan of the AC series), Unity has a lot to prove beyond the graphical fidelity of the engine.
I doubt that it will play better though. And Shadow of Mordor has dark and nasty locations by design and still manages to look fantastic.

You know what? I agree. I have had a great time with SoM, as I will with Unity. I only draw the comparison here for the sake of resolution. I'm trying to illustrate for all of the people up in arms about this being 900p that a game at a lower resolution than 1080p can come away looking better. My point was that there is more to graphics than the resolution and nothing more.
anongrey In that respect, I totally agree. And from what I've been seeing from Unity so far, there is no doubt that it's going to wow us visually. I definitely can't wait to get it in my hands.

Everyone settle down and remember, if your a console owner the human eye cannot see beyond 30 frames per second.
Whilst if your a PC gamer 30FPS is unplayable (even though many games prior to the HD consoles ran on below 30FPS exclusively) because human eyes have since been globally exposed to zombie radiation.
Real talk now, yelling at a bunch of people whom bought a different 400$ piece of plastic than you instead of the company whom is creating the problem in the first place is counterintuitive and wont solve your problem. Also bitching in a Rev3 games comments section also wont solve your problem, as the only Ubi employee likely to look at this would be the interviewee if he trying to see how he did in the interview.
However, a more direct approach by simply telling them this sucks in their forums, twitter, ect. is FAR more likely to get a response from the actual company.
its a bit more complicated than that,,,,the human eye does not work as camera, and yes you can see more than 30fps, but as i said, its more complicated than that...you should check out linus tech tips, he explains this in a video of his, i dont remember the name
I'm pretty sure the PC version will be at 1080p and at least 60fps ;)

The human eye is NOT a camera, I repeat is NOT a camera. The resolution you see is solely dependent on how each individuals brain reacts to visuals. To the human brain there is no such thing as a 'frame' so don't start a console vs. ÷ human camera theory lol.
This game looks amazing, but I want them to cut the post-renaissance setting. Go back to the times when Templars and Assassins were in an all out war. Go back to the Era of Altair, when the Byzantine Empire controlled the world, and the Crusades were kicking up. There are so many settings during that period that could world so well. The spanish reconquista, the muslim expansions, and even moving into asia for the vastly different style of assassinations they have over there. They are getting to into the eras where assassinations were starting to decline in prominence.
Or stop making asscreed and give us something new. I hate assassins creed. I only watch these vids to maybe see something that would change my mind but all I see it recycled shit

I really don't like what happened to rev3 now that Adams gone. It feels like nothing they do benefits me as a consumer anymore. Feels more like a place to watch people goof off while casually touching upon relevant games. Now I won't lie, I don't really check their website so their could be more content on their, but as far as relying on opinions from rev3 in order to make informed purchasing decisions... Those days seem to be gone. At least on their youtube channel.

Make a couple more assassins creed, spin off to a series called Warriors creed so it can be the action game it wants to be. Let the actual Assassins creed series focus on the stealth properly for the first time. Warriors creed has a character who is permanently stuck in the animus so he has to go through all the generations of his ancestors or whatever. Set the first game in Ancient Greece or Rome, you cameo at all of the famous battles gaining experience and levelling up and gradually commanding more troops, add strategy theme later on with commanding total war style to give the game longevity and replayability, end the game with the character discovering that he's altering history. After that point assassins come after you in a watchdogs esc stalking with real players entering your game moving after you on the battlefield or in your preparation camp where you upgrade and visit troops prior to fighting to raise moral, giving assassins time to strike and prepare. After the story is complete multiplayer opens up with 12 on 12. Each player has a certain number or type of soldiers with a commander playing like a total war game with the on field players responsible for enacting the maneurvers. Cycle the game in a similar way to Treyarch and infinity ward to give extra time to developers of the separate series. Work your way through eras. Have crossover events blah blah blah assassins creed story is a mess anyway so wouldn't be hard to make up some stuff.
Have a glorious return to sailing a couple games down the line with Warriors creed: Viking blood, set in Saxon Britain you have to grow your home in Scandinavia and feed your people.

The exagerated details on things make it look real nice. Looking forward to this but I hope they take some time before releasing another. AC games do it better than others with new locations everytime etc but when you make a new game every year the formula can get stale. Also you need time to make significant improvemtns, this is why I love Elder Scrolls series.

Olala, I want to kill a templar with a baguette and eat croissants in this game.
Most of you really don't seem to get it. We are not mad at Ubisoft because they made the PS4 version look like the Xbox One version although they could have easily increased the resolution. We are mad because Ubisoft used a cheap and pathetic reason to justify their actions and when it backfired (like everyone except Ubisoft must have seen coming) they come out and literally lied to everyone about gimping the PS4 version and contradicted their old statement. And PC doesn't "win" either. Regardless of what Ubisoft promises you to calm you down, you will get a shitty port as always with "exclusive" Nvidia features noone really needs. The way I see it, everyone looses here because Ubisoft is lazy and greedy, working on 4 AC games simultaniously instead of polishing the one that is important.

I did not get destiny for the same reason they were lazy and did not want to put the graphics to the best for each system and unless they patch that I will never buy destiny and at one point I had that game pre-ordered

SquareOne Many fans of AC said that Black Flag is different and doesnt have much Assassins Creed Content..!! So i believe that thats the reason they made Unity like the old ACs!! All i was hearing was that Black Flag is a Pirate Game not an AC..!! That was the voice of the majority so i think we have to blame them..I also liked Black Flag for its uniqueness!! It was something different! Something out of the ordinary! An assassin not for the cause but for the money..actually more human..! Because people in the past,so as now, were greedy and they wanted wealth and andenture not being dedicated to one cause..!
