I don’t have a Polaris with this style rack, but for those who do, this is gold! The rack installation you did is top notch and genius! Awesome job buddy!
Watched your video and mounted mine the same way. I lined up the back first, squared it up and mounted those loosey (3/4 were the perfect length) . Then I turned the rest of the mounts with the bolts in upside down so the bolts are sticking up just a little bit. A dab of paint on each and marked the underside of the box. Drilled the holes and they lined up perfectly. Thanks for the info
For sure, not sure how to include a pic with this comment, the rack on the outlander has a couple of places to attach to at the front but nothing near the rear part of the rack.
The mirror is a Kolpin atv rear view mirror. I don’t remember for sure where I got it, but it’s part number 97200. It just barely fits the bar on the front rack. It’s an ok mirror, but seems like I have to readjust it before every ride.
Ok thank you. As another way to mount the box as a recommendation you could shove a piece of sidewalk chalk in the holes on the rack and then move the box on top of the chalk to make a trace where to drill. Just thought I would tell you. Thanks
Thank you so much for this video. I called to see how much it cost they said around 299. What did you pay for yours? So if I look those up on eBay they're called Pro Grips? This seems like a big and bulky box but plenty enough storage for just about anything. I need one or two of these for my 2015 Polaris Sportsman etxs.
I got the truck from Rockymountainatvmc.com and the list price is $224.99 US, and I think I paid about $240 after tax with free shipping. It’s the Kimpex Nomad trunk. The anchors are called Grip PRO ( sorry I call keep calling them pro grip) and I paid around $18 for a six pack, got them on eBay. The box is a little big, but I am liking it.
Ok so going to eBay and searching “grip PRO” doesn’t show the expansion plugs that you used. What needs to be added in the search besides JUST “grip PRO” to find the product you used?
I don’t remember their racks exactly, but I think they had tubular steel frame around a plastic middle. So I think you would be able to use the u-bolts that come with the Kimpex trunk. It would cover up the factory Can Am storage box, but I think the Kimpex trunk has enough room to make up for it.
Hi, when you drilled through the cargo box did you a drill a 1" hole thru box for the grip pros or did you dissemble the grip pro and just drill the diameter of the bolt and then reassemble the grip pro on both side of box/integrated with box. Also have you had any trouble with the grip pros wearing out or the box coming off accidentally
I disassembled the grip pros and drilled holes the size of the center bolts. Then reassembled through the box with a large flat washer inside. Seems to be very secure. I haul it on an open trailer at freeway speeds and the box has never come lose. I’d recommend removing the bottom seat cushion before hauling, it’s just velcroed on.
@@unclesam8010 thank you very helpful. I am in the process of putting the nomad plus on '19 sportsman 570 the same way as yours using 2" aluminum angle and the grip pros with the star handle knob. Saw some bad reviews of the Polaris brand anchors failing and wearing out. I'm liking the grip pros a lot better
I suggest doing the rear first...then put the bolts upside down in the holes, a little paint and set it down with the rear mounted. Easy way to make sure they are all lined up
Sorry not to get back to you sooner, but I end up taking the rear rack off the quad and setting it upside down on the box to line it up. Then drilling the holes. Wasn’t to bad doing it that way.
It is a “universal” trunk so it should work on most ATVs that have a rear rack, although it is a large trunk and might on the big side for a quad like a trailblazer.
What sux about atv Accessories is that they can not make direct bolt ons. You always have to mess around with it to make it work and buy or make custom parts
This is one of the best Kimpex Nomad review/install videos on a Sportsman that I have seen. Very well done. Thank you for sharing.

What would you recommend for a honda foreman with the bar rack? Single grandmother very handy. I think I have an idea just looking for suggestions

That is awesome. Just what I was looking for. I bought Sportsman 570 and will be doing this within the next month as my 4 year wants to ride with us.
Super informative! Thank you!
have the same box and same quad. was able to install it with the hard wear it came with but it will not come off haha. it is a great box

It is possible to lock the trunk?
Were these the 1" Amazon lock and ride anchors you used?
Hi uncle Sam, I was just wondering where you got the extra front mirror from.
Nathan

Found them...Grip Pro ATV anchors.
Any chance I could get your input on how to attach this trunk to a 2018 can am outlander 450?

Whats the mileage/hours now? And problems with the ATV?
Does the seat come with it? I’d assume so but want to make sure before ordering?
Thx
Yes the seat does come with it. The back rest bolts to the box and the bottom pad just velcro’s In place.

What size bolts are those?
They’re 5/16 by 1 & 1/2 (I think). The I-bolts I replaced (with regular bolts) need a thick washer on top so they don’t rub the fender under the rack.
how easy was this to square up

i have a 2000 trailblazer would this trunk and seat fit do you know??

Oops never mind...found them Grip Pro ATV anchors.
