Amazing transition to glide without stall!
That's so different from my norm, and I wanted to say, thanks for sharing this,I appreciate it,it's so relaxing to watch...
It’s a clinic on simple beauty.
Thank you...
Awesome change of pace. Thanks for sharing...
Amazing throws considering the weight of just 52 grams. Nice video.
Only advantage I can see to a TLG over the way we launched HLGs (back in the day) is that it keeps you from "rotator cuff injuries" (which is why I can't throw HLGs any more). Just don't seem to be able to get the altitude of a regular HLG launch. A mediocre HLG flight for me was about 30 seconds. A decent one pushed a minute. I also had many that had to be chased downwind with over 3 min. in the air. Also enjoyed Indoor HLGs in the right venue (the old Cleveland Auditorium with its 85 ft. Ceiling!). You can have a lot of fun with HLGs, but you really need a good arm. I still have a few of my old HLGs left, but I bet I couldn't throw them up more than 25-30 feet these days. Nice to see the HLG variety here .. brings back memories. Cheers.
These appear to be pretty gentle tosses, not the full wind up launch. I don't know how comparable RC hand launched gliders are to free flight, but DLGs (discus launched gliders) get much higher launch heights than JLGs (javelin launched gliders). Some pros can reach 300 feet with launch. I'm guessing 50-60 feet about max for JLG. I've achieved 100 feet easily with my 1 m DLG, confirmed with an altimeter.
One thermal away from eternity.
Amazing flight 👏
HLG is definitely a young man's sport.
A man and his glider . . .beautifull
This one's flying great! You should check out my DLG/TLG videos.
I never knew
We used go to the five and dime store to get all balsa gliders for a nickel each.
Yes, I'm a boomer.
@@richarddarlington1139 I was born in 65 so my gliders were a little more. Most of my friends are boomers so no worries there.

I was born in '53 so, I have a few years on you (okay, more than a few).
I watched your video on your basement tour, left a short comment.
Sorry if I'm being too nosy.
Coincidentally, as a teen-ager, the Norton 850 Commando was my
dream bike.
Alas, it remained a dream, never to be realized.
P.S. "What, me worry?" Not a chance!
Did I miss the name of the smaller plane?

Looks like it needs some nose weight.
I was thinking the same thing. A tiiiiiny bit of nose weight.
