It cracks me up that this is what my TS decided on - I think it stemmed from "eek" for me, because I'm most likely to spout a burst of "yeet"s when I'm particularly and suddenly startled about something (like someone drops a pan behind me, for example). And then all of a sudden people are saying it around me and I'm biting my tongue not to start ticcing it like mad, LOL!
I want to thank you for your videos. It’s helped me deal with the emotional guilt part I guess. I have four children ages 17,12,11,and 8. My 17 and 8 year old already diagnosed with Tourette’s. Then my 12 year old, I feel woke up one day with motor tic attacks. She was diagnosed with complex motor tics. I was in complete denial and kind of argued with neurologist. By the way I have no trust in doctors at all. Now she starting vocal tics so we might be looking a Tourette’s in the future. As for my 11 year old she has a history of complex motor tics. So now I just feel like I am just waiting for her to wake up one day like my 12 year old. I get really down and feel guilty over my genes. By the way Tourette’s doesn’t run in our family, but I have ADHD, maybe dyslexia and sensory processing. I don’t know. Your positive attitude towards your Tourette’s and on life has given me a new way to look at things. Your positivity has given me strength and hope to help guide my children down the right path. Thank you.
So sorry for the slow reply. Thank you so much for your comment. You have no idea what it means to me! When I first started my channel it was just because I needed an outlet to express my frustration, confusion, and stress over what was going on with my body (it took me a few years to figure out I had TS). I also most likely have ADHD, and absolutely for sure have sensory processing disorder. I recently discovered I may also be autistic, which really threw me for a loop! I hope your children are all doing well, I know waking up with a storm of new/different tics can be overwhelming. The best advice I have is to just take it one day at a time. I'm sure having that many ticcers in the house also makes it more complicated, as I'm sure they feed off each other at times. Please feel free to reach out any time!
hi! thank you for sharing :D i'm a new subbie of yours and i hope this season gets better for you :) I don't know if you mentioned OCD before or in any of your other vids, but the whistle 4x tic sounds like OCD. the fact that you must do it 4 times and if you don't do it right you have to start over again. I don't know if you have OCD or not. From what I've learned, a lot of people with Tourette's also have OCD. ok, im gonna hush now. lol Thanks again for sharing and God bless!
Hi! I definitely do have some OC tendencies, but I think I do not have full-fledged OCD. I think probably I have what, in just the last few decades, has been related as "Tourettic OCD." (Here's an article with a little bit about it: iocdf.org/expert-opinions/ocd-and-tourette-syndrome/ ) - I absolutely identify with the "evening up" thing, counting, repeating things a set number of times, and sometimes touching things, but I don't have a sense of anxiety or fear that something bad will happen if I don't do it. I have the premonitory urge feeling (something many Touretters experience but which varies as far as expression - mine feels somewhat like when you have a stomach bug coming on, and ticcing relieves some of that "pressure") when I do OC type things, but not anxiety, and that distinction seems to be one of the predominant characteristics defining Tourettic OCD. Just my theory though!
Hey, don't feel bad about not being able to make videos, but it's good to see you back! I know a lot's gotta be stressful, but I look forward to seeing what you'll do next 😊.
What a complicated thing the human brain is. Anyway, nice to see you back! I hope things get better. As for the hand gestures, you might try wrapping an elastic band around your fingers, so other drivers would think you're just waving. Cheers!
I like how you think! Where I'm from, people commonly wave at anyone who might be a neighbor or fellow country folk - and your "neighbor" could be the person who lives next door or it could be a "country neighbor" who actually lives like five miles away, but you don't have to go into town to get to their house, so they count as a neighbor, LOL! The only problem is I think the tic is relieved by the muscle tension that comes from splitting the fingers that way. It just figures that it has to mean a bad thing :-P
I've always wondered about a mute mask, like a little device that people with tourette's could cover their mouths with during tics and it would mute the outburst, I believe it would still satisfy the person and mute the words at the same time... you know for people who are in college or any class setting
"Yeet" is also an exclamation of excitement and all-around energy. 😛

Hello melody, I have the sames tics as you, are perdón that I admire the most
Aww, I'm sorry you experience a similar thing, but it is also comforting at the same time to meet someone else who really "gets" it
Hi. How are your tics in 2024?
Handjob gestures
Watching you set me off. Not cool! Hahahaha!!!
LOL, oh no! I hate that!
I love copying your tics
