Did he just put a compass in a globe and expect it to magically connect to that globe and point to the north? Of that model globe? Did i get that right?
Tte. Damian He figures it shouldn’t work unless you point it directly at the North Magnetic Pole, at the surface of the earth. In Florida, that would mean you’d be pointing it north, but also down a bit, since there’s a bulge of the earth between the pole and Florida. He’s saying if you point it north but also parallel to the ground in Florida, it’s really not pointing at the pole but out into space.
Holy crap that guy actually calls himself "That Guy" Anyone calling themselves "that guy" clearly doesn't know what "that guy" means, or is proud of being horrible.
“That’s why you don’t troll that guy.” If you tell him where he’s wrong, he identifies you as a troll and deletes your comment and blocks you. Problem solved.
That seems to be very common among flat earthers. It's not even saying they are wrong, it's proving they are wrong in a way they ALL can plainly see. I know that's what you meant, but context is also important.
Actually, that is a real issue: how does a compass point to magnetic north nearer the poles, when the magnetic force lines are closer to vertical? The answer, of course, is that compasses are made for different latitudes, and are made differently depending on the vertical angle of the force lines. Which, of course, a flatearther wouldn't be able to grasp.
Probably that no one ever seen the edge of earth. And that you can fly from the us to Japan even over Pacific Ocean or Europe. It’s just to clear to be not, to me :D So because there is not even a single hint that could lead to the fact that the earth is flat lol

Compasses actually point "north" because they're being pulled toward the only portal into space from the inside of the inside out hollow (but still spherical) earth.
Brown Water I don’t think he understands what declination is for. He has a problem with Magnetic North and True North. Magnetic North (where compasses point) is currently moving towards Siberia at a rate of about 33 miles (50 km) per year. I would love to see his "demonstration" using a flat model. Hold the moon in a position that only Florida can see it, but not China. How does the moon move around the flat model? If the earth is flat and the universe does have a particular orientation, what keeps the moon from falling out of the sky towards the ground? What keeps the earth from "falling down out of space"? Turtles all the way down, baby!!!
You forgot the facepalm warning at the beginning, almost broke my nose again at the last part. At least he has the shape of the earth correct 😂😂 have to give him that!!
That's not what he was trying to do. He was using it as an example for the idea that a compass can't truly point north. He explains that if curvature exists the line extending from the needle would actually go out into space and not directly north. Therefore for a compass to work, the earth must be flat. Clearly he doesn't know much about physics or science in general, but that was the undeducated point he was attempting to make, not that he expected the globe to make his needle turn. Actually, that is a real issue: how does a compass point to magnetic north nearer the poles, when the magnetic force lines are closer to vertical? The answer, of course, is that compasses are made for different latitudes, and are made differently depending on the vertical angle of the force lines. @@daveh9521 nah he's just a kid himself.
Bob: "The dunning-kruger is strong in That Guy."
Jeran: "He is the chosen one!"
He's talking about scale. Think he needs a bigger light bulb 😂
His bulb is a bit dim, of course.
I'm working on making a scale model of the Earth / moon orbit system to put along the public sidewalk in front of my house, with the Earth being 12 inches in diameter. The numbers are staggering!
At this scale the sun would be 110 feet in diameter and 2.2 miles away. And at its furthest point in its orbit, Pluto would be about the size of a tangerine placed 112 miles away. Roughly the distance from Los Angeles to San Diego.
To paraphrase Chief Brody in Jaws, "He needs a bigger bulb."
@@beteljooz6180 Right. Since no 110 foot light bulbs are commercially available., I suggest the solution is to use a smaller earth and moon, not a bigger bulb.
So in his model, the earth is closer to the sun than Mercury, and the sun is about the same size as the moon, but his demonstration is proof. Well done!
Or a bigger brain…
The fact flat earthers use the term "globe tards" is such glorious irony.
Mr Sciman pumping out the videos, Christmas came early.
"Maybe a little over here" 😟😩😂 Watching these flat earthers do "Research" is complete comedy porn.
People think that research means watching youtube videos by people with no college education. They are surprised when I say "I read it in a text book Which texts did you read? How many college classes on this did you take?" None.
@@daveb5041 Well duh, those are just vehicles for _indoctrination_
SciManDan: The most arrogant flat earther...
Me: The *most?* That's a pretty big-
SciManDan: That Guy.
Me: Ah, that adds up.
How dare he wield the “That Guy” name. He disgraces all of us with such ridiculousness and absolute idiocy
