I love how in a dark future where fuel is more precious than gold they built the most fuel inefficient vehicles possible.
Let's waste hundreds of gallons of gas chasing down this one dude so we can steal his 3 remaining gallons.
Do you genuinely think these insane people are considering building ecoboost engines
Could be that they actually have a lot of fuel, almost all that was left of it, and made it scarce by passing a very strict monopoly on it to control people.
I like to think the film “The Rover” is in the same Mad Max universe and happens right after the collapse-maybe in the first few years.
In the span of a two hour movie, Nux had one of the greatest character arc/redemptions of all time, just like GoW's Kratos, who also went to Valhalla!
Fury road is one of my fav movies but I think Nux was more of a pragmatist, he only changed sides once he looked like a doofus in front of Immortan Joe and a hot girl was nice to him
I don't think it was about pragmatism. That poor kid had never really been treated with any kind of kindness or warmth. He was taught to live and die in the name an abusive , evil cult leader. He was shown kindness at his lowest point. That it was by a pretty girl helped a lot, but the rest of the team accepted him, and showed him respect that he didn't really see much, despite being really a solid mechanic with a lot of useful skills.
That means a lot.
@@wyvern723Yeah good points
The first Mad Max is still one of my favorite movies of all time, such a great film. Also the like 5 dollar game that came out is 2016 is legit awesome
What do you mean post-apocalyptic? Mad Max is a documentary of contemporary Australia.
True 😂😂😂
specifically, when they run out of beer...
I’m just happy they got the camera shots on the first movie.
We live, we die, we live again! WITNESS ME!!!!!!!

Long Live Mad Max!

Take a drink every time he says “high octane”.
How many drinks?
The night rider…. remember him when you look at the night sky.
One of my favorite movies of all times
You get the true human Experience.
And humanity in these movies.
Great storytelling
Fury Road is one of my favorite movies. There's no dead weight, just a lean, gorgeous movie, wonderfully acted.
Simple plot, great characters and character development, a “Show, don’t tell!” Mindset. Despite it being just a car chase it is one that keeps you on the edge of your seat!
Fantastic work Niyat, that was awesome 👏
Have a great day mate
I love that you made this around the same time as I was trying to find this movie to watch it
The Road Warrior is a masterpiece.
Rule of thumb: don't name a ship unsinkable and don't name a person immortal
Another classic review. Niyat would CRUSH a breakdown of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.
This video essay RUULLLLEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!
While I don't agree with your opinion of Furiosa, I can't help but appreciate the two hours of stellar commentary about a franchise I sincerely love. Damn good work.
The bullet farmer was awesome
the Road Warrior is the best in the series.
that it is. just watched it again a few days ago.
@@jscotthatcher380
still a classic...
Fallout took so much from the character of max
@@tonywebb1403
Indeed.
as well as from a Man and his dog movie.
Fun fact until the Blaire Witch Project Mad Max held the record for the lowest budge on a movie that saw wide distribution.
Excellent job mate 👌
I’m only half way through and wow. Masterpiece of an analysis. And editing. Thank you for all the hard work.
Great video. I grew up watching the original Mad Max movies and really enjoyed you stringing them together.
When I first saw most of these movies in the 80’s it made me sad. Especially when his wife and kids, Blaster, and the warrior woman died.
you always have great videos. but you really out did yourself on this one. thank you
You did a fantastic job, here.
Fury Road is a movie I find myself watching all the time.
Have you seen HOPE AND GLORY - A Mad Max Fan Film? It bridges the gap between Thunderdome and Fury Road, features real stunts, real cars, its score is recorded with a real orchestra and most importantly, it has heart.
It's amazing. Better than thunderdome and mad max 1
2 hour 17 min video from film comics explained?? Erm, yes please 😁🤙
I feel like the story of Furiosa would have been better told over 2 much more fleshed out films as opposed to the single film.
Or it's own movie in a different state of Australia.
I mean, most people don't know how massive and empty Australia is.
Or if it was a different franchise
@ericalbers4867 yeah agree 👍🏻.
I didn't like furry road or
(tampacks furiosa)
@@devriestown You want a sausage party Mad Max i have a video movie on my channel
Fantastic video mate can you do Eclipso,Brainiac,Mr Mxyztplk,Etrigan,The Spectre,Deadman, zatanna,Ragman,Swamp thing,Lobo,Solomon Grundy,Darkseid,Phantom Stranger and Old and New Gods From DC
I needed this. Thank you. ❤
I just realized technically you could make a Mad Max X Planet of the Apes crossover and it wouldn't ruin the lore.
Mad Max takes place in Australia and all the POA films take place in North America, there are no apes in Australia and it looks pretty clear any that were meant to be there had died meaning the Simian Flu would never reach there.
Basically you could have the plot be like this:
Max and a group of settlers decide to leave the land and travel across the ocean which would lead to a warlord and his men to follow them, eventually they land where Caesar's Ape Colony was, only it's led by Cornelious
_
I just realized you just genuinely don’t understand how lore and storytelling works.
This is why I 100% ignore anything that falls under “head canon” or “fan fiction “.
“Darth Jar Jar” is a shit idea, and yours is on the same, or lesser level of it.
You literally just ignored everything involving the original story to excuse your idea of what you want to see.
As innocent as it is, I’ll probably be the only/first one to tell you it’s B.S.
Please stop with this bullshit. It’s a modern phenomenon of modern consumers thinking they can do better than the original, and places like Reddit and Tumblr convincing you that your sub-par ideas and writing have a valid place in the storytelling started by the original person that came up with, and executed the idea.
Hahah. You a monkey
@@Metalalbumreviewers you forgot to point out the idiocy of "there are no apes in Australia" where he is too stupid to realize there are no apes in north or south America as well
@@Metalalbumreviewersbro it's a UA-cam comment and you trashed it like you paid money to read it. Why are you trying so hard to hurt someone you don't know for having a little fun?
best performance by Thor by far!!! AWARD WINNING!!
43:00 that part is so right, how many of you still remember the sound of the bad guy pod racer from phantom menace?
Best video yet on this channel!!!!!!!!!!
The CGI in Furiosa is so obvious compared to the practical effects of the others that it really detracts from its place in the series.
I want a Dementis origin story more then anything.
Great work
Hughes Keyes hisses as toe cutter and Joe just before each character dies.
Goddamn Fury Road is my absolute favorite. Just everything about it especially the incredible score and action it still gives me chills every time I watch and even just listen to the soundtrack.
Right off the bat, warning kid crossing 🚸
Loved that tag team from Mad Max 2, made Demolition look like air hostesses.
The Mad Max universe is both brutal and unforgiving
Nobody wanted a furiosa movie, early imortan joe sure but we absolutely wanted a mad max movie. Not a side quest using the mad max name to sell tickets and drive enthusiasm.
For the first Mad Max, why do they need witnesses at a trial if martial law has been declared? A single authority could pass judgement and the sentence should be death.
Who would I want to see a Furiosa prequal? I know how her story ends... tell what happens *next* in the story, not before.
Furiosa was dope af
NAH MATE SHE WAS DROIVIN IM TOO DRUNK
Straight away, poor doggy 🐕
I thought the character Goose was actually named Gosling...like a baby goose chick which is why they call him Goose. The police dispatch calls him Gosling when he's eating at the fuel stop during the opening chase.
“Gosling 1” is his unit/vehicle designation. Just like “Big Boppa” and “March Hare”. Max’s yellow interceptor doesn’t seem to have a designation as far as I know.
Dem shaders on the cop 😎

Mad Max 1 and 2 have a sense of real danger. You can see the heat coming off the engines. Practical effects and real stunts. Cgi can not capture the danger of real speed in a real car and real crashes.
Gotta love Mad Melvin Gibson
Mad Max 2. I'll say no more. 😎
@11:14 and that was the inspiration for the saw movies
🤓🤓 to me this is more interesting than watching the actual movies
The wastland looks like sa Francisco now
It's like poetry sort of, they rhyme
Shiny and chrome!
Can you make a timeline lore video if the lore and timeline is specifically that all of the movies are stories and not cohesive or true.
Where is everyone getting these microphones from. I think someone in every film has one but maybe the first, I might be wrong

Oh my god, Charlize Theron with that short hair... ❤😢❤😢❤😢❤😢❤😢 fucking gorgeous and sexy!!
Funny how your commentary on Furiousa seemed completely detached from the interview clips you spliced in throughout. Your expectation of "fleshed out" relationships and backstories expects the movie to be something its not trying to be. Mad Max movies have always been about *just enough* and for me personally, Furiousa actually did too much and should have done less. Following your commentary around the economics of dialogue and script for 2 hours, it felt strange to hear you switch gears so much. I hope as you revisit the movie, you come to appreciate its demands! Furiousa could have been a bit shorter but to me, it was fairly successful at doing what it set out to do.
And now we have... whatever the hell these last two movies are supposed to be. Hollywood with zero ideas just deciding to milk every cow from our childhoods as much as possible. People use to have pride in the stiff their name and face was attached to. Their life work.
Best to ignore the Furiosa movie. It makes Thunderdome look magnificent.
Of course the furiosa movie is crap. It was not made for mad max fans, it was made for "modern audiences". In other words, for nobody who actually wants to watch it.
It was a TRASH 🗑 CGI crap story .
Furiosa is terrible because they do what they always do in recent years. They throw away the main male character of a franchise and replace him with a strong female character. It never works and it always gets bad reception especially from the hardcore fans. I'm so sick of Hollywood doing this.
I’m sick of comments like yours.
@@zeafreethinker I'm sick of movies being garbage. How do you make a Mad Max movie without Mad Max and expect it to be good? Why couldn't they have expanded on the first movie? Max and Furiosa had a great dynamic together. Why didn't they make them fall in love or something?
Furiosa is still 🗑 and we start to see where he starts to adopt the woke messaging in his story telling. Literally admits to taking breaks while shooting to have material to shoot.
I am smoking that Afin like my name is Mobeen.
