Love your clear and concise videos. I wish smart tracking could be set up on a scheduled basis like "on" at night during a specific time frame, and off during the day.
you could set the event to only work in hours needed like the line cross / intrusion , and that linkage action of tracking would only then work during those times 😊
@@DVSLTD Shortly after I posted that question I saw Arming Schedule" inside of Smart Event > Intrusion Detection > Arming schedule... Solved it!!!! .🤣🤣

Really excited about the new 8 inch PTZ cameras with smart tracking 3.0 functionality. A little disappointed to hear that the patrol still overrides the smart tracking event, but hopefully there will be a function to enable that in the future. Is there a possibility to schedule a camera reboot from the ANPR into the Smart Tracking functionality by itself at a specific time or at certain days of the week? Another question I have is what the (T2) in the product name stands for as Hikvision currently has the DS-2DF9C435IHS-DLW(T2) and the DS-2DF9C435IH-DLW listed. The later one has the badge NEW but I couldn’t find any differences in the specification sheets. Really appreciate you making these videos!
Thanks this is really good feedback , the T2 refers to the hardware revision which is the latest one, and I hope we can have an override function also , regards the ANPR function if you set the VCA as this it is fixed until function changed, looking to see if we can improve this moving forward
@@DVSLTD Thanks for your reply! I just realised the two model numbers have another difference ...IHS-DLW and ...IH-DLW. I’m pretty sure that the W refers to the wiper function. Do you know what the ...IHS-DL... stands for? Looking forward to the next part of this PTZ series. And I wish you a quick recovery with your back!
@@Thealiw1 Thank you for your kind words, yes the W is the wiper function correct, will find out about the D as its changed on new naming rule
Has the smart tracking issue been fixed yet? I have just purchased a 8mp colorvu ptz, but if the person it is tracking stands still for just a second the camera goes to it’s parked position. Even though I have tracking and park set to 300 seconds. 🤷🏻👍🏻
In relation to your comment on will whether the smart tracking would still work if the ptz was on a patrol.
Senario : you’ve a self storage yard, with electric gate access. You have a cctv pole with a ptz and a static. The static camera is looking at the electric gate. The ptz is set at it a home position looking at the yard space, and the park action is set to after 30 seconds return to preset 1. The static gate camera has a vca line cross so when the gate starts open it will trigger the ptz to go to the gate preset 2. Because it has a park action will the smart tracking still work?
the smart tracking will work up to the park action time or scheduled event or alarm input trigger as they are higher priority than smart tracking 😊

Does the DS-2DE7A432IW-AEB(T5) have the Smart Tracking feature as well? I cant seem to find any information on this.

I'm trying to enable Smart Tracking on my DS-2DE7A432IW-AEB while panorama scan is enabled, however, the usual way of enabling Smart Tracking on intrusion detection does not work (it works on a preset). Is there any way to make the PTZ camera track a human when seen in panorama scan mode? Thanks!

HI i'm try to figure out how to set my DS-2DE5432IW-AE (FW V5.5.820 build 220525) in order to zoom automatically when a movement happen. I've followed your guide, but it's doesn't work. May the model or SW version of this camera is bugged? Any advice/trick/particular setup ? . Thanks
How do I configure a PTZ camera to auto rotate at intervals of 2 minutes on my DVR?
assuming you have a Turbo PTZ connected to the DVR , have you set the pre-sets or you need to know the whole steps?

Great videos on these systems. I don't have the option to select smart tracking under ptz tab on the left. My camera is DS-2DE3A400BW-DE on firmware V5.5.26 build 200713 / B-R-G3-0. Would you know what I'm doing incorrect.
Also, under VCA Resource I have only two tabs not like yours? Here, I have face capture and smart tracking which it is currently set in.

Do you know what would cause a camera not to connect with a status of abnormal network connection? During a power outage a friend of mine cameras went down for several days and now it's back online can't see his cameras live. The IR lights are on at night so they are getting power. Any help would be app.
its probably the IP address has changed after the reboot, are you using HIK-Connect or another method?
@@DVSLTD using the basic nvr and/or web browser. The model is this one DS7608-NI-E2-8P
PoE. He using the plug N play. Shouldn't the plug in play change IP automatically accordingly?
@@shannonbreaux8442 when adding a camera via the Plug&Play method it will assign it an IP address in the 192.168.254.x range correct ,
@@DVSLTD I think so here the deal this is my first time messing with hik vision so I'm learning as I go. My friend I'm helping lives in another state from me so I am trying to help him as much as I can remotely. My only option was to start from scratch cause I not sure what user or psw he was using for nvr or cameras. So he recently did a factory reset. The last step he just completed was selecting the DHCP on the NVR network settings . Next will be trying to activate each camera which I will be trying within next few days.

Your videos have been a huge help to me! I have 2 of the 4K Hikvision Speed domes and they function beautifully, thanks to your instruction. Quick question: My Auto tracking will "time out" and send the camera back to the PARK position (HOME) per the instructions set in the PARK feature. However, if I go to a preset and then forget to go back to my HOME preset the camera will stay locked on that preset until I manually select my HOME preset. I was under the impression that the the PARK feature would move the camera back to the HOME preset after the set amount of time but it does not (I thought it used to do this but now I'm not sure). Is this how it is supposed to work? Or should the PARK feature have reset the camera back to HOME?
actually if the park action is enabled and set to a pre-set then it should return to this position after the set time , say 60 secs, if it doesn’t I have seen this before and a simple default of the PTZ has resolved this 😊

I still cannot get the park action to work. It ALWAYS reverts back to its 5 seconds default and preset #32 even though I hit SAVE. Very odd. I did come up with a work around where I created 2 identical Presets and told Blue Iris to Auto cycle them every 2 minutes. It works great as an alternative to Park Action. I have one other question that I just posted on one of your other vids (hope you won't mind):
The only other issue I continue to have is that it takes so long (10 seconds or so) for the Auto-tracking to actually engage and start zooming in or panning. I have been through every setting but can't find a way to make it respond any quicker. This delay has kept me from capturing critical moments. Are there any tips you can share relating to this?

Autotracking is not very smoothly, and the zoom not do well when AT triggered.
It works well , maybe you have configured incorrectly
I use 4 of the Hikvision DS-2DE4A425IW-DE PTZ and must rely upon the Auto Tracking feature. The problem I have with particular camera is that it loses its subject if it passes another subject, even if that second subject is stationary as with loitering person or a tree. It does not stay in lock with its target. From some videos I have recently seen it appears that he Auto Tracking feature may have been improved. In this video: ua-cam.com/video/hu_iCgdVMoI/v-deo.html it appears to lock onto the car until it has left the viewing area. I can't justify the most expensive Hikvision cameras but would like to know what the entry point is for an outdoor PTZ cameras that has the improved Smart Auto Tracking feature that will address the shortcoming of what I presently have. In my case I am more concerned for tracking people than cars for the most part.
thanks for the comment , there are 2 versions in reality , the smaller 4/5 series models ( only the one 4” has it ) has smart tracking but not the same level as the 8/9models have with the advanced smart tracking, so if cost is a factor then you can have the same functions as the more expensive models , the 5” model is in general quite reliable on this matter, or we have the DS-2SE7C144IW-AE(32X/4)(S5) model which has 2 cameras , and more advanced than the 5” model and no much more cost, so that could be something you consider
