That's a hilarious marketing idea.
It was done with a Model X and an Alfa Romeo originally.
Porsche must feel very insulted with this demo, lol.
good, competition!
As they should
not really no
@@diogovieira3362 Because the high-end trim of the 911 sells for almost THREE TIMES the price of the $99,990 Cyberbeast. Talk about knowing how to fleece your customers.
this is a drag strip and not a racetrack, nobody who buys a Porsche cares about going in a straight line🤦♂
But hats of to Tesla for the 2.6s to 60mph this is nuts for a pick up
Hilarious! Now we need a tug o war between a Cybertruck and five Porsche Cayenne.
Five F-150 would be more impressive if CT could win. Probably not 5.
In a tug of war the heaver car wins. Utterly useless, it is pure physics.
@@mufflejoy You could even take the fun out of Shrek. Go away and live a sad unhappy life somewhere drab and dark.
@@JustStartingOut-nt8ve We do not have five F150 in whole of Europe. But we have many thousands of Porsche Cayenne's.
Porsche probably laughed, then just went straight back making brilliant vehicles… 😂
Great! Now try cornering and braking in your oversized toaster...
now Porsh needs to do the same towing Cybertruck while racing with that.
They should do a 300 mile competition.
🧂
300 mile! That thing wouldn’t last 50 miles towing more than 2 people let alone a car… 😂
Because when I am towing, all I can think about is "I sure hope my quarter mile time is fast"... I really don't care if I get to the 300 mile mark on one tank of fuel...lol.
Simple. Stick with your Geo Metro.
This is the kind of weak argument desperate petrolheads have to resort to. Everything they say an EV can't do becomes standard within a year (if it isn't already). ICE is over. Only cheating can get ICE across the finish line ahead of EVs in the battle for transport dominance. And there are plenty of corrupt law makers taking oil money and trying their best to sabotage EVs. But, the Tesla Model Y was still the best selling car in the world this year.
A minute of silence for poor tesla fanboyz remembering than the lucid air sapphire is quicker and faster than ANY tesla ever produced (so are the chinese zeekr 001 fr and hiphi A, but I digress)
The 911 the CT was pulling tied with the 911 lmao.
BOOM OUT OF NOWHERE. IN PORSCHE’S FACE. LOL
While towing the range is reduced to under 100 miles?
And you get to sit for 40-120 minutes to charge back up in the middle of nowhere.
If it's so fast race the 919 hybrid Evo. One turn that gt3 would wreck it. How much battery is left after that deployment?
Porsche should do a response video where the Porsche flys through a turn and the tesla jack knifes the trailer
But can the Porsche tow? Or put big luggage or even have 5 seats haha. It’s not always about turning
Fuck Porsche.. I love how people try to defend Porsche.. like yeah you should take it through the canyons.. listen you're going to drive it.. on straight strips of land 99% of the time.. cybertruck crushes it on all levels
Porsche could probably do a lot of things, but why would they? This is a total smack-down and the public is enjoying the moment.
So you want Porsche to race a Cybertruck around a corner and use that as their reverse uno move, lol?
You can't have 4 inches of ground clearance from the factory on a truck, goofball.
atleast porsche doesnt blow up or have reliability issues. I await the beef from 8 yr old tesla fanboys 💀
2pac needed CyberTruck
You can tell by the spec it’s a Carrera T, the base engine of the 911. Not exactly “the pinnacle of combustion engine performance” lol. Just saying there’s a reason it didn’t race a turbo, turbo s or gt3. Judging by those specs it probably couldn’t even beat a gts. It’s a stupid comparison to make in the first place as these cars are meant for completely different purposes. But that’s Tesla marketing for ya 🤷🏼♂️
Still funny as hell that a truck meant to tow, can tow the same car faster than what it could do itself 😂
zero sense of humour?
Salty
Even the base model 911 should wipe the floor in that type of scenario. Not lose.
Checked specs of Carrera T - 0-62 mph: 4,5 s, so not a slowpoke. It made me laugh nevertheless.
But can it run crysis?
Racing a pickup while towing a pickup would have been better
The Rivian has already done that and it won.
That proud face is just delightful to watch
This is so boss move.
wonder how good the brakes are going that fast with that much mass
Very good. Every wheel not only has brakes but regenerative brakeing as well.
@@mikeagyou have no idea if it’s good or not. From teslas past, it’ll most likely have braking problems. I know for a 100% fact that Tesla puts peoples lives in dangers selling a Plaid model with the shittiest brakes in the entire industry that couldn’t stop a skateboard. Theirs a number from an article I read stating how many people have been killed from it. Hope those families sue Tesla.
WOW
840 bhp vs 370... plus EV vs ICE. What a joke!

pretty good for a "4 year old model" 😋... will it get "midlife facelift" before they finally start to sell it?😁
Really awesome stunt! Especially towing. Against the 911 Turbo S with its "stated" 2.7 0-60 (ends up often around 2.4) it wouldn't stand a chance! Obviously the base model is the best bet, but even then this is genius. For a giant EV that thing moves!
this is not a 911 turbo s☠
@@abdelrahmanayyad6972Average tesla fan who forgor to do research
Quoting a faster car than the one that was beaten to try and diminish the victory is a bit weak. Not to mention that without a load the Cybertruck is quoted at 2.6 seconds. Going by the history of Tesla understating performance that means it will actually go more like 2.3 seconds. So unloaded the Cybertruck would give even the 911 Turbo S a run for it's money. You're damn right that thing moves.
It’s not a turbo s. It’s probably a Carrera or a Carrera S. This has not the same bumper, no spoiler, and air vents behind doors
@@tommasov10 I think he meant as a scenario, not this video
They should had showed it braking.
It would take the whole 1/4 mile just to stop this thing
Brakes are both mechanical and electromagnetic, so braking time is comparable.
My cup of Schadenfreude runneth over.
But wait, there's more...👀
Master Trol. LOL
Amazing 👍
I can already see someone at Porsche making an electric SUV faster than a tesla model X maybe, towing a model x
There is no way Porsche could do that and make a sensible vehicle for a reasonable price. They couldn't do it even with an unlimited price tag.
they're doing this against most basic 911, try it against 911 turbo s 🤣
"the most basic 911" against a pickup truck that is towing the same car it's racing against
That is the slowest 911 they make
still a 911 getting beat by a truck towing a 911
@@DriverJ-N they should have put their slowest Cybertruck vs the slowest 911 then pal
Just the name 911 it slef is symbolic enough
And it should never lose in that scenario. 🙄
But the cybertruck shown is cheaper than the 911 shown also
Elon, I think you've completely missed the point. Driving a Porsche is about the car feeling alive, hugging the bends, it's noise, the whole experience. Although the Cybertruck having all that self drive technology is really cool... because it means as the driver you can close your eyes and not have to look at it. :-)
Elon has not missed the point. All his fans have missed the point and he is just exploiting that.
What are you on about? he doesn't even have anything against Porsche. He's not trying to rebuke or disprove anything about Porsche, not trying to rebuke what driving a Porsche is all about. He chose to drag a Porsche because it just so happens that dragging that particular car will make the demo successful.
@@pyotrberia9741 fair comment 👍
Tesla was demonstrating the power of the CT, in that it can tow an entire other vehicle, and still have this type of sports car-esque performance.
There wasn't any point missed, it just went over your head.
Bebebe driving the Porsche, bebebe.
So poor gasoline fanboy got trolled 😂
Wasn’t it hauling the Porsche, not towing it?
2 sides of the same coin. Still an extra amount of weight, which is what makes it impressive
I hope Porsche is embarrassed too, their base model is pathetic considering how much they charge. They should just remove the base model, it’s just embarrassing!
unfortunately a fake video
Why would Porsche be upset? They have a faster car for straight-line racing, the Porsche Taycan Turbo S. Why didn't Elon use that car to race against the Cybertruck?
True ofc, but it says a lot that this truck is faster than a sports car while towing said sports car.
Yes and Tesla has the Plaid S, what is your point
@@iaintdonknow It's impressive but just a marketing stunt. Reminds me of Enzo Ferrari trash talking Ferruccio Lamborghini about his tractors. We saw how quickly that changed. Not saying Porsche will build a Cybertruck competitor, because that's not their target customers.
This video better proves the point that the EV truck is better than the gas variants of Porsche. Everyone knows the Taycan is the faster Porsche vehicle, so it wouldn’t get the point across well.
Sour Porsche fan missed the joke?
Haters gonna be real mad about this one 🤣🤣🤣

Meh. I have a 992 and Model S and I prefer driving the 992 despite lesser acceleration. If this demo was the 911 Turbo, I'd be VERY impressed.

Entertaining but apple to orange.
We are in transition period. Pretty sure Porsche or any brand for that matter has several under development.
BTW this is nothing new. Seen plenty of overboosted diesel trucks running low 3s with a cool trail of black smoke.
Have it tow the 911 300 miles? Can’t make it. Also see if it can stop, bad brakes too like the car.
Impressive especially if you consider that the Cybertruck probably also costs less. Would have been interesting to know which porsche trim it was
One can tear down the road and one Will tear up our roads. It's the heavy one.
Guess thats great if your wanting to pull 3000 pounds as fast as you can. Maybe Cybertrucks should go on the Tractor pull county fair circut ?
They showed tractor pull vs Ford F150, F350, and Rivian and it destroyed all of them. Look it up, it's on YT
Someone's mad
That’s right after this clip 😂. CT beats out a F350 diesel.

Oh, goodness. It’s obviously both some sort of marketing stunt along with ego massaging. But if someone else is compelled to engage in the absurdity, then a better match up would involve the Taycan Turbo S. The two most important pieces of information that I believe people wanted to know at this event was range and price. Neither were mentioned. I went to the the Cybertruck website after the event and saw the update. I'm feeling discouraged about the Cybertruck now. The lower cost truck won't be available for I'm sure well over a year and the range is only 250mi. The middle model is $79,990 pretty expensive and 340mi range. Between the range, price, and wait time I'm feeling just a bit discouraged. I went from super excited in 2019, to hopeful these past 4 years, to uncertain it's even worth it. Anyone else?
