The fan worship is always nice to see Tamara. I primarily use the DJI OP3 for everything now. It replaced the GoPro on my chest rig. I also use my Insta360 X3 as I hike on on my jogs as a runner. My Sony A7III is (pretty much) the B-roll camera 🤣
Nice video. Will consider your hints seriously. Likely need to rewatch more than once. Used time lapse when my friend was working on his Milling machine, but didn't use any of my ND filters. Thanks!
Not many give as good examples as you did while showing what you’re talking about when they are explaining something to their viewers. Love the vibe 🤟🏼
I tend to use a 1" shutter with a locked ISO at 50. If the ND1000 is too dark, I'll use the next step down which is a ND 256. Now if that's not dark enough, I'll stack another nd on top like the nd8 and work up until I get the EV meter to 0.3. I feel that's the best for getting a lot of motion blur and I can still adjust the exposure in post just a tiny bit
Tamara, I have spent over twenty years using Timelapse in the UK for Traffic Data Collection and the results have been great and fit for purpose but boring. Your examples in Royal Wootton Bassett are beautiful and cinematic in comparison. So, thanks for the tuition as always and look forward to your next Edutainment posts. All the best from NZ.
Nice video! About the motion blur. The reason why the motion blur is so appealing is because, the eyes are use to seeing it in the real world. wave your fingers in front of your eyes and you will see what I mean. Best regards.
Thanks for the video, I like how you tell the contents. I bought the OP3 a few weeks ago and I'm trying to mix it with the DJI Ronin 4D: shooting in D-Log they are more than good for medium/low budget jobs. But it becomes an extraordinary tool if you attach the OP3 to an extension pole: you will remove cobwebs from every corner of your location... you will effortlessly have unique points of view 👋
Great tips, ND filters ideally polarised ones are essential for the pocket. Not the settings/camera police but auto white balance is not ideal for long takes I would go with dealing it in.
Honestly I’m having a total crisis with cameras currently. I’m more of an audio geek but I’m slowly getting into videos to enhance the content. I’ve got the OP3 recently and the focus causes me grief most of the time. I’ve got an action 4 on the way too. I figure the only way at this pint to be sure is to try them both and sell the weakest link of the two. It will be typical that I’ll want to keep both for different things though.
Thanks! Yeah, I did a settings video a few months ago ua-cam.com/video/w2kNFhB_Ois/v-deo.html. There’s also a free settings guide in the description of the video 😊
I would love to do this kinda content - but I live in South East London LOL! Can't be having ma equipment out and solo shooting with these ppls sticky fingers LOL
"Starting with the strongest one"? I always thought the ND 256 was for recording DUNE in desert or maybe on the surface on the sun. I would have thought with the overcast you might go for ND 16 or 32. I must have been totally wrong about this. ND 1000 is great for taking photos of waterfalls etc right?
Yeah but you need a really strong one if you want to drop the shutter to around 1 second. And yeah, ND1000 would be good for long exposure photography where you’d want that silky look for a waterfall.
Hi, I have a quick question about the DJI osmo pocket 3.. I recently got it about a week ago and I noticed that it makes a beeping sound every time I hit the record button as if it’s announcing the fact that I’m recording 😅 how do I get it to stop making that sound and silently record? I’m planning to record at a theatre soon and I don’t want to be a nuisance to the other viewers with my loud camera in hand..
I live in Antalya, a suuny and hot city with beatiful sea. I chose ace pro and insta x4 combination because for sunny i will always need nd filter for pocket 3 and i can use insta in sea and pool. i really wanted to buy osmo pocket 3 due to low light advantage, gimbal and dept of bokeh advantage but i can use it in few hours in Antalya. i wait the osmo pocket 4.
Thanks! Ha, yeah, it's happened a few times in a few different places. I probably just stand out quite a bit and look strange because I'm usually testing 100 cameras at once! 😅
@@TamaraGabrielUK oh really. That's interesting how people recognise you. Like you said maybe because you have your tripods and cameras so it can look obvious too but at least you are getting some fans too lol 😊
Hey Tamara, couple questions for you ☺️ What computer do you use to edit your videos? I’m thinking of switching to Mac after being with Windows for years just to speed up my workflow. Do you think the new M3 MacBook Pro would be a good choice? Also the titles that transition into lower thirds, are they from the sponsor of this video? Cheers!
Hey 👋🏾 I use a MacBook Pro M1 16” or my Mac Studio and I edit in FCPX. I switched from Windows to iOS and wouldn’t ever go back. The whole editing workflow has been smoother and quicker. Those particular titles that I used are from MotionVFX.
@@TamaraGabrielUK you’re a star ⭐️ Thank you so much Tamara, genuinely since I found your channel you have really inspired me and changed my mindset to put more effort into my content and really care about it. Thank you 🫶🏻
Why I don’t use the Osmo Pocket 3, not weatherproof, so I prefer the Action 4, but I do live in Northumberland☔️. Beautiful county when the sun shines…today.😎 Sadly Pocket 3 always has the edge on timelapse’s with its motion feature,.
Thanks for the great video 😁 I‘m thinking of getting the pocket 3 with the creator combo. I mainly want to do vlogging and short form videos. But I also considering to do some studio like talking videos from time to time. Do you think the pocket 3 would be a good choice for that for and is something that can be used for the next upcoming years? I do also have a go pro 10 and an I phone 13 pro (might upgrade to an 16 pro). Would you therefore also recommend to buy the receiver for the dji mic?
You’re welcome ☺️ I’d say that the Pocket 3 would a good option for what you need. If you don’t want to have to sync the audio later in the edit, then yeah you’d need the receiver if you want to use the mic with your GoPro or phone.
one time i dropped my nd filter and it got so dirty from inside and outside as well. i wiped it but it still not perfectly clean like it was before . do you have any tips of hot to clean them from inside ? outside is no problem but the instide....
I do lot of sketches and short films alone. So see what I film on my phone is perfect. I hope they will make so we can and a mask over the face so lot of face filters like clowns and monsters
Yep. Biggest drawback of the P3 is the durability. Don’t ever take it to the beach or you’ll end up with sand in the gimbal motors just from it blowing around.
It depends on what camera I'm using. If I use my Sony A7s III then I just use the Lark M2, otherwise, if I use the Pocket 3 or Action 4 then I use the DJI Mic 2 (for convenience), if I just want to record internal 32-bit float when out and about and then sync later then I use the Rode Wireless PRO.

1:05, I agree, always an excellent quality !!
What a well-done and informative video. The time went by fast (which is how I can always tell when one of these tutorials is good).
Thank you for this, I'm going to give this a try this week :)
Thanks to you Tamara, I got some super time lapses in Newport Beach today with those filters. Much appreciated.
Amazing!
Motion timelapse is one of my favourite feature!
this was great! thank you. gonna give it a try
Love how that guy walked by you and said that he’s a big fan.
I know, right 🥹
I loved that. It made me smile so big. A lot of times people get shy about these things and they don’t want to say hi. I’m glad he spoke up.

I love the timelapse feature on this thing. The Pocket 3 is fun to use.

Great Video Tamara. I Love Timelapse on the OP3
Any idea when the Action 5 might be released? Does DJI follow a yearly upgrade timeline?
Always first because I love Tamera and everything she does ❤

I agree with you.. We need the next pocket 3 waterproof.. I had to stop recording many times and throws off everything.

Ha, probably. They’re both great in their own respect, and though you can vlog with both, they each have their specific use cases.
Fantastic tips, Tamara - thanks you.

Thanks 😊 There’s a link to the tripod in the description.

Do you put the iso as auto or 100? Because sometimes the clouds are changing exposure 😮

Dji osmo action 2 vs insta360 go 3s?
Which has better details in 4k?
Which is better for pov?

Some of the traffic lights in my town change that fast without Timelapse !
😂

Wash it with normal water and minimal washing up liquid. Rinse then a final rinse with distilled water. Soak up excess with a micro fibre cloth.
3d print an umbrella mount for your tripod 😜
Now there’s an idea 😅
yesss if they make the next one waterproof i will get it
