About: Satisfactory
Satisfactory is a first-person open-world factory building game with a dash of exploration and combat. Pioneering for FICSIT Incorporated means charting and exploiting an alien planet, battling alien lifeforms, creating multi-story factories, entering conveyor belt heaven, automating vehicles, and researching new technologies.
This Factorio like game has heavy automation, with automated mining, crafting, and you can even automate movement!

Could the new liquids and ingots be SAM Ore?
Hope so
That would be cool
Or it could be liquis nitrogen, as it is currently used for quantum computers. The new liquid canisters looks like the ones used to stock liquid nitrogen too.
Having played 1.0 under NDA part
i can safely say the item at 0:40 is SAM ore related. It also required a miner, no liquid at the time.
Yes they are
My guess... You can Teleport from Hub to Hub via the Toilet. 🤔
there... is only one hub, unfortunately. maybe it'll change, and that'd be very funny, but right now i don't know.
Yes
Aaaah the infamous TP! (Toilet Portal)
Or, they removed the toilet from the game, and that spot is now the teleportation room.
The "toilet flush" theme of the trailer might be tongue-in-cheek, for the fact that there's no longer a working toilet in the game.
@@thrawn01 satisfactory devs don't seem like the kinda people to sell that as dlc, thank goodness. although you are probably right in *some* manner, just idk what.
Something to remember, some of these "new" items could also be a re-sprite of an existing item
I was going to say this, it seems like an strong possibility since the artists won't be sitting idle after the game goes feature complete.
re-sprite? we have moved past games like Doom and such with sprites :D it could be a reskin though...
Very true
2:14 - Powered foundations would be BANGING!
I'm guessing they forgot to hook them up though :P
I know you said this 12 days ago so maybe more info has come out, but there's 0% chance for that IMO. It would be way too OP and make improved power poles irrelevant
Its not teleportation but toileportation... Thanks for the video!
You win pun of the day. I look forward to seeing if Coffee Stain tight off this joke as well
Missed opurtunity to name it ”Teleportapotty”
The Turdis.
@@MultiSevenofnine Scatisfactory
About the teleporting thing, in ficsmas event you can get the superposition oscillator (i think thats the name) and its description says it is used for teleportation technologies
I mean, who knows what the s.a.m ore is used for (we will probably learn that plus what is up with thr alien artifacts)
The blue swirl in the logo struck me as similar to the Portal game logo.
Reminded me of the logo for Spore, that weird Maxxis game from 2008
redit suggested mercersauce and sloopjuice for the respective colored liquids/gasses
Interesting idea - could be
The pink sphere at the end of the teaser looks a lot like a Mercer Sphere in an extreme close-up, so maybe there's finally some purpose for them.
I think they've stated that in 1.0 Mercer spheres and somer sloops or whatever they're called will finally have a use. Sorry it's been a while since I've played.
If teleportation was added to the game I wouldn't want to use it for anything other than personal transport, and even then maybe not even that. I don't even like using drones unless they are bringing items to a hard to reach area, because I love setting up train networks. Trains are absolutely my favorite part of satisfactory. But whatever comes I'm super excited for 1.0 and the possible future updates/ DLC. My biggest curiousity is what will the Alien artifacts and SAM ore be used for.
Agreed, using a whole bunch of quantum computers just to move some other items seems ridiculously inefficient. The only plausible use for teleportation that I see is getting / sending something to/from the planet that is otherwise impossible to get
Agreed. Teleporting items would defeat the purpose of all logistics, even if it's the last thing you unlock it'd be super lame. I think player teleportation is very much needed.
maybe they were specific items who can't be transported in normal ways, who knows, maybe they had some kind of expiration limit, or they are extremely heavy, so the unique solution is teleport those items to make others. I don't think the devs "ruin" the other transportation methods just to add a new one without sense
The O in the word Toilet looks more like the Milky Way Galaxy to me. And where is the water coming from with the toilet flushing? Will the HUB require a water input?
It is the swirl of the water inside a toilet when flushing
The hub recycles the water so you're just using the same water over and over. 😇 This in the future of all toilets. 💩
@@Bigdog1787 I thought you were going to jump into the old adage, "If it's yellow, let it mellow. If it's brown, flush it down.". 😁
From the Coffee Stain Studios stream, I like the bouncing Ficsit logo, it is the same as DVD-players use to have as a screen saver.
I suspect the gas may just be location there in the grassy fields. When you build inside the poison gase area, the gas ignores the building foundations and walls and just flows through.
i think a big teleporting facility wouldnt make sense alone on the cost of the items you need to feed it and drones existing, and liquid nuclear waste also seems wrong, as it would make getting rid of waste way too easy by just using "flush pipe network" once in a while
I doubt we'd be stuck permanently with having to store nuclear waste though. It makes very little sense just to have to store it somewhere and do nothing with it, both from a gameplay perspective as well as performance reasons.
Maybe the teleportation gadget allows you to teleport the nuclear waste into oblivion by sending it up the blue beam and into the sun or a black hole?
That is a good point. They would have to add extra exceptions just for this one scenario and I doubt they would make a new liquid radioactive object just to give themselves that headache. It is not the right color anyway.
Agree. Make no sense. Just because something is green does not mean it is radioactive. Even radioactive items are not green in reality...
@@Neo-vz8nhexcept for uranium glass, which was famous for its bright transparent green colours before anybody knew that it was dangerous.
Uranium glass was used to make common items like glasses for drinking, ashtrays or lampshades so it made such a bigger impression on the public consciousness that the technical applications for radioactive materials which are mostly keep in secure environments so people don't often see them.
Some people think that this is where we got the idea that radioactive things should glow, others say that it's due to comic books and cartoons where it was an easy way to show that materials were dangerous.
@@Stoney3Kyou can just turn nuclear waste into plutonium FuelRods and sink them
The miner looks to have a window on the side with that same pink liquid as in pipes. Maybe its something to do with a special type of extraction rather than an upgrade? Maybe a special extractor for SAM ore
not same building as the miner, it is slightly in front and to the left of the miner
maybe the liquid near the coal generators is like a coolant that if used instead of water simply leads at a bigger power output for the same coal (I'm not english so I hope you can understand the grammar anyway)
That would be an awesome addition.
But you use water to make steam. Without water=no steam no steam=no power
@@ppeezyou could boil other liquids to turn a turbine in a powerplant. We water for lots of reasons, but all liquids become gasses when heated and all gasses expand.
Mostly we use water because it's abundant and cheap. The energy is coming from the coal used to heat it up so the water isn't really necessary so long as you have some liquid turning into gas.
You're doing great with your English!
@@SineN0mine3 we use water because its very easy to boil, as well. Using a coolant makes little sense
Excellent update, thank you! Really appreciated how you didn't go overboard and wildly speculate, but instead focused on what we actually saw and what we know from the early access version.
Fart rock nodes would be real interesting. Huh. 1.0 is going to be a wild ride - I'm debating just deleting my entire build, storing all my stuff (and keeping my unlocks), in anticipation of it.
That's a smart approach! You building a sort of mega-warehouse to be able to hit the ground running?
I'm sort of tempted to just start from scratch... Again 😅
They did mention in the 1.0 changes that you may miss out on the story aspect since unlocks have already happened... Just something to think about
@@XAVR_ that’s the idea. Just the initial grind up to coal, really nuclear, takes so long, I’d rather be able to build the next idea without having to start from rock bottom. Again.
Chances are pretty good that you'd have to do a fresh start, with all the changes to the nodes, your save will likely be broken.
@@TH3_T3RM1N4T0R Oh totally - that's why I'd delete everything and just store it away - my favorite area to build my starter base has basically been wiped out, so I'd be moving everything around regardless.
the new items at the start look like the item Hogs drop
Posted as much of that new building as possible in your Discord
I'm wondering if the greenish/cyan liquid is a troll and it's just water after they've done some sort of water overhaul.
Hi, not sure if you spotted it, but at 15 seconds in when the shot zooms into the hub, if you zoom in further you can clearly see an ikea style bookcase through the open door, and what looks like a coffee machine in the background through the window :)
Yep it looks like the hub has been redone but I'm not sure how much of that we can control
Is that first new item on the belt mentioned at the start just the spitter remains?
9:38 - At least one (I'm guessing 2) new tier(s) is already confirmed by the EA version of the game already. On startup it says: "Welcome to the Early Access of Satisfactory. Currently we have Tiers 1-8 implemented, but as development continues, MORE TIERS AND NEW FEATURES WILL BE ADDED".
I made that same argument in the discord, and everyone except CS shot it down. Saying that CS have said there will only be 8 tiers. I made the argument that if that was the case, CS should remove that bit of text, or change it to say there will only be 8 tiers. But they haven't done either one to my knowledge, so I suspect at least 1 more tier is being added.
I don't know last tiers but I don't get where would they put new 1.0 stuff if that's not on other tiers ? I don't see why they wouldn't have kept new high-end machines for release
The item on the first conveyer looks sort of like a battery pack. Maybe you can upgrade the hover suit so you can leave wireless power range for a number of seconds and manage to go back without falling to your death?
1:16 The black barrier looks to be placed ontop of a normal road barrier along the road and stacked several layers in front of the machine.
12:06 You can see by the area where you were talking about feeding the items, the cyan fluid pipe is going into/out that machine! The center ring of the fluid indicator is barely visible around one of the item canisters.
(Side note, I wonder if the glowing fluid can be packaged and that’s the new canister or if you’ll need to use pipes for it?)
At 10:33 the packaged cannisters with the diamond flamable sign...actually look like a Duracell batteries to me, with a plus sign at the top. Maybe they are mark 2 batteries, with bigger charges. Looking forward to finding out in 2 months.
0:12 A part is riding on the conveyor on the right ..What is this detail? Is it one detail or two?
what if the gold pipes aren't a skin but maybe a variant made out of caterium. maybe it has faster or batter water flow properties. but that's just a theory......
Could it be like Call of Duty and when you beat the game you get a gold color skin?
Gold pipe might also be used for a specific resource, maybe for transporting plasma or something.
Or perhaps some exotic fluid like hot quantum coolant or phlebotenum juice or sun oil or something can't be carried by normal copper/plastic pipes and requires the properties of caterium.
In the present game, there's not a lot of uses for Caterium; mostly you make it into quickwire or occasionally make it into alternates for other things.
@@justicefool3942 ohh that might be it
@TotalXclipse At 2:25 when you talk about the missing power cables, whenever I specialize my several factory buildings, I usually connect all factories through the grond beneath inside the blocks. This way you can barely see it is connected. It could be that, as a joke, the one who built the factory for this trailer, did the same. I love to do this myself, because it gives all factory buildings a very clean look. I hate cable lines.
2:20 It may also be an alternative to power shards. An item (maybe one of the alien collectibles) that allow you to to replace cables with a power component in the machine that fuels it instead.
That new items looks like Plasma Spitter Remains, it could either have a new recipe or it is used to represent something else
I do think the "angled glass" is a normal pane of glass, it's just attached to the "roof glass" above, as it's 90° to it. I would assume that's how the angle was achieved, no dev-tools necessary.
If you haven't seen it yet, I recommend watching the newest update video very closely and importantly completely.
I was excited for 1.0, but now I am hyped! Yes!
I've just got back from spending time with family - hopefully there'll be a video for tomorrow
4:00 this may also be a plasma extractor that draws ressources from the sky and converts it into useable parts (hence the glowing fluids)
In the toilet flush scene, there is something moving by the seated pioneer's hand. It's been a while since I played, is there something normally moving there?
1:36 bottom left corner of this shot the splitter looks longer. Also there looks to be a half foundation steel support holding that bridge up
The first think the pink liquid/gas made me think of is liquid crystal possibly made from Quartz Crystal. Computer displays are typically Liquid Crystal Displays. IRL it isn't quartz, but it could be good enough for the game as an item and the color would make sense.
I feel like there are enough ways to transport resources across the map, but we should absolutely have player teleportation for the late game.
Being flushed through the toilet to teleport would be hilarious!
One of my favourite additions this far is the new glass texture/reflection. It look so much better, also the new widows are perfect. I’m so exited for whatever the flammable-warning-barrels are involved in!
I would say, that there is an alternative recipe for more power with the coal generators. Because it is being feed by an explosive gas and the blue liquid would be a better cooling fluid.
Could be some color grading or LUTS applied to the trailer who have some effect on the glowing things as well.
It looks like the mk 3 miner in the back have 2 separate vertical lines coming out of it, which would solve the issue of it being too good
The thing that caught my eye I haven't heard mentioned yet is that the pioneer was hopping over the belt in one close-up scene and sliding under it in another. It's easy to assume that hop over animation was custom for the video, but I suspect it is actually a new movement mechanic. Imagine walking through a factory full of 1-high belts and just being able to seemlessly walk "through" them where your character does a kind of parkour over the belt. Am I reading too much into it?
Thought too this scene focus too much on the move for not being a hint of a new character movement. Maybe with some equipment but seeing how nice the movements already are, I would find it nice to be able to slide low on the floor or over objects like the conveyors at this height
3:56 I believe that what you called the cooling system is actually the superposition Oscillator. But I could be wrong. It just looks similar in my mind.
Not gonna lie, i like this breakdown more than the first, the other one was kinda too stressed, this one feels more thought out and is way calmer
IN the first picture you show we can see right to the hub around the tank some unatural grass maybe they've aded a bit of nature for decoration 😅
The gold pipe ties into the gold skin that was used in the hub for a really long time. and there is that golden cup + golden factory cart so it would make sense if we could use gold more.
just hope we get a CHROME skin too... I would have so many chrome pipes all over the place...
what you think could be teleport could also be a new form of power plant since it has a pipe and belt connection
the blue light is Cherenkov Radiation. it's when a nuclear reactor is running. my guess is the new rotating building is for doping computer parts to make new tech level stuff.
Could the pipe we see after sliding under the belt possibly be a mark 3 pipe? It does look larger than other pipes to me 🤔
Yo I'm 100% on the teleporter and supercomputer theories here. You weren't kidding in the comments on the last video when you said you missed even more lol
I was surprised how much I missed - just shows how sneaky CSS are when it comes to these trailers
Will there ever be a items counter on conveyor belts ? I'm on GeForce Now and can't add mods.
Looks like the new building is the old unreleased quantum encoder, certainly in terms of size and shape.
12:42 It kinda gives me a vibe like how right now when you go into the items that are supposed to be part of the storyline and it does this kind of transients mindset like it's talking to you kind of. reminds me like that. Maybe we'll have an alien in our mind at some point.
At the 14 second mark it does look (at the top left) that there will be some kind of wall hole as it appears to be off center to the door below it. Unless they are clipping.
That's a central wall whole, but the elevator is slightly further away from the wall so there's a conveyor going into it, making the perspective look a touch off
The gold pipe shown in the running part. appears to have a different model, it has visible bumps about each 1m...
Combined with the different color... this could mean armored/reinforced pipes for use with corrosive liquids/gasses. (there already are containers for corrosive liquid/gas)
Also the rumbling stomach, flushing toilet... does this imply food and requirement to eat ? (and in-game rest) ?
I kinda feel like it isn't, since it isn't "needed", but the machine in the middle looks awfully a lot like a fusion reactor in my eyes. Also kinda matches the description and concept art i made on the Satisfactory Q&A site regarding just that. Gaseous waste (pink stuff), but instead of creating power, this reactor may be used to fuse complex parts into the final, most complex, parts in the game. Hence the item input/output as well.
The glow above the "reactor" would then be Cherenkov radiation! :D
The thing u thought was a teleporter us def a teleporter cuz they added the superposition oscillator a long time ago which says its used for teleporting and it makes sense to finally add a use for it same with the same ore so i believe the pink stuff is from sam ore
In the satisfactory discord there is an edited image of the hexagonal building put together!
It has been said that nuclear is required to progress so the idea of fart gas and nuke waste being combined for some end game recipe would then make sense.
That first one appears to be either fabric or Spitter remains, based off the color ima go with Spitter remains
Are they going to add all the missing parts (like recipes for collectibles that were unusable earlier)? I mean those mercer globec etc.
Isn't there also a new sparks Animation for the assembler and constructors, or has it always been that way?
7:27 my theory is that it's just solid biofuel but it's retextured
Hype!
Before the Logo shows up, it looks like a solar system with a Sun and Planets and the O looks like a star galaxy
By chance, my first "real" try at this game put the main factory in exactly the same place.
if S.A.M. ore finally gets a use, I can't wait!!! Also, as an avid teleport mod user, I hope we can travel thru the new one also. lol
The toilet flush O looks like the Milky Way galaxy.
The daisy chain seems legit. A few seconds later we have a view from the hub onto the daisy chain and theres no cable coming from the right side.
Time will tell :)
The beam could be some sort of power transmitter/receiver from space
nice video, but to be honest i noticed that there is a teleport button in the settings of satisfactory since i started playing i started looking at keybinds and is a while i still can't understand why is there
Could the pink liquid be from quarts crystals? The quartz is pinkish in color. Maybe a liquid quartz fluid for mixing with sam ore? Or for quantum stuff perhaps.
I think you have done a more intensive analysis of this video than they did of the Kenedy assasination in 50 years.
😂 if a jobs worth doing, it's worth doing in depth hahahah
For me it seems like the new item by the truck at 0:50 = a space elevator part, which the pioneer hops over at 9:24.
i thought that blue beam on the new building was cherenkov radiation, like you get with an exposed nuclear source
Oh, I know this base location by heart! It's my favorite base location!
What if connecting buildings with conveyor belts works as power wires as well?
12:20 It looks like the Portal Games. It really must be a Portal thing.
the new machine at the start that you hypothesis is a teleportation unit looks a lot like an modernized version of the quantum encoder highlighted at the 1:00 minute mark of the E3 reveal trailer. Also interesting that this video and the E3 reveal trailer are filmed at nearly the same place on the map.
Yeh I mentioned in the last video that I thought it was the building for quantum computers but found it odd the quantum computers were being fed into it. The models look very similar too
Wonder if the new fluorescent liquids could be fracking liquid for a new type of miner and Sam ore could be an ingredient in making the fracking liquid
What if the green gas cloud is just the bug where you destroy a fart rock, and the particle effect doesn't go away?
My theory for the unpowered buildings is that belts travel it
I'd assume new gas will be methane. I think it would be most likely given the gas containers, flammable warning sign and them being from the fart rocks. (Just ignore the fact Methane it's self doesn't smell that way and it's added by us to find leaks easier)
7:20 third belt, doen't look like a rotor, unless the LOD is stopping it from resolving correctly
it is rotor, put one on the ground in game and look for yourself
@@LiLBitsDK I've uninstalled the game until 1.0, I was looking on Satisfactory Calculator and the rotor image looks different, but it could be an old image on there
@@MrBwian well I can tell you 100% sure it is a rotor... have the game running... the website isn't the same ;-) it's not solid in the middle
0:48 just looks like the alien drops.
Fart rock nodes for hydrogen sulfide gas? Irl it's used in petroleum processing, wastewater treatment, and mining, so maybe we need it to flush the amazing new toilet or to mine a node now, a la sulfuric acid in factorio for uranium?
tbh, the new "canisters" to me look like some Duracell batteries
That green glow in the pipe looks similar to the green glow of the Plutonium fuel rods once they have been assembled to install in the Nuclear Power station.
hmmm it could be
@@TotalXclipse I hope that doesn't mean we're going to have to deal with plutonium waste too 😱
@@simacmanus4645 would you rather keep a ton of storage containers full of plutonium waste and hope you dont have to go there and expand the capacity
What if the teleporter is to go up to the space station where you have to build another factory to fix it?
What if another planet is introduced, with it's own resources, hence the need for nodes realignment?
@@leventedanka6764no way, they wont make any new planet, they confirmed it.
Did anyone analyze the devs's rambling during the livestream ? They did a whole storyline in chat, dunno if it was just random stuff or maybe they hinted at some 1.0 features.
unfortunately I missed the chat during the livestream - if someone has broken it down I'd love to check it out too!
There's also the mercer spheres and summersloops
One theory I saw is that the SAM ore will be used to make more of them. That's why it has red and green.
Will we have to construct teleportation technology to flush the toilet?
What about auto-jump over the coveyor belts?
Too me the first item you mentioned kinda looks like the Alien Stuff I can't think of the name as of now
Alien carcass i think? Maybe?
Could be @@menotkevin227
I am going to guess, new belt that also carries power. It's something I wish they had.
Those "ingots" could be a new model for solid biomass. It never made much sense to fuel the chainsaw (and jetpack later) with massive logs of OSB (oriented strand board). A smaller model looks better to me.
