This was very insightful. I feel like I am doing similar schedule with my 4th grader. We do a loop with our core 4 from 10-12. Then from 1-4:30 is block with chores added in.That is great what you are doing with your older kids and how this will help them in young/adult life. I agree with a lot that you said about relaxing.
I love how you broke this down. I'm having a little bit of a push back with my 6yr old. He does not like homeschooling. He is doing very well, but it is very structured. So I think im going to try to implement some of this and see how it goes....thanx for the video

You just saved my life!!! Lol. I'm new to your channel (liked & subscribed 😀 👍) and I'm a new homeschooling mom as of this week to boys ages 7 & 9 and I use the box curriculum Time4learning. I'm a scheduler but because this is new to me I'm trying to figure out the best ways to cover what the boys need, plus they have a lot of missing puzzle pieces in reading & math so I am dropping them both down to 1st grade and teaching them together from there. But didn't know how I wanted to plan their days and subjects and you've just made it so easy and I just learned today about blocking & looping and I wanted to incorporate both and you have done it beautifully!!!🥰😍 Thanks so much and I'll be watching for old and new content! Hi Dana, Like most things in my life, I keep my loop schedule in my planner. Otherwise, I would be more of a nutcase... But my goal is to do an updated video and show examples!
Hey lovely just found your page this was such a great video I was wondering so after you do your main study of the day for example your math. What subjects do you loop through and for how long in the rest of the day ? I was a little confused on what you loop through Thursday and Friday?
Hi Angelique! On Thursday and Friday I loop through whatever we didn't get to Monday- Wednesday. So say we didn't get to history I will start my loop with history. Say we had a great three days and got through everything I will start with math and loop through math reading writing again. Sometimes I will only loop through history, science and art since they don't have their own designated days. Think of Thursday and Friday as catch up days/extra days/ or free days!
