      Sorry, but your technique, in creating the first nail you show, is very sloppy! I would have been extremely embarassed to have even of thought to put this on the internet. WAY too thick and VERY sloppy! When you make the end of the nail so thick, you are asking for trouble. You, in my opinion, definitely need to practice much more. I would be suprised to actually know that you had your license, you would have never had passed if you had been in front of me, or any of my professionals.

    This is just the video I needed to finally get it! I love that you showed how much monomer liquid you picked up because I realized that was the part I wasn't doing right. I couldn't for the life of me seal the cuticle bead right I couldn't make it melt into the nail. And since it wasn't melting into the nail my nails would fall off really easily it was so frustrating. Your a great teacher I would really appreciate more videos like this!

    Wow, you really do a beautiful job with that.
    I really love how close you got the camera on this. I know it’s difficult to do but you made it look so darn easy.
    I’m just learning how to do my own. I started with the dipping system but I want to be able to do the acrylic with tips and a form.
    My friend has two severely damaged nail beds that don’t even allow for a tip to be placed on to them. They are permanently damaged. I wish you could see a photo of how bad they are.

    I’m 48 years old and I’ve been doing my own acrylic nails since I was 11 years old. So that means I am self taught, I’m so grateful that you’re selling your products to everyone not just technicians. My nails come out looking just like you all. It just makes it hard to buy the products because I don’t have a license. When I was living in Delaware I had three vo-tech schools wanted me to get My license so that I could teach that portion of the cosmetology class. New subbie he and I will be purchasing your products.

      Defo the best move that products designed for professional use sold to everyone that way everyone can weasel out those companies usually that sell those cheap kits that sell liquid that's illegal (MMA) to use on nails

    Thank you so much!
    I have recently started doing my own acrylic nails. I use nail glue to attach a tip, and file the edge of the fake nail to my real nail to smooth it out. I apply the acrylic, often in multiple small beads because I am a beginner and a big bead dries out too quickly. I use an electric file to smooth it out, with a regular grit then a fine grit.
    The acrylic looks very smooth while it is unpainted. I cannot notice any little caverns. I spend around an hour filing all of my nails. But, once I apply polish, I notice how bumpy the acrylic was. In addition, the thinner acrylic around my cuticles tend to chip. I have purchased some primer that will hopefully help with that.
    Any advice for a newbie is welcome, especially on how to achieve a fully smooth nail with filing. Thank you!

    • @cfar76
      @cfar76 5 років тому

      Hi! I do my own as well and i buy the 180 grit file to shape then a polar bear block buffer (both from sallys). The buffer is white with a bear and it smooths the surface. Then i use a good oil and wash and they come out very smooth. I hope this helps.

To get the bead of acrylic powder right! I felt like it dried fast than I could even spread or set th acrylic powder around the nail... I will keep trying as I wana do nails one day for a business... i know practice makes perfect! Thank you for video... 💅🏾

      Blu Misses I do my own too and mine used to do that a lot and so I started looking at other nail techs and vids, they say it could be that your using to much monomer to powder ratio like its to wet so I tried that and made the bead smaller and that helped a lot ?? Maybe that could help 🙃🙃
