@Colby Taylor thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Had my american pro ii for a couple months now. Inspires me every time I pick it up. Sounds, looks, and plays so amazing. It's my main guitar now. I got the miami blue with a maple board and now Im already saving again to buy the dark night color with rosewood board and HSS.
This is exactly what I want to do, in that order too! But price-wise I'm just not sure it's worth it... Did you feel like you got your money's worth? It just seems like you don't get much for £1600.
@@peterklein5861 Thats going to be highly opinionated but personally I feel like I definitely got my moneys worth. Like I said, the guitar simply inspires me every time I pick it up and it's a joy to play. That feeling alone is priceless. Now is it worth it to buy 2 of these guitars one in SSS and one in HSS? Probably not unless they're the only two guitars you own. I already have other versatile guitars with humbuckers so I dont really NEED an HSS Strat, but I love my AP2 so much I just really want another one in a different configuration and color.
@@josephsantana3094 Yeah, that's how I feel too - wanting to play is a priceless feeling. I hear that SSS and see the Miami Blue and I want to pick it up! I need stores to reopen so I can get my hands on one. Thanks for the verdict!
Hi Craig ...here in Brazil we have Tagima brand and that guitars are sold in Us too, ...they are U$ 280,00 and have Locking tuners ....try look at Tagima Stella, Stella H3 or T 805 on youtube reviews...cheap guitars with locking tuners....come on Fender, shame.
One more thing...I don;t know what Fender does to their fretboards..or from where they get their materials...but their Rosewoods look the best on the market...really deep dark (almost black) brown..and super smooth, with little pores...something about them...really cool looking (and also they don;t look dehydrated like for example Gibson, Ibanez, etc)
filling in my list of must haves and why I am here looking at Strats . I did see that Les Paul hanging up there and I have 1 just like it but a Studio. All the same but no binding.
I just bought a fender professional Telecaster in dark knight sparkle finish too. So now I have three telecasters... classic vibe 50s, performer Telecaster in honey burst, and the professional II dark knight. I thought I would sell my performer after buying the professional but after playing them for hours though different amps at my house I am going to sell the professional. The quality on both my American fenders is exceptional...one not better than the other. The necks are only slightly different. I like both but after playing for a few minutes they feel about the same. I think the performer neck is the right size for my hands... but either works fine. It's the tone of the professional that I am not impressed by. The performer sounds very warm and resonant...whereas the professional sounds sterile and lifeless and doesn't resonate much. Even my cheap classic vibe sounds and resonates significantly better shockingly. I think it may be the bridge and saddles on the professional that make it dull sounding in comparison or the pickups...or both... I'm not sure. I really love the look and feel of it but the tone is just not there. I don't think anyone would conclude that the professional sounds better than the performer if they owned both like I do and played them side by side for hours... unless they are tone deaf... it's just not possible. The only thing I like about the professional is the push push... but it sounds muddy in every position except for the middle when using overdrive... so not worth spending more for that one feature in my opinion.
Jack's chops never ceases to amaze! Definitely pushed the towards the old elite I reckon with the look of the finishes, headstock tint and contour heel.
Nice review Jack. Fender is the only builder who revamps and comes out with new models every year. Gibson is a close second. After all these years Fender is finally smoothing out their fret ends? I just bought and returned a Professional Rosewood Stratocaster that had rough fret ends.
Hey guys, everything is perfect, love the guitars, love Jack's playing but I am not too fond of that bell that goes off with the notification on the top right. I like the idea of the camouflaged humbuckers in the thumbnail. For me personally strats look best SSS but if you like a humbucker it’s a sneaky way of having one...and keeps the aesthetics at a glance.
Love your reviews and Jack's playing. But why does no one give nut width when describing a neck? Its so important and so easy to say. For me, the standard 1.65 width is unplayable. So when i hear a fender neck is "more like the Original series," i go oh nooooes. :(
I know you posted a year ago and probably found the info somewhere, but for anyone wondering the nut width on these are 1.685, but I think it's more to make up for the really nice rolled fretboard edges that the player series don't have
@@NotAPacifist825 of course, I've been digging everywhere for that info myself the past week because I was worried the pro nut would feel too wide for me compared to the standard, but I saw a great forum post that explained the need for more fretboard when you make the rolled edges
