I think it's important to note that the armor on the Stuarts is not actually 63.5mm-that's only on the lower glacis. The upper front glacis on the M5A1 is only 28.5mm angled at 49°, compared to the Chaffee which is 25.4mm though angled at a better 60°. Combine that with the Chaffee's .50 cal which all of the Stuarts lack and you have an obviously better light tank which historically replaced the Stuarts.
I often look at the War Thunder wiki for a lot of these tanks to understand the actual armor ratings and how they compare.

They really need like an armour chart for each vehicle so we can see the exact amounts .

And they all come with a bazooka guy you can deploy at will, the ultimate anti tank weapon in the game in my opinion.
imagine if light ger tank crews had panzerschrecks on them

Late US crew also are all equipped with M3 Grease gun unlike other crews with only 1 SMG

@@calumlittle9828 Everything below Panzer 4 F2 bounced off of Chaffee for some reason, its also immune to AA fire upto 37mm so far, idk about the 50mm

M3 Stuarts are awesome! So fast! Sometimes faster than I woild like! Ill tell him to move to a location and by the time I move my camera to him he's already zipping along the battlefield at mock speed! I do wish the M8 scott was better. A more arching fire would be nice. I did have a skirmish in which an M8 scott kicked butt! Helped me take out annoying artillery pieces and mortar positions.

Sir jelly bean, have you been expirience some bugs 9n the game? Or that sone things are not working? Because for some reason the f6 boton dont work and also when you aim enemy in fist person it does not go red, you know what i mean? 😔
