Hey Ethan, Polish fan here. Yesterday i decided to try your fries recipe and it BLEW MY MIND. These bad boys boiled in a little bit of vinegar before frying changed my life, thank you for this recipe!
When I saw your French fry video, I was like, “How does this dude not have more subs?”. That French fry video was one of the best French fry tutorials I’ve seen on UA-cam. Congrats on blowing up a a UA-cam channel, deservedly so.

Hello there! Just subbed after the chicken parm episode. There is huge potential in this channel. You have a winning formula. I'm looking forward to the channel growth!
I'm dead serious, I saw your channel like 2 weeks ago or so and was genuinely confused on how you had 20k subs. And ever since I check your account every day and seeing you getting all this attention now gets me so hyped xD Well done man!
That intro got me man! 😭♥️ I LOVE hearing stories like this. Just beaming with faith, hard work and hella gratitude. So happy I found your channel Ethan! I've been spending so much more time in my happy place (the kitchen) being home all these months and it's been great to stumble upon somebody so into the science of food! Your content is informative, thought provoking and entertaining! Keep going, we're all behind you! 🔪🍔🌮🏋🏾♀️
Amazing journey my man, you really deserve it. Love the videos and it's clear how much work you put into each and every video. 100k is just the start, truly inspirational, keep it up and you'll for sure go so far!
To be honest I didn't think much of your channel at first. But you grew on me after a couple of videos. My first thought was: "Who needs another cooking channel. I already got enough." But video for video I realized that there still is more room for more channels. Your videos are concise, not overly complicated, the science is not too abstract and you're always straight to the point. This has led me to subscribe to your channel. I am sure that there are many subscribers to come and I am excited for the ride.
At first, your name caught my eye. I started watching your videos and saw you grow in a unbelievable rate. That made me happy, because work you are putting in is worth much more subs and gave me some hope that one day, I will have the courage to start my own channel.

Hey Ethan, I am beginning a career as a management consultant just as you once were! I love cooking on my free time. I wanted to thank you for your videos As they motivate me that even in the midst of all the career chaos, there’s still a chance I will be able to do things I love!
I think the best thing we can do for all of the UA-camrs we want to support is simply liking and commenting on videos! (And of course watching the whole video!)
Many props to you Ethan. I put my son through culinary school in San Diego and to this day he constantly references your site an inspirational source for home cooking goodness.

I actually discovered you a month or so ago, and you have climbed to the top in my favorite content creators list, and you are my favorite one that involves food
Your video showed up on my home page, and I'm so happy it did! 😄 You have such an amazing story and you are an inspiration to us smaller youtubers to keep pushing! Congratulations! I'm excited to watch your videos and continue to watch you grow.
This will be a really random comment, especially for a video on a cooking channel, but I'd like to thank you for reigniting my love of reading. Watching this video 4 months ago and, listening to the book recommendations that you made, I decided to pick up the original Mistborn trilogy. To be honest, whenever i watch a channel with a topic that got me curious or interested, i insta sub to the channel even if i havent seen any other video of the same channel. Well it is free to subscribe so why not be generous using the sub button? So yeah congrats dude even though i just watched like a few of your videos, i still support you because i am interested in cooking too. More love for you king stay strong and keep doing what makes you happy! -sincerely, a random Filipino dude
This is the first cooking channel I've found that combines good food + informative content + high production values + a personable host that doesn't have an arrogant/know-it-all personality. Good job man
Discovered you about a month ago and your channel has a differenciating factor that makes it very compelling with the scientific part of your videos. Keep up the great work, you ll be rewarded.
My son discovered you and passed the link on to me. Your cooking style is easy to follow, the spices you use are almost always in a good cooks kitchen. Your instructions are straight forward with not a bunch of unnecessary talk. Thank you for giving me a pleasant food video to watch from start to finish, not to mention some spins on my own recipes. Bravo!
Been watching a while now and am making a playlist of your recipes that I use (or want to use) most. Somehow I never saw this video but was glad to watch it. You sound like a great guy and your content is great. I like your inspirations too! Starting to cook at home was tough for me to learn as I moved into a college dorm and none of my family cooked so I had little knowledge. You and kenji have done the most to improve my kitchen skills and inspire me to be a better person. I hope you continue to grow and enjoy what you do! also big respect for the fitness journey
Found out about this channel like 2 weeks ago and already watched a shit ton of your vids , never seen a cooking channel that is just the perfect balance between entertaining and informative , genuinely my favourite now . Congrats and looking forward for your future videos
Hey, man - good for you :) I am one of the people that clicked on a video of yours that randomly (well, maybe not randomly - I was a LOT of food content) appeared in my feed. I subbed right after that video, and have watched pretty much everything you've made from that point, as well as some of your older content. You deserve all of the success (and more) that you're getting now. I have and have a lot of the cooking books that you reference, and follow many of the chefs that you do (Hello Kenji, Meathead, Joshua, Sam, etc!). Anyways, congrats again, man, and here's to the 500k+ subs that you deserve!
I found your channel while searching for whetstone videos, I subscribed after I watched the french fries videos. The way you described the science behind each step (why pre-boil, why the vinegar, why we double fry), how you had already pre-formated your video into sections, all these are signs of a person that cares deeply about passing along knowledge and have people enjoy better food. Your channel is about to blow up, get ready and keep doing what you feel passionate about.
I didn't even realize that you got to +100k. Congrats! Can't wait to see what else you have coming up in the future. Keep up the great work, it really does show. 😁
hey man, i wish more professional cooks had the same kind of dedication and thirst for learning as you do. your 5 cooking tips nailed it. you would be surprised how many career cooks dont clean as they go or understand/care to learn about the basic science behind cooking. but anyway, congratulations! keep doing what you do, its obviously working. its kind of funny though, i also quit my job at a big 4 accounting firm to pursue cooking, that was 15 years ago. you gotta follow your passion. and never stop learning!
I found your channel yesterday! I have been binge watching since and shared your videos with my daughter. Love your videos and I am sure you will hit one million subscribers soon! Good Luck to you Ethan, and happy cooking!
As of March 2021, you are already at 490K subscribers. Can’t wait ‘til you reach a million subscribers (and more)! You truly deserve all of the things you achieved so far. You are one of my favorite UA-camrs and definitely my number 1 favorite foodtuber. I’m so glad I found your channel and I learn a lot of things from each video. Thank you for your awesome content!
That was so inspiring ! I'm self-employed too and making my dream come true. Since then cooking has become my hobby since my other hobby has become my job. It's been amazing to let cooking become something creative and I'm able to make it even more so thanks to your channel ! Thank you !
I have cooked for years…your videos made it fun again! Your salads are amazing and…somehow…simple to create. So glad you took your leap of faith! All the best for your future!
Good job man, we're all really happy of you, and your channel is really a great and informative cooking channel that's really fun to watch. It'll be nice to see ya grow!!
I'm so glad that I found your channel. You have an awesome content with such quality, I binge watched most of your videos. It's a mix of homecook with a lot of scientific tips. Keep it up, that's just the begining. I know how hard it's to change a well paid job for something that you love do it (Quit my job as a chemist in a big pharma group to become bartender).
Your videos are Q U A L I T Y. Your successes, current and future, are well deserved 👏. I can’t thank you enough for all the helpful tips and tutorials as I grow in my own home cooking journey 🙏🏽
appreciate your commitment mate. I've been blessed by the youtube algorithms, otherwise I wouldn't have known of such a great foodie channel. Much love
I am so glad I found you last week. I was working and looking for something interesting to hear in the background and I couldn't believe how much I learned in the process. I couldn't stop 'watching'/'listening' to your videos. I even already made the tomato sauce pasta you taught us. It was deliciouuuuuus!
Your success is well earned. Your content is highly informative, entertaining, and inspirational. I'm a new subscriber but you've already improved my cooking. The thanks is to you! You've quickly become my favorite UA-cam channel.
well deserved man, I have been following you for sometime and saw your progress/evolution in the last year or more. I've been doing my own YT'ing for just over a year and know what the grind is like (and my videos aren't nearly as good) and man it can be tough so really, great work. You hustled and I am happy to see another persons dreams come true, to the moon man. All the best to you - from a fan! :)
You redesigned my concept of cooking videos and home cooking. Your videos literally brought a lot of inspiration and learning to my family and friends.
That management consulting training really shows in the way you explain concepts in such a clear and organised fashion with awesome visual cues to match. I'm super inspired by this and would love to maybe get the opportunity to follow your footsteps.
I love your videos because you explain why you did this and why you didn't do that. You give something like "cooking theory" and it is something I have not seen in other cooking channels (I don´t follow that much either). Keep up the good work!
Thank you all again. This video made me reflect on where this channel has come, where it is now, and what's to come. I could not be more excited to learn and grow as home cooks together. We'll be back to regularly scheduled food programming on Wednesday, it's gonna be something cheesy :).

Yes! And not immature with his commentary as well! Good on him 👍🏼👏
The best content always comes from people who truly love the content they release. You can really feel the emotion, excitement and love put into every video. Congrats on 100k, onto a million!
What I like about your channel is that you feel like such a genuine guy, keep up the good work
WHen I subbed a few weeks ago, I had no idea how I hadn't heard of you. Here's to the YT algorhythm blessing ya in the coming months, because with the astronomical sub growth I think that's whats in store.
really great work Ethan! You deserve the growth, cheers to hittin 1 mil soon
I will always remember you as the guy who made me cook steak with mayonnaise
Awesome getting some insight into your journey, man! Thanks for all of the inspiration and information along the way! Let the blow up continue :D
Good job man
shoutout the algorithm!
Discovered you about a month ago and your channel has a differenciating factor that makes it very compelling with the scientific part of your videos.
Keep up the great work, you ll be rewarded.
I saw the thumbnail and I’m like WAIT he DIDNT hv the mustache when he started????
My son discovered you and passed the link on to me. Your cooking style is easy to follow, the spices you use are almost always in a good cooks kitchen. Your instructions are straight forward with not a bunch of unnecessary talk. Thank you for giving me a pleasant food video to watch from start to finish, not to mention some spins on my own recipes. Bravo!
Bon Appétit hasn’t been posting, so we needed somebody else to watch.
Milk sponsorships make the money you need to set yourself up for the future.
You more than deserve it Ethan! Your explanations are top notch and your web site is a great source of inspiration for me. Keep up the good stuff!
ah i see, you're also a Fitness Nerd that's why there are low calorie series 😏
I'm glad to be a part of your success, and I'm glad to have you entertaining and educating me!
Congratulations!!! Well deserved! I love your channel.
I started cooking since quarantine! and now I have over 20 recipes in my sleeve :D
So humble, Slavic soul, greetings from Serbia, Chanel is top production Ethan
I can already see you collabing with all the big cooking channels. You'd deserve it. Keep the good work up!
Wow
I just subscribed like a week ago and I'm glad you made your channel grew up much faster
I like your Profile Picture.
Nejire is best girl
I'm so glad that I found your channel. You have an awesome content with such quality, I binge watched most of your videos. It's a mix of homecook with a lot of scientific tips.
Keep it up, that's just the begining. I know how hard it's to change a well paid job for something that you love do it (Quit my job as a chemist in a big pharma group to become bartender).
super super happy for you man! been making your recipes for almost a year now. cant wait to see how far you take this!
Congrats bro, well deserved!
well deserved man, I have been following you for sometime and saw your progress/evolution in the last year or more.
