For the record, Erod, glad you're doing a show. It is something that should be talked about more, as I like overall what it was doing. Sadly, I wish story wise that it was better overall, as it feels like there's some gaps in the writing in terms of overall theme and characterization. I wanted this to be great! And I want more stuff like this. And potentially more of the show itself. I just at the end felt dissappointed at what we got.
Honestly I'd equate Nell using Billy the same way Billy Batson needs the power of the Wizards and the Gods to be Shazam!/Captain Marvel; yes it is super powers through another source but it's still being driven by that person and at the end of the day it's that person and that will that ultimately wins out. BTW I actually got into Renegade Nell and watched all of it over a few days because I first saw this video and saw you mention it was on Disney Plus and went "huh what's this about" and watched the first ep and yeah had to see how the full story went. I do have some minor issues (the show impies Roxy can see and interact with Magic but like that never is really resolved at the end) but it does really work and yeah has a really fun energy towards it. X-Men 97 is really good but it's more for the emotional trauma and drama and doesn't have that earnest sense of fun few live action shows recently have really been able to nail down.
I know nothing about this show but I know that's Orla McCool. Update: Orla McCool is a friggin action star. Who else thought the music composer might be a Xena fan? Which makes a lot of sense to me.
There are a few reasons that I took no interest in this show. 1. Disney+ killed the WILLOW franchise, and I am holding a grudge. 2. The trailer seems to be bad dialog and the "girl boss" trope. 3. The mask reminded me of the show Jack of All Trades. After that, everything else is a letdown.

It's call Arzette: She Didn't Put The PA In Princess Adventurer For Nothing! and the quality of it needs to be such a downright beyond breath-takingly spectacular fun impressive sight to behold for all the right reasons why, especially by today's modern day Hollywood animation standards going forward, it'll genuinely make you believe you're actually watching a official Arzette And The Jewel Of Faramore 2D animated adaptation series, period! Also later on in this series, both Arzette and her longtime drop dead femme fatale sexy gorgeous princess best friend in the whole world finally decide to start a lesbian relationship with each other and they both not only party out hard like it's 1999 at easily hands down THE single top-tier greatest and most epic modern day fun lesbian girls/drop dead Maxim Magazine sexy hot lesbian girls-only 24/7 Faramore rave party and arcade/amusement park pier and beach resort beyond your wildest imaginations of recent memory, but they're also both rave party lesbian cage dancers and beach resort lesbian models as well. I’m on episode 6 right now and I really feel like Disney+ has been making some pretty good stuff now with this along with Percy Jackson and X-men 97
