Bowie was a hero to me, -and millions of people around the world. I got a copy of "Diamond Dogs" for my seventh birthday -and decided to "be a musician" at the age of 10. What I love most about Bowie was the fact that he was so extraordinarily gifted -and yet, exceptionally humble. It was deeply shocking when he "passed". I'm certain that his work will live forever, and I'm very grateful that he left behind such an inspirational body of work and that he was such a great "role model." for an artist. I can't say "goodbye" I will see you on the other side.
Laughing Lark I know, I wonder if he regretted it. My Mum did the same and she did and they were too big too. They did settle in eventually but as one ages, they don’t like your banal teeth and often look out of place...

Kind of like wearing an untied tie like a sash. No one else has ever pulled that off. I just liked his snaggle-tooth look better. Normally I don't. Bowie was truly a designer original. Miss him so much....

No, he thought Iggy cutting himself was funny. There's a bit on the Dinah Shore show where they were talking about that and he said it was funny. Iggy was there and didn't seem bothered though.
I saw the Sound & Vision Tour in 1990 4 times and met David in Detroit, Great great show and the video effects were great. ( go to Sound & Vision from Tokyo 1990 see the whole show)
I saw him in 1990 (Sound And Vision tour) and in 1987 for The Glass Spider tour. I'm glad that I got to see him live a couple of times. I wish I could've seen him in the 1970's... but I was a child back then.

Thing is even when they did it in front of him he didn’t pick them up on it and later on if they asked him how it should be pronounced he would say “well I always thought it was Bowie” (as in bow and arrow) “but people can pronounce it how they want” I think he’d given up at that point and didn’t care that much how it was pronounced. After all it was just a stage name, he thought of himself as David Jones. When he introduced himself he always said Bowie as in bow and arrow too, and then the presenters would still pronounce it as in taking a bow, you’d think people would take the trouble to see how he said it when talking about himself. He did once say it annoyed him when people called him Dave though 😂

I believe that performance artists are individuals and they thoughtfully craft their art and design their work for themselves,and their peers, and they love their audience members thateach performance, they go on the journey together. None of us are the same, and each person's mind perceives differently. I love good music, and the oral practice of singing language. Many illiterate persons love to sing and some of them are very peaceful and bright minded. Without ARTISTS where would one be?

But I really have loved this artist called delroy edwards who was trained as a jazz drummer & now makes dance music; he released music very regularly. Billie Eilish's new album When We Fall Asleep, Where do We Go? is very good to me; her voice is nice I think but I don't know how much it's altered. Another album whereby the singing is good is Teyana Taylor's K.T.S.E. Also I like Tyler The Creator's new album Igor; he's got that sense of narrative similar to Bowie. The tradition of song and singing is so important and needs legal representation in our courts and laws that protect ones ability to freely access music. Many disabled people aren't able to speak for themselves. Some can overcome isolation of phone technologies by listening to music on other devices.. The hard part is streaming is costly and not free. I love music and music lovers.
