I actually hunted down 'Crucial Electro' after going through the scene frame by frame. Managed to get Nick Frost to sign it earlier this year, fingers crossed I can get Simon to do the same. :)

I will never stop being amazed at the behind the scenes of movies, the absolute love that goes into a film that even a small sound no one will recognize or notice is carefully picked and remember by those who made it

I went to see the Cornetto trilogy the other night at the Prince Charles cinema! It works so well as a trilogy viewing - can't recommend it enough!

I thought Shaun of the Dead would be a one off. But when he showed up as Scottie I was blown away, he nailed it! Great actor, good guy!
We need another film with you 2 in it. Shaun of the dead, Hot fuzz, Paul and even the worlds end are all good films because you're both in almost every scene.
It’s called the cornetto trilogy if you didn’t know those three all have scenes with them eating cornetto ice cream cones so they are called that.

This man is a pioneer / visionary
About a year after Paul came out, I used to live in Bristol UK (which is where the two of these went to Uni). One day while cycling to work, I pulled up at a busy intersection in the lane next to another and heard the deep hum of what was an Aston Martin. Beautiful machine and I knew it was likely to be someone popular (I'd seen Johny Depp in a bar the year before). It was Simon this time wearing a flat cap/old man's hat. Window open, I look down in some shock and he turns and looks up at me on my bike. "Simon, I am absolutely loving your work right now," I say to him while the lights remain red. "Thanks, mate, that's really nice", he says. "However! Although they were all cool films, none are as cool as this f*cking car man". He does a typically introverted laugh, the light turns green and he pulls a mini-burn out and heads off. Such a badass.
"Thanks for letting me throwing a brilliant album at a zombie" definitely a quote I would love to use one day

Pegg and Frost are well known for their on-screen collaborations in the cult favourite TV show as well as movies including Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End.
I still remember exactly how validated I felt when Shaun said "I like it". I realised I wasn't a lone voice lost on the wind...
Man, I remember after the second series of Spaced, waiting for the third. It desperately needed wrapping up. It made me so sad to realise, as the years went by, that it wasn't going to happen. Spaced was this team's absolute finest work. So rich and deep and packed with hidden references. Ah, well. We'll never know

I’m American and I took a trip to London back in 2004. My friends and I went to see this film in theaters there and it was a hilarious experience. A great way of being introduced to the country! 😆🇬🇧

This was a lot more entertaining than I thought it would be. Literally a story behind every album they threw in that scene.
Blue Monday is a absolute legendary song to me for some reason I don’t know why even though it’s not from my era of music I just love it
No need to explain why, it’s a masterpiece of synth-pop dance music!
And don’t feel bad about it “not being your era” I’m 23 and love all that synth-pop new wave post punk electronic stuff.

Great movie , became a Simon Pegg fan from then on, as were my kids who introduced me to the video , some months later I think I saw Simon , in of all places Vidalia , Louisiana, or his doppelganger, I would have asked him for his autograph , but it just seemed to unlikely to find a British actor in s small town in the deep South.
I over that he is defending all of his choices in the movie. Really shows that Shaun and Simon are one in the same.
