- Kelly Marie - Feels like I'm in love 1980
My head is in a spin
My feet don't touch the ground.
Because your near to me
My head goes round and round.
My knees are shaking baby
My heart it beats like a drum
It feels like
it feels like I'm in love.
Ain't felt this way before
But I know I'm turned on.
This time it's something baby
I can't turn off.
My knees are shaking baby
My heart it beats like a drum
It feels like
it feels like I'm in love
My knees shake
my heart beats like a drum.
Oh baby Oh baby Oh baby
My head is in a spin
My feet don't touch the ground.
Because your near to me
My head goes round and round.
My knees are shaking baby
My heart it beats like a drum
It feels like
it feels like I'm in love
My knees shake
my heart beats like a drum.
Oh baby Oh baby I'm in love
My partner Dennis and I wore out our shoes dancing to this. Yeah, we called it, "our song". He died in 1990, but hearing this song makes me smile - I can see him singing and laughing. (Wow, after all these years, I just remembered how happy he was ... Sorry, that might be TMI.)
Bless you, Michael and bless your partner, Dennis. Sending you love, Bro 🙏💖
THat's beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing.
Nice budd.
🌹Such a beautiful memory... [{}] hugs💞.. thank you for sharin with Us😌...
Commiserations ,
Monster club anthem 1980-82. Club fave, yes. So tight & so tuff. Good disco mix. Flows well. Thanks, Kelly Marie & crew. Vive les disco freaks ....
My mum was Kelly's babysitter back in the 60s . Paisley lass
1980 just left school 16yrs old gay boy in London first job working on a building site and this playing on radio 1 happy memories 😀 and this is still a great song 🎵
My god what a blast from the past! Love 80s stuff, can't get enough at the minute. The best decade for music.
Hello friend, how are you doing today?
Sharon ,, I was an early 60's Kid andloved everything I heard from before then, right through to the 80's she made my year when I heard this first off
The 70's and early 80's had the best music since The Beatles
With you there dude.
completely agree with you there! I was born in the mid 70's and grew up with all the 80's music :)
I danced to this music when i was in my 20s now im 65 my heart still beats like a drum. My feet are on the ground i walk with a walker. My heart still beats im in love
love it
Good on you bev 😀
Good for you 🌏
I loved your post! 65 too - doesn't it seem like just yesterday that we danced to this?
She is my 2nd cousin
My heart beats like a 🥁 when i listen to this song. Who else?
The dancers make this a tune!!
I can't get enough of this. Love the pew pew noises.
LOL for some reason i love the pew pew !
The singer from Mungo Jerry(in the summertime) wrote this 😂
Wow, what a voice. I didn't really appreciate this back in the day. There was so much good music back then, you just took it all for granted.
PLEASE don't let this be 40 years ago!! I was in high school and everyone was listening to Kelly Marie!
I was 16 in 1979 when this song hit the airwaves. I was hooked immediately! I remember when the DJ's at the Discos would play this song. Everyone was up on the dance floor. It has a great beat. One of all time favorite disco songs!
I was a kid of 10 at that time but loved it like today. Moreover, Disco music is my favorite, always forever!!!
I would call this hi nrg
I was 16vin 1979 too. :) Great times!!
Hit the charts August 1980
I loved it immediately.
90s baby and I absolutely love this song. Reminds me of my mam, miss her terribly 🥺
Its from the "80's"!
as performed by "Kelly Marie and the Gold Bulliennes"
its actually an 80s song
The choreography is over the top. Mind BLOWN !!
I came out of the closet in 1981, and this was my very first, favorite song from the Disco, in Louisville, KY. For years, this was my signature song, and I literally sang it while touring ancient gardens up in the hills above Firenze, Italy in 1985. Ah, what a memory.
This is just such a great disco song. Underrated!
I with you Salazar ☝️😎👌
All the great memories. Where did the time go? Sure felt like we had forever in the 80's I really miss those days so bad! I wish there were an 80's club that played nothing but the 80's music!
I bought this record for my first ever really true girlfriend wherever you are now Gail I hope you have found happiness and love.
Dawwwwww!
Mr Peel Gail is now in prison
@@ronaldcustard4636 Dick Head!
You’re a sweet man and I love your post and I hope she (Gail) is doing great too wherever she is‼️👍🏼🙏🏼 Ps: This was such a jam on the dance floors in Fort Lauderdale gay clubs back in the 1980s‼️💃🏼🕺🎶👯♀️🎵
aw how sweet.
I love this song, its so happy and upbeat, and still listening to it in lockdown 2021 💕🌏
We used to dance to this all the time, loved the disco days!
i know im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a method to get back into an instagram account..?
I stupidly forgot the password. I love any tricks you can give me!
@Ezekiel Gordon instablaster =)
You can't get more DISCO than this
Especially when you find out it was written for Elvis Presley but he died before he could record it...
...apart from D.I.S.C.O. by Ottawan, you mean... :-)
I remember dancing to this like a fool when I was 12 ish.. I LOVED it 🥰.. oh and when you get older being near someone who you’re nuts about makes you feel the same as you did at 15..it never leaves you..❤
Omg those dancers are so fabulous!
These guys were some of the hottest club dancers in central London and wherever they went. The one on the right inspired me during the late 1970's and into the 80's at the Hammersmith Palais and during carnival at Acklam Hall under the fly-over which passes Westboourn Park Station. Peter Francis was also his dancing double-act in clubs. They were the ones who got everyone dancing. Pinky (the dancer to the right) was his name, still dances to this very day. Peter Francis went on to do the movie 'SCUM', and that's the last I heard of him.
Terrible get ups though
They were, that's definitely something we don't see today.. ! 😂
Another timeless song, takes me back to sun. Night at Dimentions ' in Cleveland.
Just such a happy song, written by Ray Dorset of Mungo Jerry(you could actually imagine them doing a jug band version of it!) love it and a great performance from Kelly Marie, love the kick to the camera at 2.00. I loved the follow ups, Lovin Just For Fun, and Hot Love as well. Then later stuff like Breakout, and Don't Let the Flame Die Out were fab too.
Their version is available here on UA-cam - it was a B side for another of their records in 1977, and it sounds quite different. The song was actually originally written for Elvis Presley but he died before he could record it. Kelly Marie and her producers picked up the song and felt it would be good with a real disco production.
One of the best songs ever! I still move my hips just listening to it after sooooo many years!
Play this song on the jukebox in the pub all the time ! Brilliant Just fab Thanks Kelly
There’s no comparison to music from the 80’s! LOVE IT!
What a weird thing to say. There's nothing 80s about this in any way. It has 70s disco stamped all over it. It might have been released in the 80s, but it's not "80s music".
@@kimmern999 🤦🏻Can’t you just enjoy it and like the compliment I gave it?🤦🏻Some people…
@@enchantro Sorry about that.
Fantastic song and Kelly-Marie is a beautiful lady both inside and out.
This is a classic song that's stood the time of history and played at my teenage youth clubs
Fantastic. I was 10 years old and I loved that song
Fun fact, this song was written by Ray Dorset from Mungo Jerry for Elvis.
blast...I was going to impart this info
Thank you, love these lil nuggets of info
i called my daughter kelly marie after this lady loved this song in the 80s
The 1980s was a excellent decade for music and film's
It was a BIG hit in Spring 1981 in NYC and Philly (Gay clubs.)
April 2020 who’s listening 👂🏼
I'm 18 and I love this💜
That would be me
Always here for this xx
right here miss thing! texas represent
yeh baby, 56 and still enjoy it
How good is this in #2024. Good lord brilliant xx
This brings back the best memories - loved the 80's!
Still the 70s, tho
@@jerrygil1965 absolutely...this is still the 70's even though it's 1980.
When I was four years old I won a dance competition to this track at Hengrove football club, Bristol UK. I didn't even know I was in a competition, that's how cool I was back then.
This song was written for Elvis. Once you imagine Elvis singing it, it all makes sense.
IK elvis can sing but I think he would of butchered this song
Kelly owned this.
Yes, Mungo Jerry wrote this for Elvis in 1976, hoping it would give him a Disco hit ...but Elvis died within a year and the song sat unused in the studio until a producer asked if Kelly Marie would use it.
Mungo Jerry wasn't happy but agreed and was surprised it became a number one!
@@jimtuite3451 Almost correct ! Written by Ray Dorset OF Mungo Jerry who of course were a group. A lot of people make this mistake because the group name sounds like a person.
@@davidprovan5650 haha yes of course BUT I met him once and he actually introduced himself as 'Mungo Jerry'... I guess he'd grown tired of explaining lol
Theres no other decade that can touch the 70's and 80's
50s
... apart from the people of the 70's and 80's themselves, lol ua-cam.com/video/fAJfOcnYYEQ/v-deo.html
Erica possibly the 90's as there was some cool stuff in that decade. Sadly the 2000's, 2010's and 2020's aren't as good as the 1990's in my opinion.
Okay boomer
@@lawbringer9857
Wow, did you make that up yourself? I’ve never known acerbic wit like it! Go and face the wall now dear, the grown ups are talking.
Brings back so many memories fresh out of college hanging out at zippers in T town dancing the night away being in love so many good Dancing clubs back then clubs where u could really let loose an enjoy the night without a care in the world. I don't know how many times after clubs closed i went to what they called after hours club an danced till the sun came up.I wished I could still do this today but age does catch up with u can't shake a tail feather these days. Lol
BUT WE HAVE MEMORIES AND TO HAVE THOSE
I AM ❤ GRATEFUL 🙏
i hear this and i'm straight back to being on the motorway near birmingham coming back off holiday on the first day of the football season 1980-81 beautiful sunny day life felt glorious, unlike now
Coming back from France in Sep 1980 with the Overend School, Whitehaven, languages trip to France. Sadly this school is no more, but I do remember hearing this song as the coach went through Kent on the A2 and again on Radio 1 on the M6.
you were younger then
have to agree with you there ,im one who loved it when we were shit!!! its great now but that buzz, the terraces, banter ,has all gone ,cant sing songs cant boo a player for fear of being ejected ,cant have a fag ,fuckin plastic glasses that spill drink everywhere but yer gob - still we do get to beat united regular now :D :D do miss the old days tho :/
just sounds great
@DH1 1 early high energy along with born to be alive and funky town
Every time I come back to listen to this song my mind asks the same question, with a voice like that how did she not become a Superstar?? For sure someone dropped the ball here.
RIP Tommy Mac. This will forever be your jam!! Hope you’re laughing at this crap in heaven
lol
THIS WAS WRITTEN FOR ELVIS BUT PRESLEY PASSED AWAY RIP
REST IS HISTORY AS THEY SAY !
love the dude's dancing moves. great tune.
The first 'great' pop single of the 80s, still one of the greatest. I was NOT into this kind of music then, but when something gets you, it gets you. Fantastic party song and Kelly Marie was both hot as the interior of the sun and as cool as ice. Always love hearing this.
Great Song! Ahh those disco days.
Most of my friends from back then are passed away. So sad. No one to share the memories with.
I don't care what people think, Disco is fucking good!
Oh my oh my, so very warm and exciting memories wit this one, when I was young and innocent, love this track!!
Always loved this one back in the day...never knew what she looked like till now...thanks for bringing me back
I remember listening to this in 1980 on 7" single I was before my time I used to breakdance to it in my mates house while he helped his dad push start their allegro one sunny day we drove to Clacton with this on the tape deck happy memories except for the car overheating and losing a wheel.
I always loved this song. First time seeing her sing it.😃
Drum sound: "beww beww//beww beww//beww beww//beww beww"
My favorite thing about this video is that she’s looking in the wrong camera 40% of the time! Great song when you need a strut around your living room too.
Well it's the fault of the video cutter, to always use the wrong material, from the "wrong" camera. But maybe he thought it's "stylish", who knows..
it's done on purpose to portray her intense eyeball movements.
I'm having a proper 80's night tonight, the good tunes just keep coming :-)
Great song from a great era! When I listen to Kelly's voice without looking at her, I keep think it sounds like Marcia Hines! Wonderful stuff!
Fantastic voice, what a range, one of the songs that is still locked in the memory from the 80s
Fantastic
2019 and still here x Love it x
Callie Brooks she’s my auntie 😂 going out for dinner tonight with her ahahahah
2020 and I still love it
Happy days great feel good music
Beautiful music love it Kelly 2019
I was 20 in 1980. For me, the best year in music. And this song was one of our favourites. Thank goodness we never saw the video 😂
Had this song in my head all day at work and it feels so good to get home, blast it out and watch those funky ass disco moves. Kelly Marie - still rockin' it in 2019
Bring back the 80s
Those were the days. Simple.
There's nothing SIMPLE about that , you try writing one.
Agreed
Thanks
@@stephenoneill2844 try singing it .she had an amazing voice.
you lot must have shit in your ears
Love it! The club I used to go to, this was the closing song before the club closed. Danced, many many many times to this song.
"Who's that lady with my man" Underrated classic by Kelly Marie too.
I LOVE MARIE!❤LOVE THIS SONG! 2022.💕🎶👍
The best song of that era EVER. It brings me back to my youth and so many great times.
I bought this 12" single on the back of seeing her at a roadshow in Colwyn Bay 1980! It wasn't even in the charts .....went on to be the THIRD best selling UK single of 1980! Outsold both ABBA number 1 and each of Blondie's 3 No1 never mind David Bowie and Dexy's! BOOM BOOM indeed!
One of the best Disco songs ever, massive hit in 1980 and even today 2024
Yes, and it was written and originally performed by Ray Dorset from the group Mungo Jerry.
I remember this like yesterday I was in awe of this beautiful goddess topping the charts and dominating the disco scene all over the world lolx 😀❤😀
I love her voice and her look🤩
Great haven't heard this song I ages thanks for u tube
I never knew about this song. 🍒🌿 Greetings from the Philippines
A UK Number One ! Penned by Ray Dorset of Mungo Jerry. Catchy disco sound, this would have been a good entry (though possibly wasted) on Eurovision, where it could have possibly won?
I remember when this hit the charts - time flies!
Those men ... soooooo funky, I love this song ... and their moves. Gold!
Love her voice !!!
Why I find out about this masterpiece and beautiful Kelly in 2020/2021???????????????????? Kelly enchanted Me in 0.1 second!!!
She comes from Paisley, Scotland.
I’m from Paisley she is my 2nd cousin
Ahh I loved this in "Imagine Me and You"
Janet Vonnik love that scene and love the movie

Yass, this is what brought me here!!
Janet Vonnik Yep I'm imagining you n me, what say ?
love and peace! Arthur Joy!!!
I love her voice!
Came here after watching KM duetting with the late great Irish singer Joe Dolan on the song Sister Mary in the 70s. Their two voices went really well together. Love from NI. 🤗
Me and my gay brother Rory loved this we played it till it wore out
I remember my mum had this song on one of those mash-up CDs. This came out 8 years before I was born. Still bangin' though. ~boogies~
This is great song in the 8o bring me back good memories on the disco floor love this song ❤❣❤❣
Hello friend, how are you doing today?
Every radio station played it ...while our holidays in UK in 1981. At home in Germany it was a great discothek hit
I love this song , makes me happy when i hear it.
Super disco muzic 80's.Kelly Marie my Favorite!☆
I'm not a huge fan of disco but the lady's voice is incredible!
Don’t get music likes this the 80s was best era for music 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😁😁😁
Roller-disco in the 80's 😎
Yeah 🤔😳🙄😱👍🏼
Ice skating listening to this or Knock on Wood.
Classic disco 🕺
Blimey, some really insulting comments about the singer here. UA-cam-comments - the only place where people seem to drop all pretenses and reveal exactly what they are truly like! And people wonder why the world is as fucked up as it is! btw, loved this song, a real blast from the past.
Mojo Jomo I hear you Mojo Jomo 🤣🤣🤣 Takes me waaaaaaaay baaaaack classic tune & the Dance floor was packed.
We where 16yrs old & under age but we still managed to get into our local night club hahaha... Take me Back to the Day's Please lol x
I had never heard this song before. I liked it. I wish I was half as smart as the idjits on you tube think they are.
Im well over 50, rock my PJ's by 6pm and at times dance in my lounge cranking out similar phat beats per minute...oh yeah
Twas shite in my opinion 😉
It's Social Apocalypse...The Population Bomb went off 40 years ago...
The dancers are brilliant!
This song was CRAZY COOL and AWESOME the gay bars! Classic dance track! Would love to find the remix! The 80's were indeed "all that"...and more!
This was my mum's fav song.... she used to do the washing up to it.... a great memory
My favorite disco song
