Hi Ben, Just wanted to comment that it looks like you are getting the most out of your MBA experience which is great! It seems like you’ve cultivated a strong network of friends and you are really getting the most from new experiences. This is a great video and thanks for posting this!
Ben, cool video thanks. Looks like you're nurturing a strong network, decompressing, and maximizing your exp the way you had wanted to when you decided to do an MBA I recall. I imagine my exp would look a bit different if i were going to use a top MBA to recruit IB for example. Anyway I recall your goals for post MBA were entrepreneurship continued, what are you doing for summer internship then? Interesting how paths converge btw. I came from the online business/marketing/e commmerce world and now want to get into finance/banking for a bit for deal exp (so kinda opposite of your trajectory) and then maybe mid market PE that deals with internet brands. Have another friend who did Wharton/Lauder a few years back and she loved her exp as well.
Thank you for sharing! Hosting dinner is most interesting part cuz you got to keep praticing your culinary skill. And night clubs never let you down when you are twenty or thirty..ha
u r literally what i hope of becoming.....currently in 1st year....aspiring investment banker.....later will get out and start own business...also want to do mba in usa
Whoooa, my mug made it into the video haha. Domestic Ben in purple gloves ftw 😂 Thanks for answering my question! I suppose to take another angle after hearing your response, and knowing that you said you only got one shot at business school so you try to take advantage of the social side, do you ever find yourself questioning the usefulness/value of each event when on the other side there is the business? Or is the answer the same as in the video whereby committing X number of hours to social events doesn't affect you because you know you'll still make it up? I guess where I'm trying to come from too is seeing you go from working ridiculously long hours on rl in the past (I'm sure you've mentioned doing 24 hr days a few times, and late streams) to having a more reduced schedule now; has the adjustment been good, have you reconsidered the amount of hours you used to work, or do you get anxious at the lack of time? I hope that makes sense haha That's one hell of a busy schedule. Like, there must be no time decompress and relax! Also found it funny that the gym/work started strong and then fell away after mid-week haha. Glad you're enjoying the whole experience (and top marks for the editor - there musta been a lot of footage to trim down/together)!
i just try to enjoy life when i'm having fun and know that there's a lot of time i'll have to work after school so i don't sweat it too much if i dont get too much work done. so just trying to strike a balance as best i can. but yeah some weeks can get pretty crazy like this one and so i might stay in an entire weekend after a super busy week
Who is paying for all this social networking outside of school? Did you incorporate all these outings (not the unexpected ones) when you were budgeting for your masters?
Hey Ben, I’m an incoming summer analyst at JPM in the SF HC group. I really enjoy your videos and they helped me a lot with my recruiting process. I’d love to hop on a 15 min call at some point and hear a bit more about your experience if you have anytime in the next few weeks. Thanks!
Hello, Ben. Hope you are doing well. Is it possible to contact you? If so, How can I contact you? I Want to ask several questions about MBA and Masters. Thank you!
this was a hectic day of the week? this should be the best buisness school in the world? dude you didnt even learn like 20h please you need to explain why it does look super easy to graduate from Wharton
i dont need to explain anything to u lol just do ur own research into business schools. yes it is super easy to graduate imo but doesnt mean u dont gain a lot from the experience. it's not an intensely academic experience

Wow! I met your friend Jackie when she came to Wharton SF on a panel for prospective MBA students!
