As a Mets fan my thoughts on what I think about other MLB fans being upset are we don’t give a damn cry about it. Only difference is we didn’t defer any of the contracts
You're overexaggerating, The Mets in ACTUALITY haven't signed anyone significant but Juan Soto. There's speculation that they could sign or acquire several guys, but I doubt they will get them all - and from what I hear, Nolan Arenado is NOT a fit. Their starting pitching is still in shambles, and their bullpen isn't much better as it stands today. Even if they do resign Alonso, they still won't be WS favorites over the Dodgers. I keep hearing that the Mets "broke baseball" - NO, the Dodgers ALREADY broke baseball - the Mets are just trying to somehow keep pace with that runaway train!
As a Mets fan myself, the MLB hates the Mets.. if the Yankees signed Juan Soto, everyone would be saying how the Yankees made the best deal but because it was the Mets they are talking negatively about the deal... Hope the Mets keep spending and grabbing all the great play and tell everyone else to SUCK IT.
I only hope they develop a farm system and a culture that breeds success like the Dodgers. Gotta back up those deep pockets with deep trust in the clubhouse. Hope Soto and Lindor can team up.
Many Yankee fans make the rest of is look bad, and everyone is exploiting these handful of loud people and saying "Yankees fans are losing their minds." I'm not. As a long time fan in the Bronx, I'm glad they are not giving him that contract. Rarely does a long term MLB contract work out for any team, let alone the Yankees. The Yankees weren't great last year. I was actually surprised they made it as far as they did. They were glued together by Soto, and relied on him and Stanton to make it through the playoffs. If the Yankees signed him, they would have gotten too complacent. Now, this can light a fire under the team, especially in light of the WS. They need help all around, not just a superstar player that got hurt last year, and in a 16 year contract anything could happen. 16 years of money being tied up to one guy. And clearly he had no loyalty to the Yankees, and that's cool. He did what was right for him. Best of luck to him. I hold no ill will, he really helped the team for a year. The team needs to be built around Judge and getting him the support front and back. This is great for the Mets. They should be competitive each year and the subway series can mean something again. So, congrats to them. I hope it works out for them and he isn't a shell of himself in 5 years. But, I'm happy the Yankees won't have that burden. Soto isn't worth the richest contract in sports history. He great, may even go into the HOF, but he is not worth that money.
It’s a damn shame when a grown man so upset over another man that he doesn’t even know🤦🏾♂️ that’s too much energy and emotion over someone making a decision about his life .
The Yankees have pretty much won Free-Agency since there was free-agency now the fanbase is mad because management balked on matching a deal for 5 million more and one year less? They should probably be mad at Hal and Cashman not Soto the one year with the Yankees was the only multi-titled team he ever played for the Nationals have one which he was part of and the Padres have zero so perhaps the lure of all the Yankee titles didn’t mean as much to him as the fans thought it should?
And what the dodgers, sandiago yankees been doing for years?????.and now the mets can,t do thats ...B.S...😂😂😂😂😂 SO L.F.G.M..AND PLEASE EVERYBODY STOP CRYING😂😂😂😂😂BECAUSE THERE IS MORE FOR OUR METS.😂😂😂😂
I dont want Alonso back. He's a .220 hitter who only hits homers and not much else, is beginning to decline and is a below avg fielder. Not when a FAR better and younger hitter in Vladdy will be available next offseason. And his good friend since 13 yrs old is none other than Juan Soto. Let Pete walk. You dont pay guys for what they've already done. And I dont want a clearly diminished Arenado either.
Idk what your on about. That sounds awesome for developing talent. Vientos is 24 and Alvarez and acuna are young, not to mention Ronny is also gonna get some play. They are in a really good spot
I could care less. Where is the outrage for the Dodgers who can defer money? Where is the outrage for teams who continue to put poor rosters on the field. Some of the most profitable Ball clubs put are no where near competitive. Look at the Oakland A's a joke a franchise (Used to be very respectable 30 years ago)
Yes they are. MLB and sports media have a clear anti-Mets bias. Notice there was NO professional criticism for the Dodgers, while the Mets were "ruining baseball" when they signed Scherzer and Verlander. Still gonna be called the Cohen Tax, despite the Dodgers playing games with their payroll. Billion+ deferred, and ONLY NOW, after LA got their trophy, are they getting legit criticism....proof that it was only ever not OK to "buy a championship" when the Mets were the ones doling out the cash.
@@koningklootzak7788 you just said the biggest lie to yourself on-purpose + you just ignored the ENTIRE playoffs, where SOTO, did BETTER, than everyone else = that's why he LEFT NYY, since they CHOKED, with the best roster/highest-salaries = now he's going to a better team, who needs him to get to the next level
@@HarriTheBear Lindor had better numbers and is the better shortstop. Freddie getting old, Vlad will put up better numbers. I am LOVING IT!!
THAT FAN SOUNDS PISSED 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Only because the Mets signed him, typical a hole Yankee fan! Sore loser!
Yes and as a life long Mets fan I love it
Cool for the dodgers to buy a ring but not the Mets? Gfys haters. Lfgm.
I’m just happy it gets the attention off the dodgers
The same thing the Yankees and Dodgers have been doing for years
Yanks haven’t done anything for a long time
@ no they haven’t they just buy their championships by taking talent from every other organization since the beginning

Yankees and dodger fans have been buying World Series’s since I can remember
You already know a Yankees fan jinxed by saying “I think he’ll stay”
They said that for Aaron judge that he will sign with the San Francisco giants
Pete, should ask for a Suite as well
Mets going to war with EVERYONE. ❤

We gonna be even more Salty whatching the NY MUTTS get bumped from playoff Contention in Mid-Jun😂😂

I wish a guy like Cohen owned the Jays.

World Series favorites? With the dodgers. The Mets aren’t even the best team in the division. Stuck in the moment.
mets got a more clutch and intimidating duo (lindor/soto) leading off 1-2 then the dodger ohtani betts
