I don’t think this is a demon hare or something, especially since I think a Angel hare with this design was shown in the second letter video. My theory is that this guy is “filling in” for Gabby, which is why he’s so bored and apathetic sounding. He’s not evil, he’d just really prefer to do his own job.

Im coming into this rather late. I think Angel Gabby is a special case. I think she... ultimately she cares about jonah, obviously enough to coach him to kill his father, create an alibi and destroy all records of it ever happening. The new guy is Nathaniel... Gabby's Boss. in the second letters video the end has gabby holding a letter from Nathan asking her exactly what she did.
As well in one of the letters videos there is stained glass of gabby and 2 other angel hares. Only Gabby has her eyes open. I think this means she's the only one taking a position as a "Guardian" very seriously and directly involving herself... but that may also ultimately be the problem. I think by the end of this we will see her fallen.
As well... jonah kept a streaming going for 5 months... he's becoming obsessed

It's weird to see the story continue. Their meeting was a perfect (ambiguous) ending and easter was a good farewell.
But now I have to consider that a guardian angel had some six months, every day, to teach someone to fend for himself; and that's on top of what she schemed in his youth.
I wouldn't judge that new hare on appearances. Especially since tape 1 was all about "meeting new people doesn't have to be scary". We'll see what Jonah learned from her.
Id also like to point out that we were told *by* Francis not to expect any Demon Hares to appear to us obviously. They aren't gonna show up as demons with horns.
How Jonah talked at the end of the last series and what he's saying now in this one, he's really not okay. Hasn't been in his adult life, has he? That desperation for a patient, kind connection like that I empathize with all too well...
This really is a fantastic bit of storytelling.

@@boodesultan12 See, it's not exactly a parasocial relationship though, which is the crux of a fan mentality. He did speak with her and she had developed a direct relationship with him, but it's definitely obsessive. From my own experience, if you've been bereft of connection for a long, long time and either form or reconnect with someone that becomes dear to you it's so, so easy to lose yourself in it. Become carried away, utterly jealous and suspicious of other people they're close to. It's an immature frame of mind that can only be broken with experience. I hope Jonah can break it in the next season...

So the thing with coping mechanisms is that sometimes it's hard to let them go even if they're no longer helpful in our new situation, or even what may be worst - they become hurtful.
Little Jonah who was left alone at a very young age to fend for himself or had to deal with potencially abusive father, found great joy talking with Gabby all days and nights and it was what probably saved him during his childhood.
Now however when he's all grown up and has stable home-life, he became obsessive with first finding out the truth (which is fair) but later talking with her all night and when she disappeared having an episode streaming non stop for 158...
Even if Angel Gabby was the thing that helped him survive before she no longer works as a coping mechanism and became unhealthy and possibly dangerous for Jonah
This new hare doesn't have the feet floatiness that Gabby has! Look at him! Feet flat on the ground!
I wonder if Gabby had to move houses or something, or she's off doing something very important, so the new hare is house-sitting for her for now.

So Gabby didn't come back, and yet there is a new angel hare on the flied.
He very much is rather cold and give the mood of "I'm just here to do my job" vibes.
I wonder if his name will follow the conventions of the other Archangels, considering Gabby is supposed to be Gabriel.

And judging by how desperate Jonag seems to be; I'm thinking she left on purpose for some reason. Maybe as a test to see how much she'd miss her or something else. And for this new guy; maybe it's a way to see how he'd deal with someone new

I wonder if Gabby noticed Jonah got a bit obsessive. It's good to have friends you can rely on, but it's important to also remember that your friend doesn't exist solely for your sake and comfort. So maybe she took a step back to let Jonah spread his own wings a bit?

While francis stated that other angel hares exists, this guy seems off, his wings are dirty, he looks weirdly bored of everything. I think its either a exiled angel hare or even worse. A demon hare in disguise.

At first I thought it was Jonah’s dads spirit haunting the series. That usually how a lot of these go, kind of like silent hill it lures you in, and then exposes your sins.
However I’m sort of glad it didn’t do that. While I’m not entirely convinced he has the best intentions for Gabby, I do think he at least wants her to be happy same as Jonah does.

the fact that he cried at the end really shows how much he loves gabby/gaberiel.
Jonah is coming off as kind of a clingy child who lost their teddy bear here, and since he won’t calm down without it they gave him a replacement. Which he hates.
I know that theres a deeper story but its funnier to imagine that Gabby was so creeped out by Jonah’s obsession that she had someone else fill in for her.

Once Jonah remembered he heeded his angels lessons and I don't think he would want to forget his precious guardian,his overseer.
My original worry was that Gabby was going to become enraged with Jonah, for always wanting her around, when shes trying to do her job, protecting other kids, since in my mind, I would bet that guardian angels work, kinda how fairy god parents do, moving on after you grow out of the need for them, and while I am relieved, I nearly had a heart attack, seeing this new bunny, thinking it was a demon bunny.

I feel like Jonah’s obsession with Gabby is a little unhealthy for an adult. It was nice when she was getting him through his childhood, but he still needs to have an adult life.

The immediate, viscerally negative reaction of Jonah towards Zag will never not be funny to me. You know I dont think this is a Jackalope like I had originally thought there was going to be. But I dont think this is just another Angel Hare. With all the christian messaging that is in this thing, I think we should start looking at the Bible to figure out who this mystery hare is. Its funny because I remember that their is a rumor that The Angel Gabriel and The Angel Michael have a sort of rivalry. And while that isn't true in the actual Bible, what if it is here?

there's something almost sinister about jonah's assumption that he 'owns' Gabby in some way--that she's 'his' angel, specifically, and not her own individual. It's definitely accurate to the kind of unhealthy, neurotic dependence abuse victims form when they're not used to kindness and are paranoid about people leaving them... oof.
