I find it interesting that they had no clue that it wasnt even broadcasted on TV, like they had no clue technology improved massively and probably thought it was still the age of analog and Video tapes. Also interesting that Zag intruded on the mail reading, Francis has absolutely gained sentience compared to season 1 where he was seemingly stuck as a character and glitched out when the 4th wall was broken. That makes me think either the huuuuuuuge amount of time Jonah left the broadcast on had an effect on Francis and caused them to "wake up," or the arrival of Zag sparked sentience in him.
Whoever voices this Friend Francis fellow must've had a lot of fun with this episode. It sounds like he really enjoyed himself. As always, wonderful work by the East Patch. Not to mention a pleasant surprise appearance from "new pal!" Can't wait to see more of him.

So I know we all can make the joke that gabby has a sonic scream, or a kamehameha, or a power word spell, or using Kris's signature ACT ability, however, interesting fact, the Angel Gabriel, from what ive read, has a purifying ray of light ability, and judging from the drawing from francis, it seems to be a combined form of the ray and Gabriels ability to "announce the word of god" that a few other comments mentioned. Wow this series is actually getting me to do research on angels, the creators mustve really did their research, props to them! Wait... I like when the art shows realistic depictions of the animals,, it makes it feel like its lifting the veil to something else, that the look of the show itself is the mask for actual beings

If you notice, this Letters video is the first that doesn't have Gabby's sleeve and arm holding a quill. Really reinforces how a subtle change can hammer home a point harder than screaming it! Edit: Also Francis can DRAW. Little guy's must have gone at the paper hammer and tongs for 1:42.

I'm still caught up on the idea Francis is an actuary. That's not just a boring made-up adult job: it means he predicts potential risk. I'm in an extremely similar, more niche role, and my go-to joke is that the government expects me to be a psychic who can see the future and STOP it from happening. Francis spends his days examining evidence and going through mathematical equations with the purpose of being able to measure the chance various [bad events] will happen, how much harm is it likely to cause, and *the best ways to prevent it*. That's... really, really penitent to the story we've been following.
The addition of a new angel hare is so interesting, I really thought there were only gonna be 2 characters in the entire series but Zag is so mysterious and well, serious that fits perfectly with Francis and if he ever meets Gabby I think the interactions will be really interesting too.
I really like the detail that Francis is supposed to be seen as naive and to not think so critically about his place or the world around him, but then when he says "I'm an actuary." so nonchalantly... Something about that hits so much closer to home than I thought. And it gives me the feeling I need to keep digging.

"I'm an actuary." That got me. I love the idea that Francis is useless at most things and needs help very often, uncertain and in need of support and assurance... but he's great at working out statistics.
OH! Francis is literally a devout Friar. His faith was so great, an angel answered his call for aid! And he humility so great, he was permitted to be in their presence. As he is humble before them, he is allowed to spend time with them on a casual basis, as he'd never take it for granted. Or, at least, will never take Gabby for granted. Since he's an Actuary, we could guess that he is a professional Seer. Whether it is through visions or just pure numbers and dedication, I don't know. Also, he's clever. During the credits he complains, because he knows Zaggy isn't watching the credits.
I showed this series to a friend and they asked if it was a creepy pasta. But I said, "No. It is an Angel Hare Pasta." Apologies... I dunno, I reckon I just figured Francis seems like the sort who'd appreciate some pun-based humor.
If Francis is something of a stand-in for Jonah, it makes sense that he (Francis) is an actuary. Trying to assess risk, what's going on & how to handle it seem to be what both of them are doing (even though neither is going about it the right way much of the time).
hmm Actuaries are problem solvers and strategic thinkers, who use their mathematical skills to help measure the probability and risk of future events. They use these skills to predict the financial impact of these events on a business and their clients.

Zaggy sort of reminds me of Castiel from Supernatural, just his matter-of-fact-ness and serious attitude nd straight-to-the-point ways.
