Hey there Lily...Our goal for Christmas/Hanukkah is to have 1000 for our boys. We are already at 960. Plus an extra two hundred for clothing for winter. We primarily buy gift cards for our 11 and 14 year old because they claim they want something and in the end they never use it or play with it. Over the years we discovered that boxes would sit unopened or they stopped playing with the item after the first month. So we decided last holiday we would do this and they were happier that they had cash to spend themselves. It teaches them to really think and budget money on what they really want if it's something they will continue to use.
💛💛💛 fantastic video! I wrote $700 awhile back as our Christmas goal, I don’t think we’ll end up meeting that because we haven’t been able to save anything yet. When I start getting paid from my business I’ll be able to contribute towards it, so time will tell how much I’m actually able to save before the holiday hits. Honestly I’d be happy/content with $300-$400, that’s about the amount I had saved up last year.
I almost grabbed those, but I sort of like the chunkier ones to write with! I thought this would be thicker and show up better haha, maybe I need to wear it down!
My daughter was so happy to see a new video. She said lily yay I love her and she’s so beautiful 💛💛 with me and my kids going through hell and back because of her dad, I’m glad we can watch UA-cam together ❤
For Christmas gift giving I write down who I want to give something to and a general amount I want to give them. If I know the item I want to give, I'll write it next to their name and the known price. For the teens/tweens, I always give gift cards, which vary depending on their age (lower for younger). Sometimes our family does a Secret Santa with a money limit, but I always sneak a little something for the kiddos 😁
I don’t know if you have an Auto Zone or O’Reily Auto Parts store but they usually have a computer they can stick in your dash to read the code that’s being thrown. It’s not always conclusive but sounds like a thermostat issue and probably a radiator leak. I had this happen to my Accord.

It’s crazy, my car is a 2017 with 30k miles on it. There’s no way it should be anywhere near breaking down completely - I really really hope the guy was right and it’s a simple (yet probably expensive) fix!
@@nicolelilley270 luckily, at least when I was there, he never said anything about the transmission!! Fingers crossed it doesn’t end up being that - he quoted me roughly between $500-$1000 but he assured me it wouldn’t be an atrocious number🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
It’s always good to have a buffer saved for toiletries - bathroom supplies, cleaning stuff, really anything that you’d consider as “toiletries” if I need to spend money on it, I definitely want that money saved up!
@@LilyBudgets I'm trying to decide what my goal limits for certain envelopes should be. Some envelopes seem to accumulate that I'm not spending from often so I want to see what is a good amount. Thanks.
@@fawnandfae I don’t necessarily set a goal amount for any of my envelopes that aren’t bills - if it’s got enough in there, maybe just skip stuffing it until you need to! The budget can be as strict or as loose as you need it to be💛

We have 4 kids and a few extended family members we buy for plus we do stockings. So we are planning for $1200. Hopefully that's enough.
Sharpie does have a fine line tip. It’s as thick as a ball point pen. I use that myself.

Be super careful. I had similar issues with my old car. Ended up being transmission issues and my car just stopped on the highway 😬

They said I need to replace a seal somewhere, he showed me but idk really what he was talking about haha. Getting a more specific diagnosis next week💛
