I like the way that you’re setting these binders up I originally had 13 binders! Because I need a category envelope for every single situation that I need to stuff I have slimmed my binders down and I thought I was comfortable with that and I was going to do away with some of my binders and then I had a second thought and I started to grab four more binders and do it all over again lol! The one thing I did see rainbow Budgets do you was she had an annual yearly binder like you’re talking on with one of your binders for all her things that she wants to stuff and get one year ahead on that way things like subscriptions and other items that she wants to pay in full for one year is done with that. The other thing I saw her do was she chose one thing at a time that she wanted to fill that was highest priority on her list and once that was completed she would move onto another category that way she can complete one category much faster than trying to complete five categories at one time. But I do love your concept and I think it’s gonna work fantastically
I have 13 binders, too! Sometimes I think I’m crazy, lol, but I need to have separate envelopes for every single thing I need I need to budget for. One envelope for “gifts”??!! OMG! No way. I have like 10 for different people and gifting situations.
@@cmac3602 I think when you break it down into different envelopes like that then it assures that you don’t miss anyone that could be possibly on the list and plus you can break it down like that and then put smaller amounts into each person‘s gift envelope until you decide when you want a cap it off. I do think this is a smart idea it looks very complicated to many but those of us who require categories and envelopes for each category really do have a way to organize that makes it actually more simple than what people would actually think it would be
Hey, Jordan! I just wanted to recommend checking into some of the tax prep places in your area for tax classes that usually take place in the fall (I highly recommend H&R Block since that's where I took it and also where I worked for many years but I'm sure other places have good programs too). The one that I took was very in depth and hands on so I learned a ton of the rules as well as tips for what to track with businesses, etc. They will teach you how to do your taxes and you don't have to plan on working there to take the classes. It's for everyone and well worth the money. Even if you pay someone else to do your taxes, it's a great way to understand the dos and don'ts, especially since you have a small business. Or check with whoever will be helping you to make sure they're going to be teaching you along the way what to do, what to track, what not to do, etc.
This makes great sense. You’ve inspired me to reboot my cash stuffing and budgeting process. I am going to revamp this weekend and kick off August like this. Weekly, monthly, yearly. Brilliant!
This was nice and informative, wish there could be more of such videos from the budgetting community. This alerts viewers on which categories they need to add.
I do like how you divided things into time I don't think I have ever seen anyone do that but it makes so much sense, specially if you have many categories
Great video. Love the different binders. You gave me an idea to start my daughter her own binder. She has envelopes for allowance, allergy meds, clothes, sports (soccer and basketball) ,hair, room decor, glasses / contacts etc. She just start high school so now we have social events. I like shifting things around. Dick's usually has a soccer package for kids with a deal on shoes and shin guards.
Hi Jordan!! I too break my binders into what I call “Interval Expenses” ex: monthly, weekly, semi annual, annual. I just posted a video explaining how I began budgeting and how I want to move forward using this way of thinking! I’m so excited to see how it works for you!!! Sending love your way💗
I love how simple you make it to remove the labels and change the envelope label name. I am always rethinking my categories, but don't want to constantly take off the small letters that came with the amazon binder because it's such a hassle 😅😅💓💓💗💗💕💕I enjoy your revamping videos so much, thank you for sharing
I love you and love all your videos Jordan!! I would like to see a money reshuffling video tomorrow I‘ve been so into these videos recently I think I watched all the Bill exchange/money reshuffling videos on youtube😂😅 you are doing amazing keep going!!🧡
I have my binders set up in a similar way. I only have two, long term and short term, it works well for my lifestyle. I agree that we all have to do what works best for our family. 💜🌻
Absolutely love seeing the restructuring of binders! I need to do mine as well, sometime soon so this is great inspiration since it can get overwhelming 💜💙
I love watching your videos!! You're amazing! And omg!!! I love your nails! Those designs are beautiful!!! 💜💜💜💜 Much love for you and your boys from Chicago ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm new to your channel. Please don't feel that you're holding us up by doing what you need to do. If I get busy I can pause your video, but usually if I sit down to watch one of your videos I have the time. Please show what you do. I'm learning. Thank you for sharing. I am loving your channel.
I love the way you set up your binders into different categories with how things are due. I have set up my dollar savings binder envelopes into quarterly envelopes
I love all of your videos especially this one. It inspired me to actually sit down and write down categories that need to be saved and where categories should be. Now I just need to save for binders, sleeves and category labels to begin this journey. Thank for your time in making these awesome and informative videos.
I think breaking up your binders like this will work great! I LOVE the mermaid everything! 😂 I bought some of your trackers and I seriously love them. Can't wait to get more stuff. 💕
We are a month into cash budgeting and loving it so far. Only one binder for now since our main goal is to pay off our 0% interest credit card, but hopefully in January we can move to more savings challenges and add a few more categories. I love this setup though! I like splitting things into short and long term goals 💙
I find your videos very informative and I really like the way you arrange the binders. I'm just starting out and very excited to get my finances in order!
Very different enjoyed it very much. I like how you change up things. I get bored to of the same thing. I’m on my 3rd budget planner in a year. I’m using Erin Condren but will be changing to The Budget Mom. I also am doing my budget set up electronically. Something way different. On to the next video
I really like the idea of the yearly binder, I think I'm going to have to try it! I started laughing about birthdays. I have 4 kids and there’s a bday every 3 months so a quartet binder is a perfect idea as well! I am loving all your new ideas and I also just got some of your new trackers, so excited to start using them💜💜
Had so many categories and they weren't getting filled, no $ for allowance or ran out of budget. $ was left in bank that tended to get spent.. Numbered the most important, #1, 2 etc priority funds..then labeled short term needs, interm needs, sinking, extras/gift cards. And combined house/car maintenance for bank. Emergency and extra $ stays on hand. When bank funds hit a certain limit i pull $ out into matching category envelopes. Also calculated each mthly bill for the year. Adding on hand money to pay bills all at once or nice to have for mth ahead without it coming from each check. Like the idea of buying a GC for say wm beginning of year and using that as kind of pay ahead. Sry last thing recommend start a retirement nest egg cash on hand fund asap. 401k good, SS incomes better, cash always saves the day and feels secure.
We don’t have cable but we do have iptv which we pay yearly so that, Walmart+, Paramount+, Amazon, and AAA we do early. I pay for them in April with my tax refund that way I don’t have to worry about them through out the year and also this way (in my head) we get them free because that’s money not coming out of my pocket.
Totally would love to see if you can make make your category’s that fit a A5 envelope instead of A6 , like have options if you get me . Love how you prepped and showed the basics

Where do I buy some of these labels
