I will award them points for realism on that. I have been watching you since the begining and I am confident that you will figure out a way to make it fit your '"not a fighter pilot body". Ive had my H2 over 2 years now and its a blast for sim racing. I want to upgrade the 2 motors in the future. There is an instruction on how to assemble the rig in electronic pdf file i believe. In there theres a link to web address to download the app for balancing the rig. Pretty easy to assmble.

I have had a H6 for a few years. I have a sliding seat and the stick/wheel and hotas moves with it. You can see how it works on my channel Wayne's Stuff.
I purchased the H3 back in January and, like others, had to wait a considerable amount of time because of QC issues with the welds. Like yourself, the documentation and videos for installation were seriously lacking. I have the Brunner yoke and rudder pedals so I had to do some reconfiguring the center of gravity because of the weight in the front and had to move the center of gravity to the rear. I have three 40" monitors, and like yourself, wished I could have mounted them to the DOF. All of my axis work fine in the the configuring and tuning software but in the airplane I have no yaw or rudder motion. I've only flown in MSFS but I've tried several airplanes and haven't found one yet that gives me yaw. Thank you for your video on this. I would be interested in hearing about your monitor mounting system as I have my mounted to the wall.
You are the first poster I have seen who mounted a Brunner yoke to one of these. Do you get much flex? How stable is it on the platform? I am wondering how well these support a Brunner yoke or Fanatec DD wheel base. Thanks!
@@Gulf76 I have the long Brunner yoke and had to make my own mounting. The Brunner rudder pedals are to long also for their mounting plate so I made my own mounting plate. The yoke is very stable with little to no flex. The biggest challenge was moving the center of gravity rearward to offset the weight in the front. I had to drill new holes and mounted my seat back as far as possible. Lucky for me when I did the balance check it didn't require anymore tweaking. I did have a lot of issues with that software that I downloaded from their website. I allowed them to control my computer to see if they could fix it but it took another update to the software before I could use that part of it. I enjoy the motion platform. Hoping someone can give me some suggestions on the rudder/yaw axis. I works fine in the SRS software in the setup, however no aircraft so far moves the yaw axis on the platform. I can send you pictures of my rig if you want.
@@jackwilliam3675 Thanks for the reply! I hope you get your yaw axis issue resolved. Let us know what it was causing it when you do. I’m still on the fence on whether to get the 3 or 6. Less balancing issues for the 6 I believe, especially P6. The extra DOF’s would be nice but the loss of pitch and roll motion is a huge trade off, especially considering the additional cost of the 6. Also, good to know the Brunner controls can be mounted securely on there with modifications.
I am wondering if you feel the bump as the the plane's front landing gear loads into the catapult shuttle during a carrier launch in DCS? Also what do you feel union a carrier landing when the arrestor hot catches? I want the H6 but doallrs are tight at the moment and I can upgrade later but at an additional cost. Would you spend your hard earned dollars on the H3 and save for a potential H6 upgrade later or or do nothing now and keep saving until you can get the H6? I am seriously considering this unit and I am also at the upper weight limit (295) at the moment but I am losing weight slowly but consistently. (Down 35 at the moment) I have no experience with motion platforms or VR flight sims racing sims but I am getting into it. Any advice or recommendation are appreciated. Thanks.
Thanks for the great review! My H2 is arriving in 2 days and I’m super excited. You mentioned that the motors can be turned around and be on the back of the rig and this will increase both pitch and roll? I will definitely be doing that if this is the case? Otherwise I have a feeling I will need the SFU upgrade. Just wonder if it will make constructing the thing harder. Keep up the great vids
Hey man loved the review. One of the best h3 reviews I've seen honestly. I have to ask, I only fly helicopters and have spent an unreal amount of time researching. I am ready to buy and willing to spend... However I have tried a few and I didn't get to test in a helicopter. My question for you is, do you really think the yaw at it's current price is worth it to have an h3 over an h2 for only ever flying helicopters? I didn't see it used much in your video. I have revisited 6dof simulators from various companies and all the videos of helicopters non really impress me too much. Seems the h2 would actually suffice extremely well. So in your experience with the h3 and flying helis in DCS and MSFS, is that yaw reeeaaallly needed? Thanks.

Anyway if you need something more of a convincing Stewart platform is the way to go with 500mm+ stroke and speed 500-800mm/s you get room to combine effects from different axis and get some extreme feelings)
@@UkeJaviright but there are two actuators moving in opposite directions on 4 actuator system. One going up at 250 and one going down at 250 for a total of 500.
What is the motion sensor you where talking about. I have just made a rig and are in the settings up stage
Also can you let me know where you heard that you can reverse the motors? I can’t find much on it
BTW do you live in TX. I saw that you were at the Sim expo in Houston. I could not make it this year gonna try to make it next. Thanks
Hey bubba havw you since upgraded gearbox to sfu? Change anything for you?
I think mine actually came with those. I haven't changed anything out
Hey man loved the review.
Thanks.
Simrig sr1 best motion system with an affordable price
lol, I always thought of you as a elderly grandpa type. Imagine my shock lol, anyway, nice setup, bro!
Ouch!! Lol doesn't help that my wife calls me a dinosaur lol
I'm wondering how the P3 compares to a 4 actuators system in a similar price range like ERacingLab which is basically sfx100/150. My bet on actuators.
Looks like ERacing moves 50% slower, speed is 25cm/s this 50cm/s
@@UkeJavi they claim 75cm/s for P series, meanwhile 25cm/s is more then enough for the 150mm stroke. But while actuators rock solid with zero movement beside what intended, DR is not, that's why you won't get convincing feelings like flying from it.
Plus, those speed numbers are unloaded. Adding a load causes the speed to tank. 500mm/s (max) & 30nm (max) might be 50mm/s @ 20nm load. Whereas 250mm/s (max) & 100nm (max) might be 200mm/s @ 20nm load. In that case the actuator rated twice as fast is actually four times slower.
How did you attach the emergency stop button ?
Double side tape lol
I got real technical with it lol
@@OverkillSimulations I just improved upon your scholarly research, I used a piece of Velcro. Now I have the ability to hang onto the ejection seat button when I have a juvenile pilot.
Great observations, I'd love a DOF, but I think I'd need to get divorced, first
As all those cables would drive my Mrs mad!!!!😂
Normally I have them much cleaner... I'm very OCD with cable management so I totally get that.
They were in that state because I'm getting ready to pull it out for a few weeks lol
These are way cheaper than a divorce. Just remember to say “sorry” , it’s way easier than “please” 😂
Uhh. Idk
They raised the prices now to a point where its a nah. The price point to ratio of what you get was perfect now its like Next level racing prices.
Nah p3 is king had the NlR … nah
Looks like P6, not H6. Definitely not $2,500 model. More like $4,200 shipped to USA. Worried about weight then wants to add monitors... hmmm
Absolutely not
@@SosaKinkos absolutely yes
@@tomjones5974 please count the 6 actuators that are definitely there bubba
@@SosaKinkos don't be silly. Do your homework on P6 and H6 before talking nonsense. P6 is professional version of H6. It has stronger actuators and costs more. They look very similar to casual observers.
