After playing Overwatch since its initial release back in May 2016 and having a love-hate relationship for the last 7 years. I have decided to play Team Fortress 2 for the first time and it has been an eye-opener!
Join me in learning the game and lore together with the community!
#teamfortress2 #steam #tf2
The one major thing that i cannot recommend enough when it comes to the how it feels series: is to please not forget the "extras" videos in the playlist, They don't start happening until after Engineer, but they are all great, and usually contain just as much effort as a lot of the regular videos. How it feels to play Demoman's extras alone is probably one of Lazy's best ones.
Thanks for the heads up! Will keep an eye out when we hit engineer 🙂
@@GuyinthetieLive Thankfully, all of the extras are in order in the playlist there. But to be very specific: How it feels to suffer is right after engineer, Sniper extras after sniper, Pyro extras after Pyro, and finally, Demo extras is the last video in the playlist at the moment.
TF2 competitive is community hosted. You need to find a team and learn the formats (6v6, highlander etc.) and figure out which league you'll play in based on location. (etf2l, rgl etc.)
Regardless comp is a rewarding experience that teaches you about the game a lot more than playing casual for a decade ever could. And you'll even get medals in-game as a bonus so that's cool lol
Valves comp is garbage unfortunately. There’s no banned weapons which is important for 6v6 plus its full of hackers if you can every queue into a game.
Also just wanted to say I think it’s cool you played the game before watching these because having a little experience helps with context
Yeah thinking the community comp games will be best experience
There are different competitive tf2s. There is the Valve competitive game mode that hardly anyone ever plays. You are allowed to use any weapons you want there. Then there is the 'real' competitive run by the community and 3rd parties like tf2center, rgl etc. They have white lists where certain weapons are not allowed.
So just a note if you try Valve's casual it will give you a taste of what competitive is like but its not considered the 'real' competitive scene. Its basically just regular tf2 but 6v6. Also be ready it might take you a long time to find a match since not a lot of people queue for it.
Maybe I try the unofficial community ranked then
@@GuyinthetieLive I am really enjoying your journey into this game. I have been playing for almost 9 years now and you are already a better sniper and scout than I am. Cant wait to see what is next. Keep up the good work:)
if you're gonna level up your skill in scout sooner or later your gonna need to git gud with the scattergun getting those sweet point blank meatshots
Lazerpupil is right. Scout zooms around the map and picks off every player who is vulnerable.
Especially in comp Scout is super dangerous
Scout punches down confirmed?
Petition to get Tie to play competitive. It's a whole different beast and I recommend community comp servers.
That would be fun! Just worried I'm still far too scrub for them matches
When you try to start with comp in tf2 be ready for bots, noobs or tryhards and normal players.
Can not be worse then OW
@@GuyinthetieLive I guess so. Btw tf2 casual players are not design to teamwork. Which is kinda crucial in comp.
When people talk about tf2 comp, absolutely nobody means valve comp.
