ABOUT THE VIDEO:
When the first vehicle in the convoy suddenly blew up, the Russian mercenaries knew something was wrong. Their objective, to capture an oil field in eastern Syria, was supposed to be a routine mission. The enemy they knew by then would have fled long ago at the sight of 500 battle-hardened Russian and Syrian fighters. But instead, the attack had come to an abrupt halt and explosion after explosion shook the ground. It wasn't long before AC-130 gunships, Predator drones, Apache helicopters and fighter jets were circling over the battlefield, pounding the attackers from every imaginable angle.
What the Russian forces didn’t know was that the oil field was not defended by any fighters, but by American Special Operations Forces, supported by the most powerful air force in the world. And so, within a few minutes, the routine mission turned into hell on earth - and into one of the deadliest engagements for the notorious Russian mercenary group Wagner.

The funniest part is, not even a conventional fight.
This is what we were able to conjure up without putting a single soldier on the frontline.
I just imagine how much worse this would have been if even a single American sniper was given the green light to engage the convoy after the initial bombardment.

Everyone likes to talk about how many tanks Russia has, but everyone doesn't think about why the USA has the largest number of fighters and bombers in the world, because they beat tanks.

Their tanks and operating costs are a lot cheaper though too. I'm sure the army would love to have another division of them, but it's just too expensive when weighed against it's necessity.
If we had Russian tanks, we'd probably have a lot more.

Operation Praying Mantis got pretty "proportional" awfully fast. The US had a hard time pulling punches because all the bored cold warriors knew they were finally going to see some action.

You do realize both of those wars ended for us because of politics people love to bring those up like we didn’t tear those fuckers apart with significantly less casualties granted when we did pull our troops out of Vietnam the north completed their objective and the south fell now we’re great allies if you really want an example of the US military(really was the fucking CIA) look up bay of pigs invasion, oh and look up the fire bombing of Japanese cities before the nukes dropped if you want to see what it looks like when we actually want to annihilate the enemy with no mercy
@@subhamsekharpandia2694No they didn't, they actually tried to settle down a government in Afghanistan but the people in charge basically grabbed some cash and ran away leaving a power vacuum that the Taliban eventually filled.
Ground troops with tanks have no chance against air power, you own the skies you own the battlefield, there is a reason they didn't send Russian fighter jets as they would easily be taken out by F-22's
Or the F-16s or the who knows what else was up there.
What that video fails to mention is that the USA only had about 40 troops at that location. Kind of an important thing to know. Now you gotta realize it was about 40 vs 500 and brings a whole new perspective.

@@devincorns409 Yeah, very possible. Depending where you look the numbers go between 30 & 50. About 40 seems to be the normal. I think certain people are counted or removed based off possition. Like cook, etc.
Plus an unknown number of SDF troops. Every website you go to just says "and SDF troops" after it lists the American numbers and units.

All of the things you were stating about the Wagner group are post Ukrainian invasion, during the battle of Conoco fields, all Wagner PMC were Russian Vets. with combat knowledge and training, after the first 6mo. in Ukraine, Wagner started recruiting from Russian prisons to bolster their numbers. Quantity over quality, most of them have ended up as worm food.
Russian vets under the direction of Moscow....

If the government is paying the soldiers whether it’s thru a contract or as employees, the government is responsible for the actions taken. In my mind that is I see it
Everything you stated is correct. Moscow is the party cutting the checks. I don't think Wagner was told they would be facing U.S. soldiers, when trying to take that oil field or if they were lied to about how dedicated to the position they would be. Moscow wanted to see If U.S. troops would be a push over. What they found out is that any military force planing to bang heads with U.S. forces is only tired of living.

I know know guys on the ground that we're probably maintaining the American aircraft in waiting for their call to action. I heard that many of the pilots were happy to engage but still felt sorry that they had idiots leading the forces into a slaughter.

Wagner is possibly the most insufficient military Russia could bring to the #1 fighting force in all of Earths history 🇺🇸🤘
I give some Wagner Mercs a 3 out of 10 for effort tho. And that’s bn generous. Wagner are considered ex-criminals without proper (by Russias standards anyone is a ‘criminal’ who doesn’t follow). So I have to give some of them respect and respect for the fight. Russia uses people for human shields.
US uses strength, determination. We don’t abuse people in the way Russia did

Wagner was a better fighting force than the Russian regular army. You can see it aganist Ukraine. Neither Russian regular army nor Wagner are a match for the US military. The USA military is far superior to the Russian army. The USA is better trained, better disciplined, has better weapons, is more technologically advanced, and has better command. Theres more reasons, but that's to name a few. Russian army is a joke....😂
I would also put China in the same category as a joke. They have not fought anyone since WWII and didn't do worth a damn then. Their equipment may be updated but is still based off Russian junk.
Well yeah half their military is gone cause of Ukraine war, but they still have more Nukes than America but not by much.
