it can work for stains or dirt or blemishes that arent tough to get out. I like using a cloth though because I can really put pressure on in with my finger to break down and eventually remove the blemishes. But q tips are soft and Im sure could work for blemishes that arent to tough
you prolly dont care but does any of you know of a method to get back into an instagram account..? I somehow lost the password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
I just bought an old pokemon collection off someone and the cards are very much played/dirty. This is going to help so much to bring them back to life. Thank you!
Thanks for video! I followed the same steps as you described and got my cards pre-assessed. Without all the dirt, black dot marks, and just some whitening (which is inevitable), it is now worth sending them to PSA.
Thanks dude! I had a spec on the holo part of a shadowless charizard that came right off. It was stressing me out because I thought it was permanent damage lol.
@@MannySimoneCardsalso I have a metal charizard that sells for $800 right now and it had black spots on it and Im about to get it graded so thank you for the help 🙏
i got an alt art latios and latias at a garage sale for 50 bucks because it was in a really bad condition. this was really helpful because now that it is clean (except for a bit of whitning) it is almost flawless! thanks a lot
You just saved me 2 1992 Amada Son Goku hologram cards. Literally raised them from a 4 to a 6 (they have scratches - it is what it is) Best 19:27 minutes I spent this year :)
What also helps with cleaning the cards is another card that can get dirt off very easily. To do this, take some warm water and a cotton swab that is slightly moistened and then go over the dirt with the second card (newer energy card) over the dirt and can loosen and remove it without causing any damage.
Thank you for the help 🙏 I dont collect pokemon but i respect the way you take your time and effort and the love you have for your hobby. Me myself are getting back in to collecting my old marvel cards and some need some love and care and thanks for the help.
Oh man that's amazing, thank you for the comment. I recently bought a lot of the 90s Marvel cards and I love them. This cleaning method should work on them as well
Thank you so much for this because I've got loads of old cards but they were really dirty so I've managed to clean them really well and they nearly look new
I need to admit, last week I dug out my base charizard 4/102. Was fairly good condition, maybe PSA 7/8. But it had a huge dirty mark on the back. I wiped it with a baby wipe. The big dirty mark came off. But so did with it a tiny bit of the blue colouring. My card is probably now a 4/5 PSA. I don’t know if I could have prevented the colour coming off if I was more careful. It could be the dirt was just too bonded onto the card. At least I hope so. I really hope I didn’t just lose £800+ of value because I was wreck less. Cry face.
Hey at least you have your childhood zard. Just got back into it after selling my near mint for $75 with zero idea of the market lol. Got another at market but doesn’t feel the same
I have a pretty expensive card that I now just realized I have and it wasn't mine to begin with when it arrived to me the man had put markings on it basically wrote on it in pen is there anyway I can remove this or is it just permanently like that now
Imo, it's better to place the card on a flat surface with a flat cloth underneath, because when you try cleaning it you could avoid the card from getting bent especially when using water.
what the hell are those black dots ... my cards are mint but i have so many of the dots its driving me crazy and im too scared to try to clean because the cards i have are rare
Great vid, Man i just noticed Everytime i took my cards out the top loader i left multiple little grease smudge on the top back of my cards and there visible!! Can it be fixed?? Idk why i always keep my hands clean
Your hands can be clean but your body naturally gives off oils so it's not your fault lol. But when taking out cards, hold your fingers pressed against the edges to avoid finger prints on the card. Always have a soft cloth, that you would use for glasses, near by. That will get off smudges. You could always wear gloves as well if you wanted
What if you got a tiny little bit on the right side edge? I was cleaning my Zapdos and, the side isn’t bad but it has that look like the promo top cards have? Will this hurt my grade? And about how much ?
This video is gold. I just found my stack of 250 pokemon cards from 1999 a couple of days ago. Including 5 shinies. Let the restoration begin! #blackMOLDisAbit..! too messy xD!
Dose this work with full art cards. I have a zekrom full art gold card that has a green spec on it. I don't want to damaged it or leave a big smudge on the card.
Oh I understand the hesitation. I have never tried with a full art. I would try it out with a soft cloth or a cue tip but do it very gently with a tiny bit of water. It may take awhile depending on how soft youre applying pressure. Apply more pressure if you feel the card can handle it. I don't know what the green spec is so it may or may not come off
I tryed it for like a minute and no results. Its stuck in between the texture of the card. It made the spec a little bit bigger so it did nothing I'm going to try it with a q tip for awhile.
i was recently going through some old cards I picked up from a thrift shop when I found a damaged holo card worth around $35 (if it wasn't damaged) I'm gonna try to clean it up and see what I can do to get it looking better but it looks pretty sad right now.
@@MannySimoneCards I’m going to try this with a shadowless Charizard and I’m not gonna lie Manny I’m actually kinda scared to attempt this. Do I avoid holo at all costs to be extra safe, also have seen something about using windex on the microfiber rag rather than water? Bad idea or tryable?
@@BoagJackson Hey! You can go on the foil with the soft microfiber, just press gently. Don't use your nails or press too hard. The soft fiber should not scratch it. Just shine it up with water. Never heard of using Windex but I wouldn't apply chemicals to a card. The water works alone. If anything if you want, try the Windex on a holo card that isn't expensive

Absolutely. But depending on the brand, it may be too smooth. But definitely try. The black cloth I used in the vid had some tooth to it, little more grip
@@MannySimoneCards I think I might have asked that question wrong. I was asking about the wipes that are already wet that comes in a package. Are those okay to use?
