She did try to escape with Bali Bey but got caught and he was almost executed. She also was a princess who didn’t have much of a choice in who she’d marry. The point is Mahidevran is a lousy hypocrite.
It's also a show that really leans into allowing their outfitting represent the characters and their personal arcs, so a lot of them have super defined sets of styles that are fun to see.
You need to watch the behind the scenes they put a lot of work in creating the costumes and jewlery for me it's one of the show's strongest aspects beside the great acting
