I just spammed it with fire arrows.
I had no clue how to fight him... So I set it on fire for eternity.
You can use fire to overheat it and destroy all weak spot or use electric shock and do the same. There is note bok in game just use it and do good strategy.
I beat the last one without problems just by circling and firing at his weapons. THis game isnt really hart
Corruptor and deathbringers are weak to fire. They're not made in cauldrons.

@@vercing1324 i think nope. I tried it in UH and you need to hit it with so much shock weapons before it gets stunned. In this video, the DB gets stunned with just a couple of shock blasts

Coming late to the party with the PC port and a particular lack of dodging skills, this guide was a game-changer for me. Before I found it, I had tried to replicate the fire arrow tactics but always failed to dodge and got stupidly killed more time than I could count and had to switch to Easy difficulty in the Grave Hoard fight. With this guide, I feel confident enough to try a hard playthrough. I'll do it on New Game+ tho :D

Guys, what they don't _(and usually FAIL to)_ explain is how powerful their ammunition are. The player has a *modded* Sling with very rare (purple) electric coils to improve the electric bombs. Also, the player has two of the same bow, probably *modded* with similar coils to the max in order to improve tear from the shots. You cannot and *_will not_* see the same results without similar or better modifications on your weapons.

@@bumberchuff If you want some easy guaranteed purple mods, head to the Scrapper site in the Nora heartland to the far west. Save at the campfire, then run to the area with 4 Scrappers and two machines they're scrapping. You will get at least greens every time, but purples 75% of the time. You can commit an hour or two to this one day, warping back to the campfire and repeating the process. Great moddded start.

By far the best video all I have been watching is people killing the final boss on normal difficulty and then complaining how easy it was to beat it.. But this trick definitely makes it a lot more easier

Six f***ing tries!!! Man, i was like how tf do you kill this thing...barely got it...killed it on my 6th try last 30 seconds...shot the bihh in the freaking “eyeball” thingy at the top of it’s head. It seems that on the Ultra hard (which i was playing) the little vents weren’t coming out as frequently for me as they should have per try...ugh...ty...! This way worked much better!

@@rachaelapodaca649 I think games like Horizon reward people taking their time learning mechanics, gathering resources, practicing against several machines and learning the weaknesses of said machines.
"Can't be too prepared." Rushing in the final fight without proper preparation isn't exactly smart. I had all allies available and with the best non-DLC weapons for the whole final mission on the first playthrough and it was still difficult, if not exhausting.

Cool tactic. It took me until about half way through ultra hard to actually get much more then the sharpshot bow. Nearly torwards the end till i learned to use shock, fire, and frost.
Needless to say i just circle this beast. Shoot at the guns until they come off and he dies.

holy hell, i never knew that its vents will show up when it's stunned/shocked?? i've always thought that you can only do it by overheating it using fire arrows/bombs, so i never think about trying to shock this SOB. is it the same with corruptors?? they can take a pretty long time to overheat (my fire arrows burn stats is medium-high, iirc +50% mods on adept bow on UH NG+) and show its single vent, not to mention its overheat bar will quickly go down after the burning state is done so you need to constantly shooting it with fire arrows.
Another way of making things easier is using the Tearblaster weapon to tear off the lasers and machine guns. After that, I guarantee it will be SIGNIFICANTLY easier, and you have a better chance of destroying the cooling rods and all the other weak points. It took me ten tries to realise this and by then I was so ashamed of myself. Did it on ultra hard.
That thing may as well have been made of glass. Aloy just stood there throwing whoopass at it!

I like freeze over shock just because of the damage multiplier. I clearly need to get a better handling mod on my bow to get 3 arrows so quickly. Cool video. 9/10 HZD "tutorials" are really bad players. You're definitely not.

I know you did it long ago, but wich four weapons do you recommend to use? Sorry about my bad english :s
Typically I'd go with all of the shadow weapons, so for the bow I think I'd recommend Shadow Sharpshooter since that's the one that does maximum damage. Stick on damage increase purple mods on that and you'll do fine. Also recommended is the shadow blast sling, for this particular enemy focus on getting mods that increase electric damage. That's what I can remember, hope it helps.

This does seem to be the best way to bring down a deathbringer. I've played the game 6 times and always used fire, bombs, and the triple arrow sharp shot bow to kill it. I never once thought about using electric bombs. Thanks.

Yea, I know about fire arrows and the glint hawks. They are tougher to bring down like that on NG+ Ultra Hard. I use fire and triple shot arrows. I hate those things when you're fighting other machines, LOL. Could you make a video bringing them down on Ultra Hard while in a fray like at the hunting ground with tramplers? Are you referring to the next to last major fight where you had to hold the walls at Meridian against the machine horde? I actually did have a video on how I did that section on Very Hard w/o taking any damage using the silliest tactic of taking out the first couple of DeathBringers even before the "official" fight starts down below. [ I haven't tried Ultra Hard, but I am curious ... in NG+ is the map still opened-up so that you can just fast travel to the main mission locations or do you have to walk to the area in order to activate fast travel?]
on NG+ ultra hard you have to buy the golden fast travel pack again or craft/buy regular ones, light campfires and clear the map by going to settlements/areas or overriding tall necks. You have all the same weaponry and the same armor except shadow stalwart because it's part of the main story. Everything is way more expensive so have lots of shards. I found myself getting low on wire a lot because my favorite weapon is the sharp shot bow so I had to buy wire. Off the top of my head, I think one sharp shot arrow is like 15 shards. Every machine is way more aggressive even striders and grazers. They take more ammo to bring down too. No one heavy strike even for watchers, it takes two. Shield weaver armor is not as OP either. Machines spot you easier too. You have to revisit cauldrons for over rides. I'll try to look for your video.

How much shock does it take to stun this Deathbringer? I see you doing it in about 5 or 6 bombs. I tried to do this with my Banuk Champion Bow with shock rating of 55, which is pretty darn good considering the max value on ultra hard is like 75. I had to hit it with 24 to 30 shock arrows to stun it (8 to 10 triple shots). So, my best guess is that it takes about 1200 shock or so to stun it. But you seem to be doing it with about 500 total shock. Did they patch it to make this fight more difficult? If my numbers are correct for the current version of the game and you're playing in Story Mode difficulty and you have your shock rating maxed on that sling to 225, that would take 6 shots. Thus, in my opinion this seems to be a great strategy on Story Mode difficulty. Easy through Very Hard would take 8 to 9 bombs on a maxed out sling or 6 triple shots on a maxed out Banuk Champion Bow. So, I suppose you could make that work. I couldn't really make it work on Ultra Hard though. But, this is a lot of conjecture on my part and of course just my opinion. When I fight this dude on Ultra Hard, I find it much faster and easier to just use the cover provided and pound its weak spots with precision and hard point arrows.
Those slingshot bombs leave an elemental field on the ground which can add up the elemental bar (or at least prevent the bar goes down quickly) if enemy stay in that area, and since deathbringer is a very slow moving target it works even better. Also notice that slingshot in video has a shock value of 118? He probably goes all-in for shock coil on that weapon.

I don’t know if I’ll be able to do this, I’ve got peanuts in terms of high damage ammo that isn’t hard point arrows, regular arrows, tear blast arrows, sling bombs, and traps. I may have to reload a save and go back and grind to make sure that I have plenty of ammo and potions and herb based heals

Strange question. The last machine for me to scan to get the trophy and I cannot find them anywhere, are corrupters! Are they only foind in story related quests? Checked the desert area with the Tallneck and can't find any. Is there any way to just run up to them from a good distance and scan them in the final battle or kinda hard with all the action that happens in the end.
Yeah, I think Corruptors can only be found in a couple of main story quests

Honestly a good strategy. Before I just took it out by dodging and hitting the weak points and setting it on fire, which worked well but definitely got me hit a few times lol
That being said I can pretty much destroy the bosses in a few hits with the new game+ weapons
How is it possible that you can see the Deathbringer's health bar on Very hard mode?

Fun fact: by scanning HADES the focus will tell you that it's a horus Core. He Also corrupted the deathbringer. This means, he had acess to core of cauldron or facility inside of horus. So if we were about to find horus he was found in (one with working computer Core) we could override it and use IT to overide any ancient machine

It's actually pretty easy: use the rattler gun to shoot the turrets and the machine guns and you'll lower its health in no time. Make sure you dodge a lot

Sure, it's not necessary to have the triple shot perk but it'll take a little bit more time and more resources to create ice bombs to stun.

I beat this boss with just the bow and arrow, on my second try, did with 10 seconds remaining,
I'm at level 32, and don't have even half of the stuff you have. No shock arrows or freeze stuff. Wow, this mech is hard with limited stuff!

So I grind down to the third of the Deathbringer"s health, then a Sawtooth appears out of nowhere, kills me instantly, THEN the game decides it will save my fight and from then on I continue everytime with no health, a sawtooth and a grazer AND the Deathbringer back to FULL health and the time down considerably of course. WTF??????

I was trying to decipher what you meant by "yo-yo with the electric balls" and realized that you meant the Slings and can hurl elemental bombs. Those can be bought at most stores if I recall. But for the one I'm using in the video - the "Lodge Blast Sling" variant you have to complete all the Hunting Grounds. I think the Shadow Blast Sling should be enough to fight this boss ... it can be bought at Meridian for a bunch of shards & a lancehorn heart. Hope that helps out.

@@geezy8689 hmm I don't really know how to answer that with anything that could be helpful. I'd imagine that if you have the game on PC you could do customize mapping your keyboard keys to fast equip weapons ... like set the bow for key 1, set the sling to key 2, etc etc. But as for the controller ... I just got used to quick weapon switching after doing it for a long time that I can't really recall how it felt when I started playing the game and was getting use to all the steps necessary to do what I wanted to do.
@@ChengTeohmy biggest problem right now is that I’m playing it in ultra hard mode and I lost a lot of health in the first two phases (before getting up to The Spire) and the only weapon I have that is actually capable of even leaving a dent in the Deathbringer is Blast Wire, and even so I can’t go up to it without getting completely blasted to bits! I do have the Shieldweaver Armor but it barely does anything to keep me going. Any tips would be helpful.😅
@@LuckyTheCat256 If I remember correctly the Shield-weaver armor has relatively lower shield HP as you increase the game difficulty ... but on the plus side since the shield has lower HP it recharges faster. The only problem is on higher difficulties I do remember vaguely that even a Watcher has the ability to knock out that shield with just a well placed body slam on Ultra Hard. I can't imagine attempting this boss on Ultra hard with just the Blast Wire ... unless if you have a fully upgraded Shadow Tripcaster.
Hmm, do you by any chance have the Icerail Thrower? If you do, you should be able to temporarily freeze the Deathbringer which should make it easier to chip away at the health with a triple shot precision arrows towards the shoulder cannons first while strafing side to side to avoid the missiles. each triple shot should be doing around 1400 damage hopefully if you've decent mods to put on the weapon.
if your weapon can do that much damage per triple shot then you should be able to kill the deathbringer before it unfreezes.
I think the key is you need a weapon that does freeze well. from what I remember you can do more damage on most completely frozen enemies.
Now that I think about it there are several elevated positions that you can take advantage of as well as some high walls you can take cover behind if you don't have enough firepower to kill it quickly.
That's about all I can think of. Freezing imo is the most effective way to slow it down making it somewhat easier to beat. Hope my thoughts helps out a bit.

Hello there I know I'm late to ask but how do you unlock that skill of throwing 3 arrows I really appreciate the response.
Do side missions and just go "hunting" machines until you earn enough xp. Every time you level up you get sp which you can learn new skills with that sp. Once you "learn" the skill of firing 2 arrows at the same time, repeat to "learn" the 3 arrow skill.

Why do you change the bows you use with precision arrows?
It's just my preference, it feels to me that the precision arrows does good long range damage compared to hard point arrows. Depending on which Mods you attach to either bow types you could basically do the required amount of damage to stagger the deathbringers. You could in theory increase the handling to deal the same amount of damage with more arrows as you could by increasing the damage per arrow. To me I tend to go with the route that reduces the resources needed. :)
Thanks, but what I wanted to know why in this video you have equipped 3 sharpshot bows? Is it so you can prepare triple arrows on all of them or you have different mods on each copy?
Yes, I had triple arrows on all of them with the highest damage mods attached. I did it this way to make the fight quicker. Also the reloading of the triple shot / handling is relatively slow on the setup I've got (for example it gives me the opportunity to only get one 3-shot round off and a full 3-shot reload before the Deathbringer recovers from being staggered).
I went into the fight with 0 arrows so I’ve never actually completed the game because I can’t kill it and wasn’t gonna restart the game
