I went back to Rost's grave during the all-mother's invasion, and Aloy has a very specific line saying how she feels like visiting him even though there's an emergency going on. If you visit other places during the invasion, you will find interesting details too, such as the Aloy commenting about the merchant guy dying or her trying to find Old Greta but she went into hiding.
This is pretty cool. I just found a secret ending of my own. Not sure if you know about it, but I bet you do. The side quest Robbing the Rich has a secret ending. Nasan is already at the Shadow Carja fort, apparently from the start of the game. If you rescue him before beginning the quest, then instead of having to meet with the thief leader in the lakeside shack, you just tell the lady at the market stall that you already saved Nasan and tell her to stop stealing heirlooms. Probably a significant time save, too.
That's awesome. I'm gonna keep playing around and see what I find. Yesterday I learned you can clear out the Shadow Carja camps before talking to Varl and Sona near the ring of metal, but it doesn't appear to save you any time. I tried to sneak into the ring of metal itself without starting the quest, but I wasn't able to find a way in.
Not really a secret ending since the ending is the same, it’s just an alternate route. A lot of quests are like this like if you have an item someone needs in your inventory already, you can skip the hunting part of a quest. But, great tip though!

I don't know that I would call this the "secret" ending. That suggests a better or more preferable ending that gets missed. You called it a "bad" ending towards the end, and I think that's really the case. You failed successfully. ;). Anyway, such an amazing game with fantastic world building. That there is this level of detail in the game, alternate ways to complete missions, just shows how much love they put into this game. Can't wait for Forbidden West!
What? It being secret doesn't imply it is a better ending. It implies that the ending is not told to you. This particular ending was made an obvious option thus making it secret. Whether the ending was bad, good, neutral, or all out silly, it's an alternate ending that we did not know about or even told of.
It implies "better" to me. Regardless, this isn't an ending anyone should be getting unless they are specifically trying to speed run. They only way to get this ending is to deliberately ignore what's plainly in front of you, missing both part of the story and the rewards you get. I think it's laudable that Guerrilla put this alternate state into the quest line ... that shows a tremendous attention to detail. Even calling it "secret" suggests that it would be somehow desirable to experience, but it's not ... it's the worst possible outcome and doesn't really add to or change your understanding of the story; Aloy simply fails to do what she was supposed to. I think we all know that calling it a "secret" ending is a stretch and did its job in getting views.

Good job new and original content
Thank you :)
I thought I knew a lot, but I did not know about this. 👍
I know I’m late but I got the game two days ago and I’ve gone through about half of the games main storyline but I have to know wtf is that ice gun thing you had and how’d you get it
It's a story pickup you get halfway through the Frozen Wilds DLC
@@DeuxLeftHands thanks I got it now I just kept playing and got it
Your pretty good at horizon but do you play any other games? I would like to see that.
I play other games casually off stream but also I have recently started speedrunning Ghost of Tsushima :)
@@ElkjaerTV Nice!
@@ElkjaerTV I bought Ghost of Tsushima some months ago and before I used to play Horizon all the time, I still have it but Ghost kinda replaced Horizon rn. But I literally can't wait fir Forbidden West!
All of this just to ask, since you've beeb streaming Ghost, could you do a video about the hidden "sidequests" like they aren't marked in the journal but completing them gives you legend points.
the ice rail is actually good?
