Good news everyone! cue professor meme Helldivers 2 devs reveal the existence of a game master guiding our intergalactic campaign, Grimwit reacts! Twitch: / grimwittv
Yeah one simple thing is when a change or story element happens to your mission, your comms. says "Attention Helldivers, conditions on the ground have changed." Or say your Ship gets blown up in orbit and you hear "Helldiver we're taking fire........ahhhhhh....." then you lose your strategems for some period of time until another ship arrives.
@@GrimwitTVI have a ton of ideas like this and they're all very simple that would really make everyone feel more involved in the story. I'm not sure the folks at the studio have ever played DnD. Yes you'd map out the bots/bugs campaign so you knew what to change, but you have to communicate to the players or else the GM is the only one playing the game.
Agreed, the GM could be super involved with the community's campaign but if they don't find ways to communicate that to players then it can just feel like this is how the game was always supposed to be instead of "this is the path our efforts have lead us to"
Id like to see like global orders to do missions to unlock new stratagems instead of releasing them in patches. maybe instead of doing massive nerfs or buffs its like "we do so many missions of dropping chemicals that we've weakened something". or the the bugs have evolved to protect from certain damage and then when they wanna test potency/balance of a new stratagem it can be just experimental use modifier on a planet
I love this idea! I think I actually saw something recently on the subreddit about how mechs are being built on a particular planet that's near automaton space. Take this with a grain of salt though, I didn't verify how true this is or isn't. Would be awesome to see the community have to band together to unlock mechs though!
@@GrimwitTV Instead of saying there were development delays they could just be like "the mech facility is under attack and its delaying production. we must reinforce the planet!" lol
There's also a rumor that a third front will open to a new faction. Then there was another far reach out in left field rumor that the south sector would open up to forth human rebel faction. The rebel faction would open up to a pvp front but I felt that was a bit of a stretch. Too many moving pieces and players already get irritated in PvE when they wake up and all progress the day before was lost. No telling what the devs end up doing. I could see a third faction possibility.
I'm doubtful about PVP but I think a third faction coming at some point is almost a certainty. Even a fourth faction I'm feeling hopeful for, just considering how the map is laid out thus far!
On higher difficulties they do have the extended extraction times, but afaik there's no message or voice line about it. It could be listed under the planet's "effects" but idk. What I was trying to say though was that I would like them to add things like voice lines to make things like those extended extraction times feel like a spontaneous event.
I bet Joel is just some Neural Link chimp for the natural RNG.

This would be absolutely sick! I could totally see this working on missions with bots

@@GrimwitTVLike make Super Earth a social "Hub" where everyone can jump too and then get updates, strategize, roleplay as their characters, etc...

I hate to ruin your 69 subscribers, but I just had to subscribe 😜
Love your voice!

@@GrimwitTV lmao i just saw the new global order... liberate the planet where the exosuits are being made...
@@Funnyfresh420 Haha, same actually! Literally heard about it on a stream I was listening to on my drive home 😂

i think they already have that. 100% deploy time is include dropship. so you need to def fk ton of bug/bot for 4 min.

You need to do more research. There’s a lottery where you can call down a mech or an APC.
In helldivers 2? Can you shoot me a source for this? I can't find anything except leaks about mechs, which haven't been added to the game yet afaik
