The FOUNDATION of Nigeria remains the only problem because Nigeria has no foundation to start with. Neither lord lugard in 1914, Neither awolowo, azikiwe, Bello, or even Obasanjo In 1999 laid the foundation for Nigeria. Foundation of Every country is development of ONE IDEOLOGY, one ideology is what makes a group on people A NATION, a Nation is what makes you a CITIZEN and citizens becomes two groups of PATRIOTS, which is ACTIVE CITIZENS and ACTIVE LEADERS. Active leaders and active citizens works hand in hand to built a civilized, modern and comfortable society.
After many decades living in and out of the enclave called Nigeria, I have come to believe that the only sane people among the group of federating units who make up what is known as Nigeria are the ones they derogatorily call "Minorities..." In Nigeria, given the pseudo-democratic constitution we have been saddled with, to be Igbo, Fulani, Yoruba or Hausa is to be hugely compromised and committed to making Nigeria unworkable, given the size of each. Think of all the big and small wars both real and imagined that have been fought within the Nigerian space since 1960; consider all the interethnic wahala that have contributed in no small measure to stall the progress of this great country that has forever sought to become a nation without luck. It could all be laid at the premises of just four groups in a federation that boasts hundreds of ethnic groups that the four choose to malign and call "Minorities," who are expected to sit on their hands and perform the role of the reluctant referee while the "Majority" Four slug it out among themselves. Whoever denies that my above-stated position is the cause of ALL the ailments afflicting the Nigerian polity must belong to one of the "Majority" four I have mentioned above. The "Minority" group is made up of the true patriots who though lacking the clout and influence to deal with those overbearing FOUR, as ex-President Goodluck Jonathan had discovered to his chagrin, possess the true love and devotion to nurse Nigeria to greatness and make it a nation that it has long deserved to be. If Jonathan were to hail from one of the Group Four ethnic blocks, we could still have a full-scale war on our hands today. "...nobody's ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian..." - Jonathan. Did you believe that such a statement could ensue from the chest of a member of any of the Four groups? Now tell me, who loves Nigeria the most? Any member of Group Four who thinks like the interviewee must have been used to dining with the group of "Minorities," which is strange. A nation such as a plural Great Britain, for example, where a constitution that does not respect its plurality nor equality of its members, where the rule of law could be purchased or trampled upon... That alone could have prevented that country from becoming the great nation that it has become today. The best way to build a nation comprised of federating groups such as Nigeria is to adopt a true federal constitution that respects the rights and equality of every federating unit no matter how small, one that upholds the rule of law in every case and situation. Only then could the federating units, big and small, gain the confidence to emerge from their ethnic shells feeling like equals and willing to play on the same pedestal with each other without nursing any idea that one of them could suddenly become a wayorist. The unity, trust, patriotic zeal, sense of purpose and belonging required to drive the nation will begin to form the basis for leaving our tribes behind and forging that cohesive unit that leads to nation-state status. Before long, Nigeria, the country where two great rivers flow, could become the nation that God has ordained for Africa and the world. I strongly believe that Nigeria has a profound role to play on the world stage, but not with the present crop of geriatric leaders who are, by nature, compromised by the nuances of tribe, tongue and faith.
Truth is he really doesn’t need to be in power, we just need to keep supporting the right set of people that are as passionate as him to lead us in Nigeria 😊
First, let's absorb his message and then collaborate with him in civic education, creating a ripple effect that encourages more people to join the crusade for positive change...
This man's children are really blessed.👌❤️🥰 They'll be walking tall that they have a SPOTLESS Dad Whose name has been written with GOLD in the history of NIGERIA 👌👊
This is profound and instructive. Am thankful to Dele. Posterity will write him in gold. Setting the record straight . Men like Afe Babalola established this system but with all these exposures, great things will happen by God's grace.
People like Barrister Dele Farotimi that confront the absurdities of the Nigerian calamities frontally. His likes are rare gem. Until we come to the point of realization that it's time to lay true foundation for a democratic nation, where the rule of law reigns supreme. Kudos to Dele Farotimi and the interviewer.
But unfortunately, some of his fellow tribesmen do not like him for speaking as a detribalised man.most of them are ethnic lord's and are so so sycophants that they talk from both sides of their mouth. Tribalism is in their DNA.
In 50 years time no one will remember any of these people criticising Mr Farotimi but his legacy will live forever. By the way there are people like Farotimi in this world. They are not motivated by money or worldly possessions . We need voices like him in the Nigerian economic and political space. By the way if Mr Farotimi needs funding there are so many of us who will be there for him . Just ask

Quite an interesting discuss that speaks to everything wrong with Nigerian system. From the putrid corruption that holds sway in the Judiciary to the audacious breach in the rule of by criminals in power, Fela went all out to address the Nigerian situation. Nigeria glorifies and reward criminality. This encourages indulgence in acts that daunts the rule of law in their quest to satiate vain and effeminate wants. This unfettered lawlessness are what we see manifesting today in the various ways that has rendered the average Nigerian an endangered species within his geographical space. Truly, the system needs to be sanitized, and it all begins with it's leadership. Finding people like Mr. Farotimi, who, against all odds, speak truth to power. People with immaterial needs, who aren't moved by vain glory, but are only committed to truth and justice. The interview was insightful (courtesy Mr. Farotimi). Methinks the host would be better suited for other parleys rather than an intense political discuss.
@@michaelraymond558 thank you for your insight , you should know that this topic is already very intense and to carry everyone along a host like Osayuwamen is needed. I am certain that there are still a few good men in Nigeria. It will take just electing one good person as President to bring people like Farotimi to the fore, to reform the country.

We are on our way to getting out of it when people like Mr Fatorimi start to be listened to. It is long overdue and needs to be replicated across the continent. Excellent review. Both of you are wonderful. Now to the "system"; This "system" is been operated by "organisations" (cults). One of them is the legal organisations, which you belong to. On the judiciary, I am happy you are part of it, and from your definition of it, and its functions. If, it can not take sides with any of the parties. Its ruling, should be based on the arguments tendered by each side, which should be convincing beyond reasonable doubts. This may not truly be the truth. How, can the ruling be blamed, which ever way, it went?
