This is a good demo. Well explained. BUT this is not wavetable synthesis, it is single cycle wave oscillator synthesis.

DUDE! Was looking for this exact thing! Thank you! You got my gears are turning. PLUGINS? Heck, this is better! Need a vocal vowel wavetable. Oohhh, wave step! ;)

Pure Genius! You literally just pulled a synth out of that MPC One. Thank you, especially for sharing the math required to get that done!

This is awesome, thank you very much! But... it's not REALLY wavetable synthesis. WT synthesis requires modulating between a set of single-cycle waveforms as the oscillator. This is much more like Ensoniq's Transwave Synthesis, although technically that requires modulating the loop window in discrete jumps, instead of smoothly scanning the loop window like you are here. This is a commonly available feature in a lot of samplers these days, but it is absolutely underrated as a method to create oscillator sources, so thank you so much for showing us how to do it on the MPC One!!

Thank you!! 🙏🏿 This was explained very well! I really need to explore this more on the Force. One drum rack can get you 64 different patches! Time to play!

This is very cool. Have you tried it in a key group program when there is more than one key group? IE a multi sample. Do you have to set up a wave in each of the samples manually to make it sound the same across the keyboard or doesn't it matter given the small size of the grain?

I have not tried this yet, but it would be interesting to explore! will get back to you :)

This is not what is considered wavetable… this is more accurately described as granular

Could this be saved as a keygroup to be reused, and if so, how??

Can this be done with the software also?

Is it possible to modulate the start/endpoints with an LFO, keeping them at the same distance apart so as to maintain tuning?

It is not, but I wish it was!

That’s a friggin cool idea!! Might be able to do it on the Wavestate? God knows you can slap an oscillator on friggin anything in that insane machine!!

In wavetable synthesis there should be a _table_ of _waves_. A wave is a single cycle worth of PCM samples. And as far as I can see, you have only one such wave there. Where's the rest of the table, all the other table entries? I'd consider fixing the title.

The idea behind putting in the time to create and upload this video was simply to share with others an interesting and unusual way to create sounds within the MPC. Apologies if the terminology is wrong. Hope you still found the video helpful.
